Having read this thread from start to finish, I think I am ready to start tomorrow. Have pants, potty (need to use potty for now), bribes (ooops treats). Just need a wise, patient one to come and do it for me!

Keep fingers crossed that it all works for me.

FlossALump · 06/07/2007 09:10

Can i please join? DS is about 32 months. Baby due sept and I'd like to only have one nappy bill! In total I think we have had about 3 wees in potty and one fart on a loo in the eden project. Just so happens I had a sweet buying fest yesterday and always have chocolate in the house so we're prepared. Have told DS he can have some chocolate if he wees on the potty. He likes the sound of this, although sat on the potty, didn't produce and said 'there you go'. He has also tried to empty the contents of his beaker and tea set into potty to convince me he is worthy of chocolate. Am I going to have problems?!

He currently goes to CM's and has had a couple of success's there and is going to start nursery next month. Hello IGW - I'm not stalking you I promise!

IntergalacticWalrus · 06/07/2007 09:14

Greetings floss!!!

We can suport one another and we can say to the boys Floss's/IGW's DS wees on the potty (even if they don't!)

I bypassing the potty and usingh the loo. DS's potty is generally used as a hat/bowl for his raisins [boak]

IntergalacticWalrus · 06/07/2007 09:18

Also, all the walking up and down stairs is doing wonders for my thunder thighs

IntergalacticWalrus · 06/07/2007 09:34

DS just had massive tantrum about go9ng to the loo.

I know he needs a wee because he keeps wrapping his t shirt over his willy, but hje's holding it in.

Please tell me not to give up. Tell me I can do it (desperate)

Mercy · 06/07/2007 09:41

IG - try cod's point 8.

You can do it!

IntergalacticWalrus · 06/07/2007 09:48

god I need a gin

IntergalacticWalrus · 06/07/2007 09:50

H ewon;t go to the loo [

FFS! I want to give up

lulumamasmentee · 06/07/2007 10:05

can you try sitting him on the loo with a good book and running the taps

IntergalacticWalrus · 06/07/2007 10:39

He's being a royal PITA this morning.

He's refusing to sit on the potty/loo. He keeps throwing himself off, and he hans't done a wee since 6 30 am

LoveMyGirls · 06/07/2007 11:00

What about the sweets? dont give up now!!

IntergalacticWalrus · 06/07/2007 11:16

Sill no wee

Oh god, I can't do this, I haven't got the patience

FlossALump · 06/07/2007 11:23

One wet pair of trousers. No wee on potty. One huge tantrum over getting on potty. Moderate success at getting him to remain there for more than .5 of a second. Much interest in reward chart. Promises of chocolate didn't seem to be working and last time I gave him a little chocolate for just agreeing to sit on the bloomin thing. Not quite sure I'm a very good student...

Good idea about that though IGW - although he saw his cousin do it yesterday on the potty, and how praised he got for that. Made a big point of it to DS. He couldn't really give a toss!!

IntergalacticWalrus · 06/07/2007 11:25

Much stregthened by the fact that only 8 kiles down the road you are going theorugh the same thing.

I won;t give up, but I am am loking longingly at a opile of freshly washed nappies that would contain withing all the wee that he's not doing .
