He won't stop crying unless he's being held by me, preferably sleeping on one exposed boob, although at a push I can reclothe.

He is declining tuneless songs and cuddles from his siblings, and putting him down got me into a lot of trouble. Who needs words to shout?!

I can't find his warranty, and am not sure I could face returning him, collection was bad enough.

Any suggestions?

I believe they are solar powered with enough charge to last on full power through the night without the need to plug in. Although sometimes the system does require an alternative fuel source. Is yours a hybrid?

Lweji · 31/05/2016 07:55

I think the reserve battery on mine has gone flat. But spares are too expensive.
Waiting till I can use the caf.fei.NE add on.

April my 1990 model grinds to a halt if not watched constantly. He thinks that as long his operator takes control he doesn't have to. Hmm

Cody my first 3 models were all early, the most recent was 2 weeks late. The delivery company should sort themselves out. Hmm

FuckingFattyBitch · 31/05/2016 08:28

All of mine were delivered late. 3 days, 1 day and 10 days late!

MrsMillions · 31/05/2016 08:35

Thought we'd successfully installed the waste disposal app on our 2013 model, but had a few glitches on Sunday. Yesterday was better so don't think she's uninstalled it. She has however uninstalled Naps. Sleep mode is now functioning much better at bedtime.

2015 model has taken well to her refuelling expansion pack (Weaning 2.0), and is very active thanks to Crawling (Commando version, Hands & Knees seems to be incompatible with our wooden floor), but is still not fully engaging Sleep mode overnight. Frustrating when she used to do it, back in the days when Cluster Feeding was in operation.

Shocking service, Fatty! Shock

Willow2016 · 31/05/2016 08:49

It seems some of the older models are completely without a sense of humour patch!

Wonder what they think a parenting website is about?

My 2002 model seems to have rebooted its 'sociability' programme. Had a lovely day with it yesterday out visiting and shopping. Was amazed the 'grunt and ignore people' patch never kicked in, do you think its been deleted by accident?

FuckingFattyBitch · 31/05/2016 08:51

It is indeed.
My 2015 model seems to be attempting to download the walking app. Confused

BathshebaDarkstone · 31/05/2016 08:51

Willow lets hope so!

Willow2016 · 31/05/2016 08:52

Bath
Mine does the same, can malfunction if left with specific instructions which it is capable of doing i.e. putting softwear away and ends up reverting to standby mode or sitting on its bed attatched to another device downloading info. Smile Very frustrating considering how much I have spent on this particular model since 2002.

BathshebaDarkstone · 31/05/2016 08:53

Fatty surely that's a good thing? Confused

FuckingFattyBitch · 31/05/2016 08:57

It would be if the 2013 model wasn't as demonic. Grin There's 19 months between them and the arguing has started already. Usually over which of them gets to attack the 2008 model.

BathshebaDarkstone · 31/05/2016 08:59

Willow yes my oldest model doesn't seem to have the "exercise" app or the "self medication" app, without which he could malfunction or break down completely. The 1945 DGran model seems to have to be constantly connected to him. I think he should be running automatically by now. Hmm

BathshebaDarkstone · 31/05/2016 09:02

Ah yes Fatty my 2007 and 2011 models attack each other constantly. Does anyone know how to stop this? Is there a troubleshooting guide?

HSMMaCM · 31/05/2016 09:05

My 1999 model has a faulty clock. It's awake in the night and sleep mode in the morning. iPhones seem to have an app which sends them into grunt mode.

Morifarty · 31/05/2016 09:16

I can suggest the Furby trick of holding it upside down, sticking your finger in its mouth and pulling its tail until it resets.

Willow2016 · 31/05/2016 09:28

HSMM they didnt fix the faulty clock by 2002 thats for sure.
Mine is the same, cannot seem to reboot in the mornings nor power down before 11/12 pm. Thought of using electric input from mains to 'jump start' it into action in mornings, will this fry its circuits?

BathshebaDarkstone · 31/05/2016 09:41

Morifarty was that for the faulty clock or being stuck in "attack" mode?

RuskBaby · 31/05/2016 10:00

Ladies this thread is fabulous - thank you!
My 2016 model won't arrive until much later this year so getting a heads up on what to expect Smile

Thatrabbittrickedme · 31/05/2016 10:18

I'm recognising so many glitches here that we've experienced as well - it's great to have a place where we can swap ideas for patches and fixes isn't it Wink

My models (2008 and 2011) interact pretty well most of the time, but the loose eyeballs malfunction possibly triggered by accidental installation of the know it all app in the 2008 version is definitely becoming a repeat malfunction.

The 2008 model is really on the blink at the moment and has been all weekend - issues with too frequent waste disposal occurrence and overheating as well. Taking it in for a diagnosis and service a bit later.

BoobeeAndMe · 31/05/2016 11:04

My 1980 model was quite the crier, but I didn´t have the know-how that I had for my 1986 model which was a very calm baby, until he started getting out of the crib by himself; all HELL broke loose at that point!
My 1980 model now has a 2012 model that was a MAJOR crier for years, but especially in the infancy phase, and is now going into CALM mode & can actually go into SLEEP mode without 1 hour of motherboard coaxing! It can be extremely draining!

Theladygardenofeden · 31/05/2016 11:08

My late 2015 version seemed to have an over active sleep mode from as soon as it was delivered. As a first time user I was worried that my unit was faulty in some way. Especially as all the online reviews said that sleep mode was practically non-existent.

Now 6 months in, I seem to be experiencing problems with the dental add-ons. Every sign of them downloading is there but they still haven't appeared. It's causing my unit some distress and makes everything around it damp.

paddypants13 · 31/05/2016 11:22

I have only gone and fallen for one of those scam phone calls! They have now installed some malware called chicken pox in my 2013 model. Sad

I'm hoping the 2015 model isn't affected too.
