He won't stop crying unless he's being held by me, preferably sleeping on one exposed boob, although at a push I can reclothe.

He is declining tuneless songs and cuddles from his siblings, and putting him down got me into a lot of trouble. Who needs words to shout?!

I can't find his warranty, and am not sure I could face returning him, collection was bad enough.

Any suggestions?

Mine switches off pretty easily (usually), but then weirdly flicks back on at regular intervals throughout the night, and my husband hasn't figured out the knack to the gammy off switch, so it has to be me that gets up to turn it off again.

Tonight, however, the of switch seems to be missing, and this 2015 model is staring with eyes wide open in creepy doll fashion. Should be easy enough to get the glitchy eyes replaced with those ones that close when in a horizontal position though, yes?

knittingbee · 26/05/2016 20:14

Twistedheartache, my 2014 model is currently doing exactly the same thing. They must develop a timer issue about 2 years in, dammit.

My 2011 version has a severe listening issue, it only seems to respond when there's some kind of treat on offer.

Twistedheartache · 26/05/2016 20:48

Interesting - my 2011 model responds better to removal of treats than the offering of them knittingbee.
Fortunately however after the 3 years of constant resetting required all night the 2011 model now sleeps 8-6 & has finally stopped wetting the bed at night

Anyone else's 2016M have a twitch when it's plugged into the recharging station? Anything else interesting in the vicinity, such as the presence of Daddy, causes a violent twist while still remaining plugged in. This makes for a rather painful user experience Confused

Hawkmoth · 26/05/2016 20:54

I'm too fucking tired to post in the style of the thread, but how can they tell when nipple is away? I hate sitting here with one tit poking out while he snores but then as soon as I tuck it away he starts scriking.

loosechange · 26/05/2016 20:59

Yup. My right nipple especially agrees with you.

My 2014 model has a waste ejection glitch that kicks in only when she is tucked in to bed. It's preceded by some sort of alarm that sounds the phrase "make poo", followed by grunting.

Manufacturer said she's just out of warranty and have offered a programme so the waste can be ejected more efficiently into a container.

I have some concerns about this.

SchnitzelvonKrummsverylowtum · 26/05/2016 21:14

My 2014 edition is also faulty - he's finally asleep after dancing and singing around the bed for 2 hours, accompanied by very loud yells of 'mama no' every time I tried to move. He is currently in an updating period with increased talking function - the latest obsession is shouting 'boob' while poking my nipple. I'm definitely wondering why I have placed an order delivery of an October 2016 model.

I have a 2001 model and a 2003 model - their sleep mode functions pretty well, and amazingly enough 'sensible bedtime more' is also still operational. However, they have somehow managed to install the Sarcasm 2012 upgrade without my permission and their Enjoying Time With Family mode is pretty glitchy...

Redhead79 · 26/05/2016 22:32

I would like to report a fault with my 2015 (mark 11) model. There appears to be a fault with 'nap' mode. I think a reboot may help, but I cannot find the control-alt-delete buttons.

FuckingFattyBitch · 26/05/2016 23:10

My 2015 model has glitched. He is no longer in sleep mode despite me putting him in it 3 hours ago. It was supposed to be overnight. How do I fix this bug?

Elfontheedge · 26/05/2016 23:16

Argh you all have my sympathy. My 2016 model has developed a fault and won't go into sleep mode at all. I had exactly the same problem with the 2011 model and it took aaages to fix!

Shirkingfromhome · 26/05/2016 23:22

My 2013 model keeps short-circuiting and keeps defaulting to 'No' command before shutting down completely. Won't recognise default commands such as 'get dressed', 'go to bed', 'get in the car'.

The 2016 model keeps refusing to power down. It's using up lots of battery juice for very little output.

Shall we start a class-action? These items are not as described and I've been told I can't return as they were 'sold as seen'.

FuckingFattyBitch · 26/05/2016 23:25

I think I fixed my 2015 model. I didn't even have to hit it. (That's my default with tech. If it doesn't work, give it a smack) it seemed to slowly power down, after hitting a Peppa pig phone off the floor a few times.

MyFavouriteWasOrinoco · 26/05/2016 23:27

My three versions all have glitches, so I tried the 4 legged furred versions. Off switch works perfectly, but the volume controls are very sensitive. There is also an alarming tendency to move into vacuum mode when you least expect it...

MrsSpecter · 26/05/2016 23:31

I had similar problems with both my '05 and '09 models. The '05 model was easily fixed by purchasing an oral plug-in. Available in most supermarkets and chemists. Fab thing, worked instantly. They should really come as standard. Slight issue with extraction though.

Not compatible with all models though. My '09 model must have had a different socket so it never stayed in.

DropYourSword · 27/05/2016 01:19

Oral plug in Grin

loosechange · 27/05/2016 09:38

Oral plug in made me chuckle.
I am taking it up with the manufacturer.

My 2016 model goes into sleep mode ok but emits the most awful noises and smells so even if it is in sleep mode I'm not Angry

Mine had a software update about 11 months. Sorted out the milk and sleep mostly, but it now has some kind of reverse Siri feature and no volume switch.

MrsSpecter · 27/05/2016 09:58

Reverse siri feature!

My 2014 model didn't come with an off switch or a volume control - and after around 12 months his clothing retention function developed a fault (particularly at night, when he spontaneously removes pyjamas, vest and nappy whilst still in sleep mode) - perhaps I should have complained while he was still within warranty.

My 2016 model thankfully did, however she seems unable to hold a charge for more than an hour or so. Her charge indicator reaches 100% (complete with smiles and "rrrrrr" noises) so I unplug her, then minutes later the "charge low" alarm sounds. When I attempt to plug her back in, she reaches 100% charge immediately but refuses to be unplugged. I have tried alternating the left and right charging stations, but to no avail. The problem seems to be at its worst between the hours of 7pm and 4am, thus making it impossible for me to eat a meal/watch BGT/sleep/bath without at least one boob charging station on standby.

Bloody shoddy manufacturing IMO.

Cantstopsmiling37 · 27/05/2016 11:28

Hmm, seems a common fault with 2014 models - mine worked beautifully until hit 2yr mark when it went into constant demon-mode.
Feel very cheated though as only had 2016 model for 6 weeks and sleep mode does not work at all, charging is unreliable and unpredictable and volume is stuck on scream! Wondering if its a pink model fault as my 2012 pink model was also like this. Thankfully improved performance on the 2012 model kicked in after 6months or so.

MrsRW7 · 27/05/2016 11:36

DP has a very swift to activate 'power down' mode. As soon as he's left unattended without instruction there is immediate default to silent/energy save/sofa vegetable. I just need someone who can copy/ transfer the software to the mark 1 and 2 hybrid prototypes?
