I have recently toilet trained ds but he absolutely refuses to poo in the toilet - I have to put an nappy on him.

Any tips?

mcnoodle · 05/07/2007 10:31

Could start tomorrow - four days before back at nursery and nothing to do this weekend.

Will get equipment, perfect whooping and bribing techniques, put ride on toy in shed and encourage manly al fresco weeing thing (he can't whistle yet though - isn't that integral to weeing up a tree?)

dd2 has been dry for 4 montsh - since day 1 not a single wee wee accident. has also been dry at night ofr a month. BUT SHE WONT DO POO IN TOILET she does it in her pants

"mummy mummy poo is coming out"
grunt
cry
big boulder in pants

DD starts going to preschool on Mondays in a couple of weeks and I am pinning my hopes on that as well as they take them all to the loo every hour whether they're still in nappies or not.

maybe she'll get it when she sees other children doing it

nailpolish · 05/07/2007 10:37

ok what do yuo do when your kid is dry and clean all day fine at home as long as he has nothing on his bottom half but wees if he is put in pants or trousres?

Also wont co operate with potty training at playschool and point blank refuses to go on the potty while there?

ConnorTraceptive · 05/07/2007 10:52

right that's it we're starting this afternoon too. No more "well he does poo's on the toilet so that's a good enough start"

Going to tesco for pants, sweets that will put ds's eyes out on stalks and big bar of chocolate for me
