I seem to remember someone knew where to find small wet bags?
I only have a large wet bag that doesn't close very securely and I need a small one for a smaller 'nipping to town' bag, rather than my usual '...and the kitchen sink' changing bag.
Any suggestions?

ilovelovemydog · 28/12/2008 15:22

Tots Bots do them. But it's just a wet bag, so presumably a kids gym shop? (Don't have school age kids...)

treedelivery · 28/12/2008 22:31

I HAVE FINISHED WORK. WOOOOO HOOOoooooOOOOoooo Took a TENS to get me through the day, loads of tightnings and backaches but I did it and I am chuffed to bits.

No work for me till sometime later in my life.

Wetbags - I'm thinking of using the plastic re-sealable bags baby grows and vests etc come in, y'know when they are a 3 pack and have those plastic zip top things? Whadyathink?

when due tree???

treedelivery · 28/12/2008 22:57

3 weeks! packing THE BAG tomorrow - saved it as a treat for this great great day Am manic with joy.

All I ask is a week of dd1 being back at playschool, no work and a pedicure. 2 would be even better! oh and a job for DH

MatNanPlusTINSEL · 28/12/2008 23:16

WME when i am out i put a single clean nappy & liner into a ziplock sandwich bag, so the used nappy can go in after the change with a clean wrap in another bag incase it is needed.

Has worked so far but only done it for a day so 3 nappies/bags needed.

Well Done Trees small wishes on the whole then.

Glad the TENS got you thru the last shift.

treedelivery · 28/12/2008 23:24

Poor dd1, fancy getting my holidays and wishing hers over

An alternative would be a fairy of somesort to play with her here at home whilst bringing me cake. Made by fairy and dd, fully organic and containing no refined products except chocolate. As I ought to be doing when I'm mumsnetting and watching murder she wrote.

ChristmasFlower · 29/12/2008 00:58

tree - hope you got yourself a nice big choc cake to celebrate!! hope you'll have a nice rest now!!!

Hello all.

Nothing to report as such - except I have now officially unpacked the nappies and placed them in baskets ready to go! All I need now is somewhere sensible to put the baskets an a baby to put the nappies on.

Will havea tally up and you can all give me your opinion son if we have enough for a 2-3 day wash. Can't be arsed with nightly wash in all honesty!

treedelivery · 29/12/2008 21:10

Sort of news, though it's random. DH has been on 2 cycle rides with his friend and hasn't come back full of redundancy inadequate friend and father feelings. Bloody marvellous. mind you they did 60 fast miles today so I don't think he came back with much other than the shakes!

Bless the boy.

lollipopmother · 29/12/2008 21:56

Tree - Exercise is a brilliant way of staving off depression or nasty thoughts, it's very hard to come back from exercising in a bad mood I find.

Knickers - Hellooo! Has your LO's rash completely gone now since using the disposables?

Today my two Itti Bitti D'lish* came, they are sooo gorgeous! I think I prefer the Blueberrys I have for cuteness but even so, the Itti's are seriously lush. I think it's just because I prefer side-snap nappies, they just look so much tidier.

treedelivery · 29/12/2008 22:02

Oooo I have one in green. It's a thing of beauty. VERRRRRY . Blueberrys as well, thats just showing off.

Can't wait for summer when little squasher can sit about in a fab nappy and a t shirt.

I find it hard to come back form exercise feeling anything but red, hot, sweaty and in need of pint. But I'm not your natural athlete!!

4CALLINGBIRDSandnotout · 30/12/2008 08:19

Ohh i love the itti's too but they are so expensive and my dd3 is a real piddle pants so they only last an hours with her I like the blueberries but sold most of mine to fund xmas! Have a pink onesize which i think i will try to sell.

treedelivery · 30/12/2008 09:18

Ohhh I have a pink baby coming who needs a blueberry. We should talk. Am blooming skint but ooooooooo

dsrplus8 · 31/12/2008 14:48

hi sorry to butt in, but in new to cloth nappys, just got some yesterday, what do i need to go with them ? have tot bots and 1 wrap, to be used with my sn toddler( shes 3, but really small more like a 1yr old)help and suggestions would be very appreciated!

AlienSwampMonster · 31/12/2008 16:43

Welcome to the addictive world of fluff, dsrplus8! Sounds like you are off to a good start there. It is all very personal what nappies you like/love/hate.

For example, I like Tots Bots nappies (prefer Bamboozles and cotton to Fluffles, prefer Aplix fastening to popper), I've not tried a Flexitot. I like Motherease Sandy's, but I LOVE Baby Beehinds and Ella's House Bumhuggers. I HATE Motherease one-size birth to potty and Imse Vimse. And anything that you are supposed to fasten with a nippa.

I prefer Motherease Airflow wraps for day and a fleece Stacinator wrap for nights.

But best of all, I LOVE the new (to me since I last used cloth nappies) all-in-one and pocket-style nappies - I have a bunch of BumGenius one-size birth to potty and a couple of Itti Bitti D'Lishes. And I am desperate to get my paws on a Blueberry but they cost a BOMB.

If you haven't already got some, you could probably do with a few boosters for night time and times when the nappy needs to be on a bit longer than usual and some paper or fleece liners to catch poo.

ilovelovemydog · 31/12/2008 19:15

Dsr - are you up on all the terminology? Someone really should do a guide.

What sort of fastening is there on your tots bot? Velcro?

All you really need is a liner that goes between the baby (toddler) and the nappy. The idea being that you don't get poo all over, but is localized. Some people prefer paper liners; some prefer fleece. I would suggest that you try paper at first. (then you just flush the paper liner and any solids into the toilet).

Some people keep wet/soiled nappies in a bucket. It helps if you have a net liner in the bucket. I tend to wet pail which means water in bucket. I like either tea tree oil or patchouli oil...

thebluefoxategreensocks · 31/12/2008 20:13

dsrplus8: I think I saw on another thread that it is Fluffles you've got, right? These don't actually need a liner - unless you want to put a paper one on top so you can flush away solids. They're already fleece lined, so keep moisture away from little one's bottom. So really all you need to do is pre-wash them so you can use them! Nappies that are natural fibre (such as cotton & bamboo, hemp etc) need multiple washings first to make them absorbent. But since these are microfibre, you just need to wash them once since they're new.

BTW, with regard to the wrap, I know some people have got these packs and had problems with the wrap - so if you have any trouble with leaking, you might want to get a Motherease Airflow cover to go over the nappies. They fit very nicely over Tots Bots (and any other nappy for that matter! LOL) and really are the absolute best wrap you can find - I think all of us here would agree with that, right?! LOL There are pretty wraps if you like that sort of thing, but for reliability, nothing beats a ME Airflow....as I tell anyone who is new to cloth!

babyjjbaby · 31/12/2008 20:38

hiya has any1 got size small pocket nappys or all in ones cheap so i can try one
