Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
MatNanPlusTINSEL · 26/12/2008 00:55

Yes TY.

Quiet, hubby & i buying for each other next week.

Just opened family gifts

old Jamie book

a coffee pot, glasses and grounds - hmm i don't drink it and hubby has maybe 3 a month and we already have the set up!!

a book for him - a man who doesn't read for fun

2 pair of cotton, home knit, wellie/bed socks in mid blue and mustard

vouchers

marzipan sweets

So are you on nights off for a bit?

treedelivery · 26/12/2008 01:10

Hmmm..yes...mid blue and mustard wellie socks....wouldn't trade you my £60 hair salon voucher sorry!

Off till Sunday long day, then that's it! Can't quite believe it! 37 weeks on Monday, can't quite believe that either.

Saving packing 'the bag' as a reward for finishing work - need to decide if bringing washables into hospital or sticking her in disposables whilst in. Might bring a selection of the cutest most desirable - by way of advertising washables!

MatNanPlusTINSEL · 26/12/2008 13:04

Socks are ok, tho i can appreciate the voucher is better

I would stick to muslins or dispi's until the mec has passed, tho nothing stopping you putting pretty wraps on over a dispi!!!

Best displayed between long sleeved top and socks

Disposables until at least the 2nd - 3rd week!

Wouldn't bring reusables into hospital unless there are washing facilities?

Mat Nan is right - you don't want that tar stuff on your nappies! Impossible to get out (I've tried)...

treedelivery · 26/12/2008 15:27

Good tip!! Thanks - plus I'll look less like a crazy bag lady when I bring my luggage onto delivery suite. It was looking like full holiday with 10 children cos of the 2 day nappy supply!

MatNab - actualy I could just do with some big cuddly socks for labouring in!

MatNanPlusTINSEL · 26/12/2008 15:35

here

treedelivery · 26/12/2008 15:40

Thats such a good price! Thank you! Really remember in 1st labour having cold feet and soggy slippers from the waters. Oh the glamour of labour!

MatNanPlusTINSEL · 26/12/2008 16:08

they look good and you can avoid the shops

ilovelovemydog · 26/12/2008 17:52

cashmere socks

treedelivery · 26/12/2008 19:00

Ohhhh I could really fancy some cashmere socks. Sigh.

lollipopmother · 26/12/2008 21:03

Ilovemydog - Seriously at your coloured Sandy's, I bet they are SO much prettier than in the pictures, and they are very pretty in the ones I've seen!

Tree - 37w eh, you'll be popping so soon now. I def would say no to washables in the hosp, the miconium is so gross you'd never want that on your lovely Sandy's.

ilovelovemydog · 26/12/2008 21:10

They are seriously cute - the colored Sandy's Quite bold colors....

Love it that my mom wrapped them up and gave them to DS, rather than to me... Am going to be soooo sad when DS isn't a baby anymore. He's 10 months now and is starting to look like a little boy. A very cute boy, but I want my baby back!!!

Got this flu thing from DP - very draining. But got this lovely fleece electric blanket that goes over the whole mattress

treedelivery · 26/12/2008 21:58

Jelous of Sandy's. Hope you feel better soon Lovemy dog - it's a pig so get loads of rest so it doesn't get a hold of you.

Hi lollipop.

jinglebelles · 27/12/2008 12:29

hi

MatNanPlusTINSEL · 27/12/2008 12:41

ILMD do rest up as much as you can.

ChristmasFlower · 27/12/2008 14:44

Merry Xmas again, just a quick hello! Ilove - you should at least post a picture of the sandy's... oh, IWANT THEM

Debs75goldrings · 27/12/2008 16:18

Had xmas off from reusables as i had too much on to be washing and drying Sorry for letting side down but i have my punishment. Accidentally left 2 pooey nappies in the bin, have washed them but thety are still stained. As there is absolutely no sun whst is the best way of getting the stains out

ChristmasFlower · 27/12/2008 16:51

Debs - I did the same as I'd decided no washing on xmas and boxing day, so xmas day only used disp so not to have nappies in the bin for 3 days.

and yesterday we had our first wool wrap day! they're so cute, will have to get at least another thin/day one, well, if I find a cheap one as the woollywraps I like are sooo expensive.

(still thinkimg and lusting over coloured sandy's....)

MatNanPlusTINSEL · 27/12/2008 16:58

Debs soak in washing powder/vanish/napisan overnight and lingering stains should wash out ok, i use a long wash but little powder and it is more the bashing in the long wash than the powder that gets the stains out.

thebluefoxategreensocks · 27/12/2008 20:37

Just saying hi - been busy doing lots of dusting around the house the past couple of days - have neglected it for tooooo long! ...guess it doesn't feel such a high priority when you're big & preg! LOL But I've been having problems with breathing/wheezing in my chest, which I thought might have been some kind of chest infection. Though now I'm wondering if maybe I've actually got asthma. Got antibiotics & an inhaler from GP last week (since not sure what I had) and had 2 good days but been worse again, esp after clearing dust from under beds! So need to figure out where to go from here, though seems it's not a good idea to leave asthma alone when you're preg, as important for baby to get enough oxygen!

Anyway, hope everyone's had a good week! I'm just tired....

4CALLINGBIRDSandnotout · 27/12/2008 20:43

Hi Rachel hope your chest improves soon
Essie bank transfer was done on wednesday so should clear in yours on the 28th
I would love some coloured sandies, someone is selling some bargain sandies on ukpl but im brassic and cant afford the £20 unless i sell my solitary blueberry and bg aio

treedelivery · 27/12/2008 20:45

Hello people.

My last day at work tommorrow. Happy Christmas to me! Will be such a mental relief and a big hurdle over..

Clearly you are allergic to cleaning Rachel! Got dust bunnies size of footballs hanging around here! Sounds asthma like if dust trigger it I think?

thebluefoxategreensocks · 27/12/2008 22:32

Yay for you treedelivery!! Hope your last day is fab and you get a lovely rest before baby arrives.

MatNanPlusTINSEL · 27/12/2008 22:54

Have a good day tomorrow Trees.

Certainly sounds like dust asthma Rachel

treedelivery · 27/12/2008 23:00

Cleaning bad - gives you asthma! Research concluded, mop, bucket and hoover removed from premises.

Tightning now. Tut. Always when I eat.
