I am 42 with a son age 15 and twin boys aged nearly 6. We wanted a second child for some years and had just about given up when I had identical twin boys!!

FiveGoMadInDorset · 12/09/2008 22:13

38, Dorset, dd 2.5 and 12 week old DS and haven't finished yet (hopefully)

solo · 12/09/2008 22:21
  1. Ds 10.1 and Dd 20 months. Knackered! just knackered!!
Eaglebird · 12/09/2008 22:32

I'm 39 with a 10 month old DS. Some days I only feel 19, and some days I feel 89

Elibean · 12/09/2008 22:48

On the subject of age:

dd1 asked today if her godmother was going to be 160 (she's going to be 60). I told her no one in the world is 160, AFAIK.

She said, very calmly and with great authority, 'but I will be, one day'.

Wouldn't surprise me a bit, given her line of antique relatives

Happy birthday debz!

squilly · 13/09/2008 12:58

I'm 43. Have one child, dd aged 7 (nearly 8). Love being a mum, wish I'd started earlier, but 3 mcs over 6 years meant that didn't happen. I'm SO glad to be an old mum and dd tells me I'm not old anyway....

BoysAreLikeDogs · 13/09/2008 13:06

I shall be 42 v soon

2 boys - 8 and 6

SW/Welsh border

debzmb62 · 13/09/2008 16:07

I'm 42 with a 2 year old DS, living in the Bristol area. Would love a second one but trying to face up to reality now. DS was a surprise, conceived after an ectopic, 3 years of tryng, giving up and starting down the adoption route .

FranSanDisco · 13/09/2008 16:45

I'm 42 with a dd of almost 8 yo and a ds of almost 6 yo (both October born). Don't feel old and would have loved another dc but it didn't happen .

oh I love this thread.

Am 41 with ds nearly 5 - we are south east coastal. I thought we were being a bit too hopeful to think we might pop another but clearly not!

That said I have a 52 yr old friend with a 5 yr old (natural) and another who had twins at 49 and another at 51 (assisted I think). Lovely.

debzmb62 · 09/11/2008 19:28

minkybetty · 09/11/2008 21:04

1dilemma I know you said old wasn't a mum in 30s but am 39(and a bit and DH is 49 so that kinda counts?) and I certainly feel old as my DD is nearly 2 - wish I had done this earlier as am exhausted (AND I only have one but I do work!)
Catweazle - how have you managed to look after 5 DCs.. without out going crazy? I am truly impressed!

extremelychocolateymilkroll · 12/12/2008 23:58
