Am sitting here eating gigantic bar of Dairy Milk to numb the shock celebrate..

although it was our 4th month of trying I had sort of expected it not to happen again as both dds were conceived first month of trying.

If all goes well the baby will be due August 25th and the dds will be just under 3 and just under 2.

Hi saladfingers of course you're welcome to join in! And let me in to the secretly fabulous world of having 3 children [hopeful emotcion] Are you planning on having any more?

Hope your floor survived Tracy..

Congrats GYA - your DD will be my dads birthday and will be a Virgo

3 children is great, the only downside was that we had to get a bigger car as our lovely Alfa woyldnt fit three car seats in.

Welcome Saladfingers

Quick post from me, will be back later.

girlsyearapartispregnant · 18/12/2009 08:38

note Mario you put DD not DC!

I am hoping it will be a girl as with two girls I don't think I'd know what to do with a boy!

I think we need a bigger car too as only got a lap belt in the middle but DH being resistant to that as DD1 will be in a booster by then..

Hi All

It's snowing! Although that means that I've spent all morning getting to nursery (to DD's xmas party) and back again, then to the CM's and then the supermarket (which was eerily quiet for a friday near xmas). So we will not starve, but I've done no work and my DCs are on the other side of town (told CM to call if they look like they might be snowed in as I don't fancy a 6 mile walk to get them...).
So hell! as I've done no work, I might as well post on here.

Hi and welcome saladfingers

I'm so happy for you GYA - I'm sure you'd cope fine with a boy (I never thought I'd get on with a boy that well, and DS is a star).

I like the 'custard'. DD learnt shapes from biscuits , or better: (I kind of thought that emoticon was missing earlier in the week - are we being watched??)

Must do some work. (I'm sure I'm due a tea break soon though...)

Jewelsandgems · 18/12/2009 21:46

Welcome salad

And congrats GYA!! What brilliant news for you and your family. Wow a summer baby!

Sorry I have not posted for ages, just been hectic here - lots of relations came to stay, then went, and then have brother arriving sunday for christmas, then we are off to london......[stressed out emoticon]

But I am filled with the joys of christmas, I do love it - house looks very christmassy and I am starting to get the hang of driving in the snow.

Have another bout of christmas shopping tomorrow AM and then all done!

Oh and Freya saw a ghost last night, he was on hr windowsill, then on the ceiling, then outside and this evening he was in 'daddy's boot'. Hmmmm, I have told her to come into our toom if she sees the ghost again. She also told me he was a naughty ghost so I told her I had put him on the naughty step forever, so she will never see him again. I am not sure how this will go....wish me luck at being a ghostbuster..... ooh love the christmas emoticons

LOL at chaotica re the washing (mine is still in th machine, being freshly washed this morning - can I be bothered now??)

J&G x

hi SaladFingers - welcome to the thread. i'm new too, only joined the other out of desperation!

and a VERY. BIG. CONGRATULATIONS to GYAispregnant. what brilliant news! yes, my DD (5 months now) took 2 months to conceive and i was convinced i was never going to conceive again as DS was conceived almost instantly. lol

my two showed signs of playing together yesterday. i had to bite my tongue from laughing out with glee and happiness as i tried to remember that siblings (esp' normal ones) will also fight as much as they will play happily together. brilliant to see the beginnings of a possible future though!

girlsyearapartispregnant · 19/12/2009 08:46

Morning all thanks for the Congrats..

I hate this early stage though! Wish I'd found out at 11 weeks rather than 4 so I wouldn't have to wait so long for my scan..

Though it would be rather pickled in Christmas alcohol at that rate

The best time is in the middle where you look pregnant not just fat/can still sleep/do what you want (ish)

Am panicking about having 3 a little bit though as lots of people have said it's the third that sends you over the edge!

J&G the ghost thing sounds a bit spooky! Where did she get the idea about ghosts from??

Sukkwan good news! It's lovely when they wreck the house play together!

Chaotica · 19/12/2009 15:30

Afternoon, Ladies

GYA - probably a good thing that you found out before xmas to avoid a drunken baby. (I tried to persuade the playgroup to put vodka in the parents' fruitjuice at the party, but I didn't have much success .)

We've been out playing in the snow and ice today. It's not snowman snow though but we might be due more tonight so maybe...

Hi J&G - glad to see you're still with us. Very strange about the ghost (DD had a monster phase, and DS is quite good at saying he saw a tiger... )

Have to make some xmas pudding later (we have an adapted version where we leave out everything we don't like). Quite excited about xmas, but I wish I'd got some presents as it's too icy to drive to the local big town.

I agree - it is lovely when the DCs start playing together

Chaotica · 20/12/2009 15:23

Grrr. Both my two are sick today. Just after I had DD checked over at the GP's and now her temperature is up and she wants to sleep . I hope we're not back there tomorrow...

(Hope you're all having a better day than I am )

Chaotica · 20/12/2009 15:23

...Sent DP out to a toyshop - I hope he has a santa-inspiration moment...

girlsyearapart · 20/12/2009 17:41

No chaotica not having good day either.

The baby is gone

Scan tomorrow to check nothing left.

OP posts:
Jewelsandgems · 20/12/2009 19:13

Oh GYA I am so so sorry.

Chaotica · 20/12/2009 21:25

So sorry to hear that, GYA

Chaotica · 21/12/2009 16:49

Afternoon All

Finally did some christmas shopping (although not all of it) - I won't be totally mortified come the end of the week and the DCs have something to show for santa, or no-santa - we haven't decided who is bringing the presents... DP refused to have Santa in the house (bad experience as a child ), but DD says she knows he's real because she's seen him, and sat next to him, and he said 'Ho ho ho!'... So that proves it! )

I hope you're OK GYA - have an unMN hug from me in the meantime.

girlsyearapart · 21/12/2009 19:33

Hi ladies --> is not enough!

The scan today showed that the baby is still there, heart beating and all looking perfectly normal.

I am further along than i thought 7wks 3 days. They can't find a reason for the bleeding.

OP posts:
Jewelsandgems · 21/12/2009 20:31

GYA what happy news! As I said on your thread, I had bleeding with Izzy and everything was fine

Chaotica · 21/12/2009 21:26

for you GYA!

Chaotica · 22/12/2009 10:22

Aaaargh! I was supposed to be sorting out xmas things working today, and DS has croup and DD is not too well either. So I have two sick children, 2cm of ice on the road outside (which is putting me off going out) and about 20 presents to wrap which I need to do in secret.

Sorry - moan over.
...I should go and pull myself together and become SuperMum

girlsyearapart · 22/12/2009 15:49

Yep off you trot SuperMum

I'll just sit here ignoring the fact that the dog hasn't been walked in 2 days (tooicy), the presents haven't been wrapped and that the house looks like a slum and MIL is babysitting tonight while we go to see Jimmy Carr live..

OP posts:
Chaotica · 22/12/2009 21:25

Sick children and now sick DP (in bed delerious with something or other). Shall I just not bother with christmas?

OTOH I would like to thank the bin men for parking up for a break on our street today - it was the highlight of DS's day. Well, that and the game of footie he managed on the snowy lawn. There is hope...

Hope you're all well.

I know I put that SuperMum cloak somewhere - just can't seem to find it

Jewelsandgems · 22/12/2009 21:39

chaotica men can be ill at the drop of a hat can't they? Mine are not ill currently, but does that mean by the time christmas day comes it will be our turn?

tracyface · 23/12/2009 12:35

Hello everyone, not had a chance to catch up but will pop back when i get a chance as having another Isaac catastophe the minute I get on here......

Chaotica · 23/12/2009 16:16

Hi All

I seem to have drawn the short xmas-preparation straw around here. Just braved the supermarket with two sick children (and survived - just - so went to the cafe to celebrate).

Will anybody but me be better for xmas? (Or will I be ill by then? ) Unfortunately, DS thinks that DP is going to die because he is sick and not getting out of bed (like our cat before she died ).

I hope you're all having fun.

tracyface · 24/12/2009 22:47

Hi All!

Just wanted to wish you all a very Happy Christmas.......Im so excited .

Just finished wrapping and off to bed wonder what time my chunky little cherubs will have us up. Melissa is desparate for her pink bike and went off to bed like a dream thank goodness.

tracyface · 24/12/2009 23:09

Hope you all have a great day tomorrow
