We always said addydas.
I mostly said ly-Nux because it should surely sound like Linus which I’ve only ever heard that pronounced Lynus. Most of my colleagues said Linnux. But most of them were in the US so there were quite a few terms I’d pronounce differently anyway.

I clicked on this with horror to find that the actual Independent article headline was correct, and genuinely about sore eyes, not highlighting poor spelling! I’m guessing that this is caused by an AI speech to text mistake? No wonder some people’s spelling is all to shit.
