Being rich
Extra-marital affairs

please add to the list of things that, if mentioned in passing, are guaranteed to derail a thread.

@Williamclimbseverest Yes to reproducing before 30, but also strong opposition to reproducing after 34.

We DO also spend money on kids though!
When money was tight and son young I definitely made dog coats rather than buying them ( They are ridiculously expensive for what they are) and only bought small dog presents!

Well exactly, it's not like we're neglecting the kids so the dog can live large, but apparently getting them even a Jumbone or a £5 stocking is ridiculous.

Surrogacy

Buying and selling babies shouldn't be tolerated anywhere, not just MN!

I would add to the existing list anything remotely 'disgusting' or 'vile'. This may include bedding more than a week old, bras worn more than once, loo brushes...it's a long list round here.

Cheeky fuckers.

Speaking to management about lazy co-workers.

BurningBright · 29/01/2025 14:36

Not being able to feed a family of four for three days with one roasted chicken.

Forgot to mention Americans. Very important to remember

Oh yes, Americanisms. How very dare anyone suggest that British English really ought to be the default when in Britain.😂😂

Yes you have four years to birth all your children anything less than 30 and youre a harlot and your children will live in poverty anything over 34 and you won't live to see them in secondary school.

Please plan your family carefully ladies

What happened to Greggs sausage rolls, Pom bears and fruit shoots? Weren’t they the forbidden trinity?

Also tan leather sofas. Much derided on here once upon a time!

Affairs
Thinking about Affairs
Having any friendship that may ever in any level be too friendly and could be classed as the beginning of an affair
Emotional Affairs
Any thought whatsoever about anyone you are not married to

You must own up to all of these things, (even the thoughts) IMMEDIATELY to your ‘poor’ husband who gets an opportunity for a life free from you and your evilness.

also:
Getting a puppy, (unless you word the opening post EXACTLY right)
and
anything other than hate towards any kind of dangerous breed dogs

That I can agree on. They're absolutely hideous, They seem to have been replaced with crushed grey velvet sofas now though.

NotaRealHousewife · 29/01/2025 14:41

RedRiverShore5 · 29/01/2025 14:42

IsThePopeCatholic · 29/01/2025 14:42

En suite bathrooms . Why poo in your bedroom?
Never introduce your children to your new partner until you’re practically married.

Goody2ShoesAndTheFilthyBeast · 29/01/2025 14:43

I'm part of mn and I don't give a shit what any of you do or dont do, so if there's enough of us like me then we can agree that mumsnet doesn't give a shit.

QueSyrahSyrah · 29/01/2025 14:43

Also...

  • Being bothered about your birthday as an adult is ridiculous and childish
  • BUT your DH not being bothered about your (or his own) birthday is abusive, LTB
YoungGunsHavingSomeFunCrazyLadiesKeepEmOnTheRun · 29/01/2025 14:44

People in council houses who need to have repairs done. They are all 'entitled'.

People in council houses in general.

Owning a toilet brush.
Not owning a toilet brush.

Williamclimbseverest · 29/01/2025 14:45

Don't forget

•being rich

•being poor

Anything outside of the "average" is unacceptable and don't forget the average is earning 150k a year. HTH
