You don’t have to do much digging on the local Nextdoor page to find some howlers. Two in one post: “a friend brang a cat over” (yep) and “this is what I fount out”. Glorious.

‘Brang’ sounds like a dialect thing to me. Where I grew up, ‘brung’ was quite commonplace.
(bloody hell that was difficult to type in, my autocorrect really didn’t like it!)

I take your point but I’m not convinced 🤔 We are in deep South East London. Then again, folks relocate.

I was in south east Essex, with possibly more London influence than east Anglian.

It’s possible 🤣 One that I’m seeing more frequently is the misuse of ‘phased/fazed’ for example: “he was completely unphased”. Was he? Really?

Is it lasagna or lasagne? Is one singular and one plural??

Depends on whether the enemies were European or North American.
It was in Food/recipes so probably a dish best served cold.

Apparently the Italians, who one supposes should be the arbiters, use lasagna for one sheet and lasagne for multiple sheets or the dish.
