This is true but they do fulfil the brief I think you'll find!

Ha! Lyra, the very trousers you said you liked have an elasticated waist [vindicated]

Thank you both.

The cotton traders are not me at all. The crinkle cotton ones would have been okay but they are sold out. I don't like the La Redoute ones.
The ones that you like Lyra are much more the right sort, and larger sizes too. More expensive, but are certainly worth considering. Thanks (link doesn't work by the way)

Berrie, I've already been on every single site you linked, bar one .
Trouble with most of them is the small sizes/short leg. I need something full length to cover up all the bloody midge bites on my legs.

I have the joys of school sports day to look forward to...

Hmm, it works fine for me.
I have coffee with DS2's class mums this morning, then after lunch it's DS1's Infants school leavers' concert. I'm so sad he's leaving the lovely cosy infants school and going to juniors with the bigger boys. Also it means I'll have to do two pick-ups as the two schools are kind of separate, although still the same school IYSWIM but the juniors finish 10 minutes later than the infants.

Oggs, they're partially elasticated. You wouldn't see the elastic from the front.

I've just found these (scroll down to blue stripy ones).

Much more me and my price range (ditches pride and ignores fact that they are sold as mens trousers)

Why on earth they think using mens bare feet in promo shots is a good idea is beyond me...

You never see the front of my trousers anyway, my t-shirt/top covers it.

Surely you don't tuck yours into your trousers!

Actually they list those trousers under the women's section too and they have some nice (if somewhat small) tops too.
I like this site. Reasonable prices too on the whole...

Shudder...I hate sports day.

That is a lot of money for those trousers me thinks.

Really? It seems on par with all the others.

Any idea where I would get that sort of fabric to make my own?

I know he's singing head, shoulders knees and toes in French (not on his own, I presume). Other than that I don't know.

I'm sure they will come. I've always found them really quick.

Today I have 3 lessons and happily 2 of them are last lessons. I hope it rains today. I forgot to water last night and everything is very dry. (Berrie ignores the fact she could be out there doing it now rather than typing on here.)

Hope so.

I have to find out if DH's sawbench is being delivered today or not. If not I go shopping. If it is I stay here and tidy up/do washing...

OK change of plan, the children I teach are not there this morning when I got there. Booo, this means I don't finish now for another 2 weeks. Actually, I really wasn't in the mood today.

I spent ages watering last night and then it rained.
Today I'm helping with DS1's class's swimming lessons at the school pool.

Oooo, the school pool eh?
