ILMD and Daisy - The tots wrap is a size 1 purple with white spots If either of you want it then I'm happy to sell, but it won't be a bargain because I can't bare to lose money on it atm. I hate selling nappies, not just because I love all my nappies, but because it's a real pain in the ass, I find it surprisingly stressful!

I now also have 12 small Sandy's for sale, some worn once, some worn twice, all were bought brand new so they're pristine, I'm asking for £6 each or a concession for buying all 12. I totally can't believe that I'm selling them without properly using them even, I hate my DP sometimes! Got to keep my mind on the goal though, Ittis Ittis Ittis!

I am giving a lady on email one more day to get back to me, but otherwise I also have a blue gelato and a purple gelato Upsy Daisy, and a cadbury's purple WeeNotions, all in Medium to sell if anyone's interested at all, sob. Pics are here

this page

HOPING to have a baby in next 24 hours as mw came and did the mother of all sweeps today [tmi sorry]. The I sat her down and gave her a run down on the stash. She was mighty impressed and is going to tell her mums about them!

afterglow · 14/01/2009 18:11

I'm using a nappy trial at the moment and have topped it up with bumgenius, tots bots and itti bitti aio's. Have found that the tots one is more fuss (marginally) than the bg and not as pretty/slim as the itti bitti. It seems to have big legholes (though no leaks so far) and it does dry very quickly.

Can you really use Itti Bittis full-time then? I find they last about two hours maximum then soak everything - love them for show/short periods when I know a change is nigh... but if I'm somewhere where I am likely to be busy eating cake it has to be something more reliable like a BumGenius.

lollipopmother · 14/01/2009 20:16

Really Swampster, I find them quite absorbent, I only use the folded booster with a liner, or the fleece booster with the extra mini-booster.

swampster · 14/01/2009 20:31

I'm utterly gobsmacked Lollipop - how old is your little one?

swampster · 14/01/2009 20:33

(I use all three ).

lollipopmother · 14/01/2009 20:34

17 weeks so only little, I can get 4h out of the folded one easily although obv I try and change her before that!

swampster · 14/01/2009 20:38

I strongly advise you NOT to put all your money from selling your other nappies into JUST Itti Bittis - have you tried your DH on BumGenius or Close Parent Pop-ins? I've not tried Pop-ins but they look lovely!

lollipopmother · 14/01/2009 20:46

Don't worry hun I still have a small stash of Sandy's, Bamboozles, Blueberry's and Pop-ins! I have 10 Ittis now but that's all we need. TBH i'm far more worried about night nappies as I just can't find one I like, BH just stink and I can't stand it, so i'm using the Pop-ins but I don't like the fact they're not fleece lined.

ilovelovemydog · 14/01/2009 20:50

Lollipop Agree with others about keeping a bit of a variety. Never know the shape of DC 2

LackaDAISYcal · 14/01/2009 20:50

lilac spots might be a bit too ladylike for my big bruiser of a DS

LackaDAISYcal · 14/01/2009 20:52

lollipop have you tried flexitots for overnight?

rusmum · 14/01/2009 21:02

OK what is a ittis??

rusmum · 14/01/2009 21:03

Any joy selling lollipop??
I got bargain sandys 7 new ones for £25 people really dropping prices as nothong selling- nightmare, i have given up.

swampster · 14/01/2009 21:25

Sounds sorted Lollipop. I've never found my BHs to pong - and we've talked about my fave Baby Beehinds before haven't we? I LOVE them. Don't even need a fleece as they are sooooooo fleecey in themselves.

Rusmum Ittis! FEEL the fluff!!!

lollipopmother · 14/01/2009 22:01

Rusmum - Jesus Christ, 7 brand new Sandy's for £25? That's ridiculous! I've had some success but not on my Sandy's, but then I'm asking for £6 and I'm not going to decrease the price yet because that's a good price I think really, but maybe I'm wrong.

Swampster - Has your BH really never smelt? Mine absolutely stink when they're wet and they were brand new. It's the same with the Fluffle, yak.

Daisy - Is the Flexitot a night nappy then? I've only heard bad things about them tbh, it's those that have been having problems with the outer fabric isn't it?

Tbh I'm starting to fall out of love with reusables, I feel like there's too many to choose from and yet I'm not comfortable with what I've got. It doesn't help that I've looked at my bank balance and I have no money. I feel depressed today, not showing much is it!

thebluefoxategreensocks · 14/01/2009 22:08

rusmum: You were asking about pockets earlier (or was it yesterday)? Anyway, if you want to give one a try, I can sell you a cheap Wonderoos birth to potty pocket! I've tried quite a few pockets (apart from the posh & very expensive ones!) and find them & FuzziBunz are the most reliable. Probably I'd think the Wonderoos more reliable than Fuzzis, but my little boy prefers the Fuzzibunz (fleece is slightly different on them, and he's particular about what his nappies are!) ......Anyway, can give you a bargain chance at trying a pocket nappy if you're interested. I find they work best stuffed with a prefold - very absorbant and lasts a long time too.

ilovelovemydog · 14/01/2009 22:18

Lollipop Don't give up! I have 2 full time in nappies and when we were in North Wales for 3 weeks, we had to go with disposables. (Am still somewhat traumatized by experience of ramshackle cottage in middle of nowhere; 25 kittens suddenly went 'missing' -- it was a working farm, and had to explain the DD that they went on 'holiday' No washing machine...)

Anway, it was about £20.00 a week for both in disposables. Not cute and smelled sooooo bad. DS got a horrendous rash and had to see a doctor. DD also got excema...

Was so pleased to get home and DS/DD into their nappies (and to half finished kitchen, but that's another story....)

treedelivery · 14/01/2009 22:27

Lollipop - you'll be chuffed to bits in the summer when cute little legs are sticking out the bottom of your fav colour itti in a little t shirt and everyone is jealous of your bubs bum!!

Plus this washable malarky has got to be easier in summer. Yes? surely? Please say yes?

Did last load today ready for the arrivel.

swampster · 14/01/2009 22:27

My bumhuggers were very second hand - I have one new small one to try out in February when DS3 arrives. I find it hard to believe it will go from its current fluffy incarnation to stiff-as-a-board like my old ones, but I still really like the shape, fit and smell of them. It is just my fluffles that reek.

Aw, Ilovemydog, kittens on holiday .

swampster · 14/01/2009 22:29

Sounds like you're ready for your prostaglandin smoothie, tree

treedelivery · 14/01/2009 22:29

at holiday too. Not your dream family gettaway then. Suggest Mauritius next time with butler to wash nappies

treedelivery · 14/01/2009 22:31

Honestly, this was a mahooosive stretch and sweep the mw did. A proper hardcore one and everything. Not a bloody dickybird.

Maybe it's all just wind and will have to sell stash

ilovelovemydog · 14/01/2009 22:48

Guess you can't do own sweep

The success of a sweep, my midwife reliably told me, is how long the m/w fingers are

I have a Buddhist friend whose mantra appears to be, 'it will happen when it's ready to happen...'

For some reason, once I got a pedicure and bikini wax, I had the baby the next day...

Best of luck and will want to see baby Tree (sapling?) in Bambino Mio in profile!
