Ah, have read thread now and cack in pants is a commn theme.

LIking the sylvanian rabbit idea - 'for when you've cracked it, dd2'.

dd2 doing well except wees in pushchair

I cannot stay in alone it will kill me

besides you have to get them home from the blardy nursery

and she sleeps in the afternoon and then I have to wake her to get dd1 from school and then she wees in the car

oh fgs I can wait, dd1 didn't train till she was 4. I have big nappies.

fedupwasherwoman · 05/07/2007 15:04

Right, I need serious advice, oh great guru of the potty/pants and toilet (is that enough flattery to get me some serious advice ?)

ds is a graduate of last summer's potty training thread and it took us about 8 weeks to crack it but we persisted, trained ourselves to remember to take him to the loo regularly, never went back to nappies at any time etc etc.

For the last TWO MONTHS he has been putting off going to the loo, ignoring the obvious urge to go (he wriggles or jiggles or clutches his willy) and wetting himself once a day or more.

We've talked about it and had "new starts" and "try again today" pep talks ad infinitum but nothing seems to work. My dh spoils him so ds isn't really motivated by the promise of any particular treat if he stays dry and only once or twice has he managed it in the past 2 months.

There doesn't seem to be any "toiletphobia" as such but he just won't leave off from whatever he is doing to take himself to the loo or he denies needing the loo only to wet himself shortly afterwards.

He starts school in September and I'm getting very anxious over the whole thing.

Any suggestions for a "postgraduate" toilet training method of any type ?

yes but you are poo fascist

they will all need therapy later and will pay prostitutes to dress them up in big nappies

fedupwasherwoman · 05/07/2007 15:09

ds doesn't like sweets, we've tried chocolate and crisps and ice cream, all of which he does like, but the motivational factor just isn't there. I've made and abandeoned 2 reward charts in the last 8 weeks .

would it be cruel to tell him we can't go to the beach again until he is dry all day every day ? He really likes going to the beach and we are planning to go for a week sometime soon.

Right, we have had a bit of a breakthrough here.

No wees in the loo (as yet) but he came up to me a few mins to say he needed a poo, so cue panic stations.

Turns out he on;y needed to fart, but he's got the right idea.

Just need to wjip DP's arse into shap later, because he'll fuck it all up itehrwise

Mercy · 05/07/2007 15:25

MamaG - don't worry, my ds was 3 in February!

Right, have bought sweets and am awaiting poo request.

naughtynoonoo · 05/07/2007 17:36

Another ds was 3 in Feb . Was waiting for the good weather to come, but am still waiting, think I will try this bootcamp.

Dogsby · 05/07/2007 18:55

right oyu tossers
whats the lastest wee count

NB most accidents occure between 6 and 7

Mercy · 05/07/2007 19:02

Between 6 and 7? Why is that?

Ahem; forgot to inform dh of new regime . He is therefore about to change ds' nappy (hehe!)

Sweet is still therefore hiding in the cupboard.

EarlSinclair · 05/07/2007 19:03

cos they is itred you is tired adn it all goes wrong
fgs to dh
tlel him- nob

lulumamasmentee · 05/07/2007 20:42

6 pairs of wet knickers here, although the last pair she started weeing and then ran for the potty and finished on there so some progress maybe?

do you still give sweet even if they just sit on the potty and don't do anything?

knickers in the washing machine ready for round 2 tomorrow

Cappuccino · 05/07/2007 20:44

god I can't keep up with this thread

so many different wees and cod constantly changing her name

EarlSinclair · 05/07/2007 21:26

i think runiing for potty is VERY good

Belgianchox · 05/07/2007 22:02

Can i join you? DD (2.4) has mastered wees in the potty this last week, and 1 poo, but most poos still end up in nappy at nap time. So my question is do i remove nappies for nap time too? I don't know whether she genuinely only feels like pooing at this time or if she consciously waits for it as she knows she will have a nappy on..... Any thoughts greatly appreciated!
