Here it is
It says suitable for age 10+ so would probably suit DD. It comes in white too. They sell a separate amp for £9.99.

Berrie · 06/10/2009 13:51

Don't know about the rest of the country as they tend to have different holidays to us but we are going on the 17th DH's B'day.

LyraSilvertongue · 06/10/2009 15:09

Ours is w/b Oct 26th.

oggsfrog · 07/10/2009 10:48

Note to self... looking after a puppy is almost as much work as looking after a baby. Actually it is maybe more. A very young baby stays where you put it... and at least a baby has a nappy on...

Maybe I don't want a dog!

oggsfrog · 07/10/2009 21:22

I love her to bits, but she's hard work .

My knees just aren't up to it, and trying to juggle one aged dog, two cats, a boisterous puppy, three ponies and 27 chickens along with two hour-long school runs and all the other housework etc each day is not leaving me much time at all.

Got up 6:45am... started cleaning up mess. 8:15am... just about finished.
8:40am... ready to go back to bed.

Berrie · 08/10/2009 10:33

Yikes.

Berrie · 08/10/2009 10:43

It's a lovely sunny day here. I really ought to go out for a lovel Autumn walk. My Fairy Godmother is coming today to do some ironing and teach me how to make a pair of trousers.

oggsfrog · 08/10/2009 17:04

Wow! trousers? That's impressive!

So, tell me about laptops.
What should I be looking for? Where do I get a cheap one?

OP posts:
Berrie · 08/10/2009 17:15

Ha I have not made any yet!

here
This is what we've got and it does the job. Dh could probably look online and advise you further. I see there is also one on there with no reserve that has a dodgy keyboard. Well you can always plug a usb keyboard into the laptop, they are cheap.

oggsfrog · 09/10/2009 10:57

Puppy not well. Dh has taken her to vets.

OP posts:
Berrie · 09/10/2009 13:04

Oh no...what sort of not well?

oggsfrog · 09/10/2009 19:05

Diarrhoea with bits of blood and not eating.
Vet has given her antibiotics and said if she wasn't eating by tomorrow to take her back.
I made her some minced chicken breast and rice and she has eaten 2 lots. Still has the runs though. We'll just have to wait and see.
Poor mite.

OP posts:
Berrie · 09/10/2009 20:02

Oh ...how horrid

Berrie · 10/10/2009 09:17

How is that lovely puppy with the great name?

LyraSilvertongue · 10/10/2009 10:23

Poor pup

oggsfrog · 10/10/2009 11:17

Pip pup on the mend
Eating lots of chicken and rice and has done a normal poo! Yay!

OP posts:
Berrie · 11/10/2009 12:16

Ah. that's good news!

Berrie · 12/10/2009 10:20

Morning.
Quiet round here nowadays.
Off to see consultant this afternoon. Back is of course quite good at the moment but I was in a real state 3 weeks ago. Hope there is something they can do for me.

oggsfrog · 12/10/2009 11:39

Fingers crossed that they can sort you out Berrie.
Let us know how you get on.

OP posts:
LyraSilvertongue · 12/10/2009 15:58

How did it go Berrie?
Have you thought about (or tried) any alternative therapies? My friend has had a terrible time with her back and she now uses an acupuncturist to keep it under control.

Berrie · 12/10/2009 17:34

I've tried Osteopathy.

I'm booked for an MRI, also for some specialist physio. I was also told to lose some weight!

LyraSilvertongue · 12/10/2009 21:10

My mum had an MRI in the summer after years of back pain. They found what the problem is (a disintegrating cartilege disc) and now can do something about it instead of just giving her painkillers.
Hopefully it will be the same result for you.

Berrie · 13/10/2009 07:59

I suppose so - though I'm not sure I really want a disintegrating disc It would be worse to find nothing which is what I fear which seems odd.
