(Incredibly childish) BBM sneakily makes part 3 thread and places Sandy's flag at the top for a second time.

(Flag is made from organic cotton and has been dry pailed and washed at 40C)

4andout - it's [[http://www.babykind.co.uk/realeasynappies.htm this], really liking it

lollipopmother · 05/12/2008 18:05

I wish that the Wonderoos weren't so baggy, I totally love them but they're so messy on DD. The Pop-Ins on the other hand are so tidy they're great, but I HATE the fact that they aren't fleece lined.

I don't know why i did it but I got 8 EH Hemp, they're absorbent and super slim (why I got sucked in to them) but I just hate the fit, well actually they just don't fit at all and every time DD poos I regret ever setting eyes on them. . Why oh WHY do nappy makers make them with combined leg/tum poppers, it is my pet hate.

4CALLINGBIRDSandnotout · 05/12/2008 22:10

Oh they look good flower, wonder if they will do any offers on them

this

4CALLINGBIRDSandnotout · 06/12/2008 12:59

I used hh and drybees i always had problems with leaky legs as the fleece inner always managed to find a way to wick out

thebluefoxategreensocks · 06/12/2008 14:43

lollipopmother: Is it the new Wonderoos from HipHip Baby you have problems with? I recently got a brand new one and I must say the shape seems very odd - however, older ones (that just say Wonderoos, or even some Wonderworks) and they seem to have a much higher rise and fit a lot better.

rusmum: I recently got 2 Happy Heinys (haven't tried the 2nd one yet) but the first one I got, with cotton sort of print outer, and it seems to wick a lot of moisture out of the nappy. Must say, this happens to me with just about all pockets, but Wonderoos and Fuzzibunz seem so much more reliable than a lot of the other pockets out there - but nothing is as secure as a shaped nappy like Tots and a ME wrap. But having said that, I've got Benjamin (nearly 21 months) in pockets all the time now - much easier to put on him before he runs away. But think I'd always stick to shaped nappies & ME wraps for smaller babies.

Anyone want a new nappy to put on their wish list (or maybe it's only me that likes the look/sound of it!)?
www.babeerockz.com/item_220/Bum-Genius-Bamboo-Fitted.htm

Sounds ideal with combination of bamboo & microfibre core to help with drying times. And looks soft & flexible too. Seems a shop in the UK just released them yesterday:

I want one! LOL

rusmum · 06/12/2008 16:09

bsmboo not doing it for me! only got bamboozle to go on though- not keen!!!!

Going off sandys too - smelly . TEDDIES my favourite amm van how many you got??

4CALLINGBIRDSandnotout · 06/12/2008 18:53

rusmum
Ohh i love bamboo nappies i have flexi tots, bamboozles and bambineo. Are you still selling your small sandies, i catted you about them.
Rachel that looks lovely and soft!

AndHeaVanAnnNatureSing · 07/12/2008 16:24

rusmum I have 10 Teddies in size one. Have a slight problem though, in that the leg elastic seems to be going in a few of them. A couple of them now look like size two nappies, and some have gone on one side but not the other, making them all wonky and hard to put on right. Luckily spoke to the nappy agent and she says Babykind will replace them for me, so will be sending the faulty ones back and getting spanking new replacements
I'm liking the sandy's so far. Mine aren't smelling at all but that might be because I use bio powder to wash them

4CALLINGBIRDSandnotout · 07/12/2008 16:45

I use persil biological as it is the only detergent that doesn't affect dd2's skin, since we have been using it her eczema has completely gone

wenceslasmyeducation · 07/12/2008 21:07

Lots of staining on my nappies at the moment, but I am ignoring it! I can't wait for the sunshine!
I didn't use liners before as the paper liners just seemed to spread the bf poo around, but now DS eats food, and I keep forgetting to put the liner in.
This is my (wastingmyeducation) christmas name, I don't know if it's good or not, but I can't think of anything better.

lollipopmother · 08/12/2008 09:20

I am so so MAD! . I have had so much bad luck with buying nappies 2nd hand, people just out and out lie to me about the condition of their nappies, or I pay them and they take weeks to send them without so much as an email, or I pay for something and they don't send it all or in some cases they don't send for nearly 2 months, don't bother to email until I send them one chasing it up, and then the item gets 'lost in the post' and they won't refund me. For some reason I thought that people selling nappies would be nicer people than that.

AndHeaVanAnnNatureSing · 08/12/2008 09:42

Oh Lollipo for you. Maybe DP is right about buyng 2nd hand nappies (although not for the reason he thinks) What has not arrived this time?

ChristmasFlower · 08/12/2008 10:12

lollipop i chased my woderworks wonderoos for weeks, and then... well you know how I feel about them.... especially for what I paid for them!! but as I've got all those pop-ins, I'll only need a few sz 2 and so will probably get new ones...

up2myknees · 08/12/2008 11:12

poor lollipop!! i know wheat you mean. mu idea of GUC and others dont always match!!

Got any kooshies AIO left lolli??

4CALLINGBIRDSandnotout · 08/12/2008 11:28

lolipopWas it a seller from here?(mumsnet i mean not this thread!) I have bought nearly all my nappies 2nd hand and have had a few duff buys but luckilly on the whole they have been good.
I tried dd4 in a bg v2 last night, we have quite a few for dd3 and i think i shall start using them in the nappy bag as they wern't gappy around the leg which i was suprised about, she didnt poo though so not sure aout containment of bf poo
Looking forward to the new year to buy some more nappies, bloody xmas presents have had to curb my nappy spending

lollipopmother · 08/12/2008 12:44

Up2myknees - I have no idea what the Kooshies I have are called but I had a look round and think they're the Kooshies Classics, are these what you're looking for? These are mine I have them still for sale if you'd like them.

AnnVan - Don't get me wrong, some items that i've bought have been brilliant, but because everything is 2nd hand and doing deals over email etc rather than through a regulated site it means you've got no come-back if something goes wrong, and I think people know that and make no effort at all.

Flower - I would've been seriously gutted about that too, some people really do take the piss. I am still totally undecided about the Wonderoos, I've used them as night nappies for the last three nights and they've been perfect, but they're just so bulky.

Rachel - Yes I think they're the newest Hip Hip's, they're ever so wide between the legs I think, but then so are the inserts, they're massive! I have some 2nd hand ones that I think the leg elastic isn't quite as tight as brand new ones too. Oh I don't know, I really like them but they're just ... not quite right somehow! I think I should keep them until she's bigger though, she's not even 3 months yet so they are bound to look quite big.

up2myknees · 08/12/2008 12:49

how much lollipop???

up2myknees · 08/12/2008 12:49

how much lollipop???

lollipopmother · 08/12/2008 12:49

4callingbirds - I've had some slight irritations from here but only very very minor, the one that took 2 months then it got lost and no refund was from UKPL. I bought a wetbag that I specifically asked if it was still waterproof and she said yes, I put my DDs swim costume in it the other day and the bag was dripping. It just irks me because I wouldn't have the balls to sell something that I didn't believe was fully functional without telling the buyer first.

lollipopmother · 08/12/2008 13:00

Up2myknees - Well this is what I wrote on my advert on another site:

3 x Kooshies Classic - 1 clowns (faded), 1 bears, 1 light
blue/turquoise. Made of brushed flannelette with waterproof core
sandwiched between the layers, also has flanelette tongue. Infant size
(10-22lb). Very well used but no stains - £1 each. Postage will be extra and sent recorded.

So if you're still interested and you're sure they are what you think they are then please email me on lorwiggins at yahoo dot co dot uk .

4CALLINGBIRDSandnotout · 08/12/2008 13:04

I had a swap where the nappy i recieved was no where near as good condition as the one i sent which peeved me a bit. What was worse though was when i sent a nappy ffp to someone and a week or so later she was ring to sell it for quite a bit Some people have no scruples

up2myknees · 08/12/2008 13:13

LOL 4andnotout was that someone on here??? How rude!!
