I'm still here 'cos I can't get through to the sawmill people and I have to wait in case they try to deliver. Pah! God knows when I'll fit the shopping in now.
Have just discovered Google Earth and have spent ages trying to find me.

It's just an outdoor pool with a glass cover thingy. The school are forever asking for donations for its upkeep. But it is very convenient having it on the other side of the playground from the classrooms. No marching dozens of children into town to use the municipal pool.
I was in charge of the boys changing room which, as you can imagine, was fun .

Evening

Pretty boring day here. Took dd to Pony Club 10am-1pm, and went shopping very quickly before picking her up.

Very hot, still, clammy and midgy.

Very hot here too. Took DS1 to his karate grading this afternoon. Now downloading Bolt and Mary Poppins for the boys.

I've bought the tent at last! A 2 compartment 4-man tent for £30 in tescos. I have just spent the last 1 1/2 hours putting it up. Next time it'll take more like 20 minutes. Now I just need a campsite. Where on earth do you find those in Cornwall.

I've just booked us two nights in Blackpool for end of September. Thought it was about time dd had the Blackpool experience!

It will be the first time we've been away as a family for years (other than going to my parents each Christmas)!

I'm compiling the list. I went to Blackpool once. Great fun as a kid.

We've had a very busy day. Spent the morning and afternoon as the open-air pool then went to a birthday party. Then DSs went next door to ply with their children. They were absolutely shattered by bedtime.

Exceedingly hot, sweaty, humid, airless and very, very midgy today. Being bitten to bits as I sit here....

We've got the cleaner coming this afternoon and the place is a hell hole...am very very tempted to cancel her!
Once I've spent all morning clearing up, I shall have to go somewhere to get out of her way. (All very embarrassing)

Main business of the day is completing a report I need to do for our planning application.

I also need to tackle dd's bedroom. I'm toying with the idea of packing everything up in bin bags and not letting her have it back until she can keep what is left tidy .
