Thank you VTM - Really appreciate your post - DD's are in bed now, hurrah!!! I am absolutely exhausted, bath and an early night tonight me thinks!!

My friend turned up at about 1.15pm and DD1 was STILL going for it so I just got her out of her cot and she was fine Shock Angry She ate some lunch and we all went swimming. She was pretty whingy towards the end of swimming, but not too bad. Perhaps she just needed to get it all out of her system!!!?

I post very quickly during the day on MN when DD1 is playing happily in the living room - I buzz upstairs super quick and I use my whizz speed typing to catch up on everything before she does something naughty (which is generally about 10 mins max!!) Or I wait til the evening.

Didn't see Robinpud's post - will go and find it - Thank you!!

Praying for you too VTM - xxxxxx

Its going to be a difficult week chez NASWM. I've got my first counselling session tomorrow afternoon. DS2 has important hospital appointment tomorrow morning as well as all day hospital session on Wednesday (different hospital). Can I ask for a quick prayer for strength please and good health for all? DS1 very poorly today with v high temperature. thanks

CaptainDippy · 27/02/2006 21:54

Wil pray that God pulls you through this week NASWM - Keep updating and I'll be praying for you lots and lots. xxxx

Verytiredmum · 27/02/2006 22:04

Evening ladies

Will be praying for you tomorrow NASW. That temperature needs to go down before your counselling session so that you can focus on yourself for a while. Prayers for ds's hospital appointments too.

Sooo glad that dd calmed down CD. As you say, sounds as if she needed to get it all out of her system. (They don't call this the terrible twos for nothing!) Hope you are already asleep!

NASWM · 28/02/2006 09:10

thanks everyone. DS1 temp down this morning. Thank God.

CaptainDippy · 28/02/2006 15:06

Heeeello!!

Glad that DS' temp is down NASWM - an answer to prayer - do let us know how the counselling session goes and the hospital, praying for you lots .......

DD1 has been a bit of a horror again today - Went to make teas and coffees for a charity thing, left DD2 at home asleep with friend and took DD1 with me. She fell asleep on the way there (no surprised as she was up at 5am!!) and conitued to sleep for a little while, while I made teas and coffees. She then woke up and screamed and was very very grumpy - Wanted to sit on my knee the whole time and threw all the food I gave her on the floor. Sigh. Glad that she is at nursery this afternoon and I can get a bit of a break ......

Well sort of ......

DH and I are going to see our financial advisor in a wee while re: getting a mortgage etc (currently living with PIL for 2 years and it sucks!!!) So pleeeeeeease pray God's will be done and something happens - Anything, just hate this stagnant feeling!!

Also, a few prayers for my driving would be cool - I am just quite simply crap - Can seem to focus for more than 30 mins (lessons are an hour) - I have had about 26 lessons now and I am still making stupid mistakes. It is costing a fortune and I just wanna get it over and done with!! Bleurgh!!

Thank you for your time!! Smile

More updates please.......

xxxxx

Just quickly checking in. Things yesterday went well. AM much better than hoped. PM ok - going to be tough but I dont mind that if it helps. Today expecing to be a long one. Thanks for your prayers. Very much appreciated. x

CaptainDippy · 01/03/2006 12:39

Glad it was all better than you hoped NASWM!! Will continue to pray - Keep updating!! Smile

Today is going better for me - sort of - Well DH and I finally relented and put the side back on DD1's cot. She slept ok last night, although she woke up at 6am and wouldn't settle - I put her down at 10am today (the time her nap used to be) and she went straight to sleep and is still asleep now. I have mixed emotions. I was sort of getting used to the fact that she no longer had daytime sleeps and had rediscovered some nice morning time toddlers group etc - I don't know if this is going to be a one off or whether the side back on the cot means we're going back to daytime naps. I am pleased that she is sleeping cos she was getting unbearable to be with during the day; but I feel disappointed at the same time cos we'd just got her into a bed and I feel like we are going backwards. Does that make any sense??? I just feel all "is it, isn't it!!!?" I just want to know if this is back to morning sleeps or what - Please pray I can remain calm and that some sort of routine would be made apparent soon - Sorry for waffling, just wanted to outpour - Thank you for your prayers. Smile xxx

CaptainDippy · 01/03/2006 22:10

How was DH's job interview today longwaytogo?? how are you doing??

OP posts:
Verytiredmum · 02/03/2006 09:29

So glad to hear that things went well NASW. Will continue to pray for you all.

Glad to hear that your days are calmer, CD. It will only be a few months before dd1 can move her sleep back to lunchtime or give it up altogether (Ds2 is 2.7 now. He dropped his sleep and then needed it back again a while ago. He still has one, usually at lunchtime. (In our house, sleep takes priority over food!) It is nice being able to do morning groups now too.

Can I ask for prayers for energy please, and that I will draw on His strength rather than draining my already exhausted resources. I feel as limp as a lettuce leaf at the moment. Also prayers for a really fruitful lent-time this year, for all of those using it to re-evaluate and refresh their relationship with the Lord.

God bless.

Saggarmakersbottomknocker · 02/03/2006 09:36

Hi Ladies - could I ask you to put a word in for two poorly little babies?

One is on a vent and we are hoping today that a second opinion will give the family hope.

The other is due for massive open heart surgery tomorrow. She's already had to wait a week longer than hoped due to a V&D and a chest infection. The surgeons don't really know the way forward with her and one of the ops on the cards is rarely done on such a young baby.

They both really need all the help they can get.

Many thanks!

CaptainDippy · 02/03/2006 10:17

Will pray VTM - and thank you for the advice and support re: DD1 and her naps (she is currently sleeping at the moment, so perhaps it was taking the cot side off - am going to try for lunchtime naps next week when I am feeling a little more "together" and motivated - don't want to miss out on the morning groups I've started going to, that would be a shame!!) Just praying that God would give you the hugest ZAP of energy so that you can cope with things better etc. I reiterate your pryaer for us all at this Lent / Easter time - may be all "re-evalute and refresh" our relationship with the Lord and remember His wonderful promises to us and His great Love in sending His Son to die - so that we might live - Yippee!! I really pray for a fresh insight and a real joy to fill everyone here - I think we all need it - God has a special place for Mothers, I am sure of it!! Smile

I will defintely pray for those two wee ones SMBK - Please update and let us know how they are getting on - May God hold onto them tightly, I really hope they pull through. Thank you for your post - Keep asking for prayer everyone, it is so essential!!

Later!! xxxx

Please pray that it doesn't take too long to fill in (sooooooo much to do, only opportunity to do it!) and that if it is in God's Will, that I would get an interview. I just want to get the job that He wants me to have cos of mortgages etc etc - It is all very complicated - Just pray for a smooth path to created out of all this confusion - Thank you!! Smile

Saggarmakersbottomknocker · 03/03/2006 15:24

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

Baby G went to theatre at 8am this morning and is just back in PICU. She's stable but obviously things will be tough for a while.

We still don't have new about the second opinion for the other little one. Still hoping it will be good news.

Verytiredmum - I'm not medical, I belong to a community of parents of children with heart disease. It's a tough week this week for quite a few of the children. Thanks again for keeping them in your prayers.

MarsOnLife · 03/03/2006 16:26

Thank you for your prayers. My nerve held as everyone was getting excited. The letter came today and DD1 got our first choice school. I'm so happy. Grin

I'm continuing to pray for everyone here. Smile
