NASWM · 22/02/2006 21:07

DSs have hospital appointment tomorrow morning. If anyone could spare a prayer? Thanks

SleepyJess · 22/02/2006 23:32

Please could anyone spare a small prayer for DS2. He is 5 and has cp and various other health issues - but that is not the problem (really it's not.. he doesn't mind a bit! ) The problem is that he has now been ill for 12 days.. and nights.. intitially with this bug that so many kids have.. but it has now morphed into brochitis and a more serious chest infection. I can't describe how unlike himself he is.. normally he is charging everywhere (crawling) and trashing the house. Now it stays tidy .. and all the safety gates can remain open because he doesn't have the strength to crawl over to them let alone through them,, .. his appetite is rubbish.. he is missing school (which he loves).. he is barely talking (he says lots of single words and short sentences normally).. he is just so exhausted and a shadow of his normal self.

Thanks guys. Would really appreciate it. Am going to read through the prayer list now and add you to mine. xx

CaptainDippy · 23/02/2006 09:15

Soooo glad Dizzy's DS' op went well - Hurrah!!

NASWM - praying for appointments today and praying hard for your FIL Allie - Do update both of you!!

SleepyJess - Praying so much for your DS - that sounds awful - I know when my DD1 had pneumonia it was the worst thing in the whole world. It was like having another child, I just felt so helpless and devestated - I will pray for strength for you all and a healing miracle for DS so that he can come back to his normal self again - Keep us posted and give him kisses from my DD's!!!!!!

NASWM · 23/02/2006 14:58

Just to up-date, Anya and her Mummy got home last night, peadiatrician past them both to go home - wee one no longer needed the anti-biotics and was feeding fine, so given all clear! My mastitus seems to be just about gone, very glad didn't need to see surgeon etc. PIL here for a visit so have some company and have had a nice time showing them around. Thanks for your prayers, remembering other requests.

Milliways · 23/02/2006 21:54

Hiya everyone - gosh, we needed a new thread!

No change with DH & job, but would request prayers that DS will accept that the secondary school he is allocated on 1st March will be the right one for him (he is desparately hoping for a place at the HUGELY oversubscribed grammar, but we are extremely fortunate to be in catchment of fantastic comp where his sister is doing very well)

KateF · 23/02/2006 21:59

Hi all -just dropping in to update myself on prayer requests. Many thanks for prayers for the Dunnes - latest is that Philip is stable following surgery but please pray that a transplant becomes avilable soon. Also for his wife Victoria whose mother is now in hospital too.

longwaytogo · 24/02/2006 08:10

DH still unwell and off work which isn't good as he's not on a permanent contract yet - interview 1st March

Have just found this thread and am so touched at your support. Am about to do something tomorrow that I've not done for a while, it used to give me a great deal of pleasure and serenity but has become a phobia due to an accident.

Was wondering if you could pray for my safe return and for the return of my enjoyment of the thing I used to love so much!

CaptainDippy · 24/02/2006 23:01

Read the thread all about your DS sleepyjess and I am just so I just pray that he would be restored - poor wee thing. Please update your thread whenever you have a chance and we will all be praying for you here!!

Welcome nervousstarter - Will absolutely be praying. Please let us know how it goes!!

DD1's 2nd Birthday Party tomorrow - exciting stuff. Please pray it all goes smoothly without too much chaos (yeah, right!! ) and especially pray for PIL as they fly off to BIL's Wedding in New Zealand for 3 weeks tomorrow evening after the party. Thank you!!

CaptainDippy · 27/02/2006 12:29

Hello!! Thank you for your post nervousstarter and sleepyjess - So glad that they thing that you did went so well nervousstarter - have been praying for you so that is good news indeed!! =-)Do stay with us, it would be lovely to hve you as part of our little community here!! Smile

I am sooooo pleased that your DS is going back to school sleepyjess, that warmed my cockles!!! Smile I just pray that energy levels and eating get back up to normal and you can have your nutty little boy back soon!! Smile

Please please please pray for my DD1 right now. She dropped daytime sleeps about a month and a bit ago and is usual very tired and grumpy all day long. It very very tiring for me (espcially with DD2, 9 months, in tow) and I just don't know how to handle it. Most of the time I cope ok and just take her to a group in the morning and have lunch then go straight out again (she sometimes falls asleep for a little while in the pram) - It's a pretty full-on day for me but seems to work ok. However, she just gets days where she goes completely nuts - Today is one of those days and I am scared that I might lash out at her or something.....

I took her to her group this morning and she had a bit of a paddy at the end, it was pretty difficult getting her home. When we got home, I tried to give her and DD2 lunch. DD2 was exhausted (I have to get her up early from her morning nap if we go out) so I've put her to bed and she is asleep. DD1 was screaming loads and tired too so I have put her down in DD1's cot (she sleeps in a bed ususally) - She is thrashing around and screaming like someone is killing her and I am finding myself just getting soooo Angry It is horrible and I just feel helpless. Please pray for patience and understanding and that DD1 would just get this out of her system soon because it is not good for her and not good for any of us. I just feel so stressed out and out of control.

Sorry for such a waffley rant, but I just needed to get that out of my system. Thank you!! Smile

Hi CaptainDippy

Onto it. Where do you find the time to come onto mn as well as looking after them both! You are amazing. Do you have a car? I used to strap mine in and drive around the ringroad when one or both was like that. Alternatively how about getting her to have a lie down with you, perhaps when dd1 is asleep too - a quiet time after lunch perhaps. Failing that, of course, we'll be praying for energy and patience and peace for you both, in appropriate measure.

PS Have you seen the message from Robinpud on the earlier prayer thread?

VTM (though probably not as tired as you today!)
