nappyzone bugger. I thought they looked lovely - certainly the nicest looking of the wool wraps and wanted to give it a try. If they have gone bye bye, which would you reccomend for a wool wrap newbie?

AnnVan · 22/01/2009 19:07

Oops recommend even

Lollipop you will no doubt be THRILLED to know that the Bumhugger is winging its way by recorded delivery, as we speak.

nappyzonehasastroppytoddler · 22/01/2009 19:11

i would hunt one down tbh - someeon must have some in the size you want..... failing that i love my merino wool (really soft) shorties i got from pixie knits and have also had great success with a couche cover from puddlepant.... flame - bumfluff is a wooly expert as she loves 2 parters more than me.....

Yeah - I'm into two parters, For some reason every single pocket/AIO I've put on DS has leaked wee within an hour.

nappyzonehasastroppytoddler · 22/01/2009 19:17

Annvan that makes me - what pockets you got and what you stuffed em with?

AnnVan · 22/01/2009 19:38

I have a couple of wonderoos, a couple of Nature babies stuffables, and a slinki minki.

The wonderoos I've used with their own inserts, the others I have tried stuffing with Mother of Eden inserts, old prefolds, and even plain old mf cloths. All of them have leaked. I've heard good things about bumgenius, but I'm soooo unwilling to spend any more money on pockets given the experience I've had so far.

lollipopmother · 22/01/2009 19:57

Annvan Brill about the BH, thanks! I have to say that I really don't like Wonderoos, they were a bad fit (altho never actually leaked) and Sebastian is probably the same sort of weight as Elizabeth. Although they're a birth to potty I don't think they're for young babies. I've just got a new Upsy Daisy that is really nice but nothing satisfies me more than the Itti Bittis, I have completely moved away from 2 parters for the day.

AnnVan · 22/01/2009 20:02

I'm not sure what Seb weighs now - haven't had him weighed for a few weeks, but he did have very slow gain for a while because of being so ill. I think he's put on a bit now though, as his medium Airflows now fit round his legs.

So glad I've sent the hugger on. Am just ver that I've taken so long about it.

lollipopmother · 22/01/2009 20:05

Hey don't worry about it, I certainly haven't missed it!

AnnVan · 22/01/2009 20:12

hehe! no I haven't even been using it - it's been sitting on the table, clean but I just wasn't able to get out and post it off.

Um... we're running out of space again ladies.

thebluefoxategreensocks · 22/01/2009 20:23

lollipopmother: you get bottles of lanolin stuff especially for treating wool nappy covers/pants/longies etc. I can't remember what sort of prices it goes for - maybe 6 pounds or so? Probably varies, and some places sell stuff with fancy scents too! But assuming it must be a lot cheaper than using the other stuff! And it comes in large bottles too, and you only use a small amount. But most of what I know about wool is only from reading about it - I'm yet to experience it! My little boy has eczema and has to be well covered up to keep him from scratching (and secure from putting hands in nappy etc), so don't think the wool would suit him very well. But I've already got 2 Disana pull on wool pants for bump, so I'm excited at the idea of trying them in April!

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 22/01/2009 20:40

lollipop I got imse wool cure from kittykins when I ordered the disana pull on as the lasinoh was more expensive (though you only need a pea-sized amount for one soak - at least I read it s.where) but there are also other brands like medela PurLan which is cheaper. And apparently you can get pure lanolin from the chemist (though haven't tried that)

swampster · 22/01/2009 20:41

Ah! I have been asleep for a couple of hours and missed Nappyzone's visitation! Thanks for dropping by.

AnnVan - BumGenius and Itti Bitti D'Lish - the rest are pants! (Though I am desperate to try a pop-in and a blueberry.)

4andnotout · 22/01/2009 20:45

I prefer the bf to the pop ins for sure, im having issues putting the night booster in, it makes it huge

4andnotout · 22/01/2009 20:45

That should be bg not bf!

nappyzonehasastroppytoddler · 22/01/2009 20:49

Yoo hoo swampster! I always intend to join these threads but they are so long lol i get lost! I didnt have the love for wonderoos when my boy was little but from 12months on and more round 18 months they have really comeinto there own especially at night. My real love are Greenkids especially the minkytimes and bg are ace for nursery easiness. Im all for btp in the interests of economy but now my boy is a large i have replaced a few of mine with the luxuary of itti bitti dlish snap ins - i wasnt 100% about the snap in melarky but the love is growing and certainly slimness and cutey stroking ability you cant fault them! My boy asked for the toilet seat tonight which was a bit . I still reckon we will get early summer out of the fluff though

AnnVan · 22/01/2009 21:01

Oh yes, I looooove the fluff. I think I'll have to make sure to have another before Seb potty trains, just so that I don't have to give it up

Got so much stick from people for choosing cloth (before he was born) and now people always comment about the fact that my nappies never leak (smug )

Speaking of wich I really ought to put a nappy on my half naked boy.

swampster · 22/01/2009 21:05

Yoo hoo Nappyzone! ...

swampster · 22/01/2009 21:10

Minkytimes look nice! But how on earth are the BTP?

lollipopmother · 22/01/2009 21:11

I soooo just made a new thread! Over here ladies!

ceb80 · 22/01/2009 21:24

me too, Greenkids look good, hadn't heard of them before! More indecision!

swampster · 22/01/2009 23:04

Get with the programme, ceb

treedelivery · 24/01/2009 15:42

But will be back with tales of labour.
