GENERAL CHAT THREAD FOR CLOTH NAPPY USERS - PART 3

1000 replies

BigBadMouseInHauntedHouse · 30/10/2008 19:29

(Incredibly childish) BBM sneakily makes part 3 thread and places Sandy's flag at the top for a second time.

(Flag is made from organic cotton and has been dry pailed and washed at 40C)

I would still have sent them back after a year if they went bald as the idea of cloth nappies is to use them to potty training and for subsequent children, so if they did bald they are not fufilling the purpose they didn't ask how old mine were they just offered to replace no questions asked

AndHeaVanAnnNatureSing · 10/12/2008 08:30

Daisy I think it's the size2 Bamboozle that had a few issues afaik. I've never used them though

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 10/12/2008 09:23

ChristmasFlower · 10/12/2008 09:41

ANNVAN - what were the issues? I have a sz 2 popper and ok so far...

AndHeaVanAnnNatureSing · 10/12/2008 09:54

Flower - I'm not sure, but I remember some people on here moaning about them. I think they changed them though - I think they only used to come in nippa fastening, so maybe that's where the prolems were?

ChristmasFlower · 10/12/2008 10:50

Just tried the fluffle again on dd... and it seems to fit fine now that she's grown into her thighs ... think I might keep them for night (I like the bumhugger, but the smell is quite unbearable....)

off to 2nd jabs now

AndHeaVanAnnNatureSing · 10/12/2008 11:32

Flower I think I might just stick with Fluffles for a night nappy. DP doesn't likethe bumhuggers at all. He doesn't like the fact that the colours are on the inside, and he doesn't like the array of poppers. He does love te Fluffles though. Not sure really, as the FLuffle works well with a MF cloth in at night.

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 10/12/2008 11:40

DS2 was in a diddy diaper for nearly six hours yesterday, and although it had leaked, it wasn't too bad; I was quite impressed.

In case anyone thinks I'm neglecting him ; he had been up all night the night before and I was loathe to wake him up.

lollipopmother · 10/12/2008 17:49

Up2myknees - Email me on lorwiggins at yahoo dot co dot uk and we'll sort out payment, yes only three i'm afraid.

MatNanPlusTINSEL · 10/12/2008 21:12

Hi Peeps.

Lollipop are any of the nappys in your link previously available?

BabyJJ i am guessing they are still leaking colour? Have you thought of putting them thru a dye removal soak?

Daisy have put an order in for 2 of both sizes TY - just to be nosy as current baby in my care is a chunky 8kgs and is in a wide range of sizes of wraps currently.

Hope BBMousey is dealing with life, missed that

Hi Ru and AV

As to nappy buying, i have had some ishoos as they say with the colour and smell of some i have bought, ho hum, not that baby cares on the colour and the smell went after several washes.

MatNanPlusTINSEL · 10/12/2008 21:15

Hi ILMD Up2 4&NO Essie Rachel Swapster and CF

ilovemydog · 10/12/2008 21:23

And wonders who will start new thread as BBM is playing hookey....

MatNanPlusTINSEL · 10/12/2008 21:34

do think you get the honour ILMD

I have stopped wet pailing now we are on solids and have good poop and with using 2 paper liners, 1 of which is doubled the stains i now get come out in a 2hr wash, i do rinse them all in the sink first so they are damp pailed

ilovemydog · 10/12/2008 21:40

No, am strictly a behind the scenes sort of person

Desperately want to get back to my wet pail and a few drops of patchouli (am doing a trial that stated no additives!). Was getting a bit bored of tea tree drops in pail, and patchouli is just so hippy !!

MatNanPlusTINSEL · 10/12/2008 21:46

It has taken my a bit to give up the wet pailing but with her on solids it was not neccessary anymore so the Napisan is by and large sitting unused and unloved

maybe one of the others, i will keep an eye on it incase it is forgotten

lollipopmother · 11/12/2008 07:46

MatNan - I still have:
All the boosters
2 x Pink cotton Tots Bots
1 x Fluffle that is now stained due to being worn once in its lifetime (I didn't actually intend my DD to wear it, I just wanted to see if it fitted and she weed in it before I could get it off her, and then followed up with a poo shortly afterwards, the darling !)
5 x Kushies
2 x Kiwi, although these may be going out on loan to BBM, but I have a feeling probably not.

I also have some Swaddlebees hemp inserts that are sort of hourglass shaped on one side but each end is sewn to a thinner strip so that it opens out into a circle for drying - I've not explained it very well but I think they're just regular Swaddlebees inserts.

Oh, and for the right price I have some Ella's House Bumhuggers, been used for about 2 months (if that) in rotation, new-style, 3 were brand new , all size 1.

babyjjbaby · 11/12/2008 08:55

lolipop how much do u want for the boosters what sort and how much for a bumhugger

thebluefoxategreensocks · 11/12/2008 09:49

Anyone looking for pocket nappies? I have a large Happy Heiny pocket, has a lovely green/aqua batik print with turtles on it. Really lovely print & suitable for boy or girl. Anyone interested? It's hardly been used (few times from previous owner & a couple times by us, but not suiting Benjamin's shape), so looking for a new home.

MatNanPlusTINSEL · 11/12/2008 13:30

Lollipop in regard to TotsBots and Bee Print Nappy

&

Rachel the HH - what weight range?
