mufti I was still 43 for 2 months

debz my teens were very but the GPs were chuffed. Mosy people assume it's a new DH and are amazed when I say all 5 have the same 2 parents.

hellymelly · 02/09/2008 21:36

I'm 44 with a three year old and a 15 month old.West Wales though,not Devon.

hazeyjane · 03/09/2008 08:28

I've got 2 girls, debz (pics on my profile, including one of me hiding huge bags under eyes behind sunglasses)

Mufti, I live in Marlborough. Whereabouts are you?

Do any of you mention wanting more in real life, because whenever I do, people just look at me as though i am insane!

mufti · 03/09/2008 08:39

im in devizes.. hazeyjane, and would love more.
but prob not, actually dont like people asking, never know what to say

debzmb62 · 03/09/2008 10:50

I'm the oldest person on mumsnet - I've checked it out before!

mrsmummy · 03/09/2008 11:28

Hi, I am 43 with an 8 year old and and 5 year old and live in the north west, and there won't be anymore!

arabicabean · 03/09/2008 13:06

I must be one of the most antiquated first time mums around. I am 45 with a seven month old baby. Hard work at first, but tremendous fun now. Also, a challenge to get back into shape.

goldndiamonds · 03/09/2008 13:39

I'm 49 with a 5 year old. So Arabicabean, 45 with a 7-month old! Well, you beat me and Acinonyx in the first-time mum stakes! (I know of someone who was a 47 year old first-time mum all naturally conceived and normal, Guiness Book of Records stuff that!)

Acinonyx · 03/09/2008 13:50

Yup, irl my first-time mummy friends are all at least 10 years younger than me.

Arabicabean and goldndiamonds, did/do you have a lot of child-free friends from having been a late starter and how are those friendships bearing up? I just had one of my oldest (child-free) friends to visit and it seemed as though she was 46 going on 96 and full of victorian-style 'advice' on my parenting.

I'm hoping dd will keep me young

janx · 03/09/2008 14:04

hi
I have just turned 43 with a 4 year old and a 9 month old - Live in london - lots of fabby older mums luckily

Kewcumber · 03/09/2008 14:05

HIJACK - don't suppose you fancy a trip to Woking for lunch this Sunday do you?

Kewcumber · 03/09/2008 14:06

thast should say SPICEMONSTER!

being 43 with a 2 year old things to your brain...

Elibean · 03/09/2008 14:29

Ah, that would be me (apart from the Devon/Cornwall bit).

48 with a nearly 5 and a nearly 2 year old.

Now you can all either faint, or sit back and feel young again

Kewcumber · 03/09/2008 15:04

ooh a fellow "old" sw londoner - are you a proper londoner Eli or a suburbanite like me?
