WAiting for manager of ASDA to call me back I am FURIOUS about this womans attitude towards kids.

In ASDA this afternoon with my 6 year old ds. As I walked down a particular aisle there was another mum with a small child who was screaming about something. The member of staff rather loudly grunted 'When do they go back to school'

Ds and I stoped to look at packed lunch boxes and stuff - the department this woman was shelf stacking. As we were looking ds was asking countless random questions as only 6 year old can and I was answering. She kept leaning accross us to stack which annoyed me. Then as were were walking off she grunted 'For Gods sake just go away'

It was clearly at us there was noone else on the asile at teh time.

I was so cross I challenged her saying 'was that comment directed at my son and I?'

To which she said 'No, I was talking to a fly'

I asked for the manager but he was in a meeting so he is calling me.

I am very very cross. And that is not like me.

I'm amazed that so many of you would be so unbothered by this. I'd be furious. Totally with DrN on this.

zippitippitoes · 01/09/2008 16:46

a 100 quid a week seems a lot to spend in asda

expatinscotland · 01/09/2008 16:47

i wouldn't be bothered by this.

laughalot · 01/09/2008 16:47

Those snotty people in harrods would be the first to complain if someone spoke to them like that. It dosent matter where the hell you shop nobody should speak like that to you. I work in a travel agents and sometimes kids are running sitting down with there parents for ages screaming ect but I would never ever dream of saying that.

expatinscotland · 01/09/2008 16:47

at least you didn't ask to use the loo .

zippitippitoes · 01/09/2008 16:48

it is something i have learned over time that lsoing yer rag is rarely beneficial

Blu · 01/09/2008 16:48

Northerner, LOL at your demonstration as to how easy, and human, it is to get wound up and sweary

DrNortherner · 01/09/2008 16:49

I am not losing my rag, I am simply escalating my complaint in a clear and concise manner.

laughalot · 01/09/2008 16:50

And zipp I would find that totally insulting you saying the clothes are rubbish that just dident have anything to do with the Drnorth thread.

bythepowerofgreyskull · 01/09/2008 16:50

I would have complained.. I complain about customer services alot.
I do not go shopping to be insulted..
If she works in a customer facing role she should know to control her mouth even if she is paid a pitance and has had a bad day.

zippitippitoes · 01/09/2008 16:52

zippitippitoes · 01/09/2008 16:54

laughalot · 01/09/2008 16:56

Its more the fact that you seem to be taking the piss out of Drnorth like asking how she can spend £ 100.00 a week in asda what has that got to do with you anyway ?
