lollipopmother · 14/01/2009 22:49

And what's your bump then, just massive over-eating at Xmas?!

treedelivery · 14/01/2009 22:54

Over-eating and constipation. Deadly combination that leads to swollen ankles and piles.

Attacked all hairy places last night and had eyebrow and lash tint today [essential tree maintenance] so really there is noooooo excuse.

And I have Bambinos and Sandy xs here with no bum in them!! Sob.

Tried to get dd1 [age4] into a size 2 tots as night time nappy but she ran off and hid. May never night train that child.

LackaDAISYcal · 14/01/2009 23:05

lollipop, ikewym about too much choice. This time I have been using shaped terries and am happy to stick with them as they are doing the job.

tree, when is your sapling due to arrive?

Due Monday, been up everynight all night trying to labour but not kicking off properly. Pah!

Am loving 'the saplin' though - may name change after the arrival.

AnnVan · 15/01/2009 00:02

tree IK understand what it's like - seb was 17 days overdue!
I'm still in love with cloth. although I need to get organised as I think I may be missing some nappies.
Rachel - I have a couple of wonderoos - they leak within an hour, same for the slinki minki and the nature babies stuffable. maybe I'm doing something wrong. just not getting on with pockets, prefer two parts.

treedelivery · 15/01/2009 00:06

I agree to go to 17 days od as long as it's on Mauritius with a butler, and the sun to dry and whiten my nappies in readyness.

Who's with me?

rusmum · 15/01/2009 09:23

OMG!!!! at prices of ittis!! Do look fab though!

Rachel trhat would be great thanks would LOVE to try a wonderoo- so long as i dont get addicted to pockets and have to sell my whole stash and start again!!

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 15/01/2009 09:30

tree - me, me, me! looking out at the grey sky makes me even more depressed! but I'm just thinking at my 4 wks in italy this summer... meanwhile I have til 5th april to loose these last 6 kg !
hope you get little bum in nappies soon....

still loving cloth and can't wait for summer to arrive for pretty bum up in the air, but I really need to sell all the extra stuff... though yes, the chioce is still overwhelming and seem to fid s.thing new everyday I'd like to try...

emmab16 · 15/01/2009 10:03

Hi mums - sorry to jump in on your thread.... I have an 8 week old & have been using easy peasy bumbles on him (and tried some aplix baboozles too) thing is.. I was on antibitocs for mastitis and have given him diarrhoea. He still has it after a week & I have had to go back onto pampers as neither reusbale will contain the runny poo - any one got any ideas?
Am I doing it wrong - I'm using ultra liners with both, but then some poo always seeps out the sides!
thanks

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 15/01/2009 10:11

hi emma - have you tried fleece liners in the bamboozles? I find paper liners rubbish with bf poo, as it just runs everywhere, fleece liners seem to let the watery part through and hold on to the rest and keep bum dry. you don't need liners in the bumble as it's fleece lined (I think?), HTH

emmab16 · 15/01/2009 10:18

I haven't tried fleece ones although I was wondering it that might help. The bumbles leak both with & without the liner but not as badly as the bamboozles. Not sure if he is still too small for them both but with the nippas the bumbles seem to fit pretty well

thebluefoxategreensocks · 15/01/2009 10:45

rusmum: Would a lilac coloured Wonderoos do? In good condition, no stains. Without insert, but as I say, I prefer prefolds inside anyway (and I think u said you had millions!), tho you can put microfibre inserts/cloths instead if you like. You can have it for 3.50 including postage. If so, Paypal to [email protected] and I can post it out to you tomorrow!

emmab16: Is it leaking from the wraps as well, or just the nappy into the wrap? And what kind of wraps are you using?

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 15/01/2009 13:30

just ordered some new ittis before starting selling, couldn't resist....

anyone interested on EH hemp, lovables, sz0 wraps, wonderoos wonderworks, fluffles?

rusmum · 15/01/2009 13:38

LackaDAISYcal · 15/01/2009 13:44

afternoon all

emma, welcome to the thread.....all welcome so you're not jumping in

had a FB message from BBM

She says hello to those that know her and that she's fine, but has no telephone or internet connection where she is staying so can't get online very much. She had to move house suddenly after all her troubles/upheaval at the end of the year. Her H is not behaving terribly well (to be polite about it) and she is worried about him stalking her online. Her DCs are good as well, considering the upheaval that's gone on. Anyway, she says it's just RL keeping her away, nothing personal and she hopes to be back boring us all at some point.

If you're lurking BBM, I hope you are OK and that 2009 is a better year for you. We miss you on here

oops, baby duties call!

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 15/01/2009 13:45

£5.50 rec del for the lovables (I have 2 mf, sz 1, pink fleece, only used a few times!), £7 rec del for wonderoos (lilac, pale pink, lemon, hemp inserts).

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 15/01/2009 13:48

Tree Delivery Could you use a nursing bra? I have a Bravado Medium that you can have if it would be right size etc....

treedelivery · 15/01/2009 16:02

Oooooo I could indeed. Just logged on and eye's caught that offer straight away!!

Have big old bazookers, think I'm a medium/large in their backs and then just prachute size cups. What you got and how much?

Am making my own feeding vests from the clips of old bra's. Am feeling very resourceful and sensible. [smug smiley]

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 15/01/2009 16:10

tree share this feeding vest tip please!

treedelivery · 15/01/2009 16:21

So, you need the clips cut of old feeding bra's or vests, or bought clips. Just cut the straps of your vest or bra, and sew the clips on or loop through, and then use some ribbon or elastic to loosley join the strap to the vest for when your feeding [so the strap doesn't disappear down your back]. This is great for me as the G cup woman as those strap bits are never long enough and cut across my boob.
Its good also as I have bother with bra's and at least with this I can have some that make me look pert and not like have fed the nation

This site gives much better instructions than me! Got this info from mumsnet of course, and some lovely folk sent me old clips too! It's a nice place this forum.

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 15/01/2009 16:31

wow, might try the bra kit! for once I have breasts to show but can't because nursing bras I have are just victorian-like or ome up to my neck! got some nice bigger bras (unfortunately went from a nice pert C cup pre-DS to an empty A after bf), so at least I get to use them...
