Welcome back ladies.

Anyone up for a spot of competitive baking?

Thought we might kick off with the classic Lemon Drizzle Cake but with a twist. Not only will this test out baking skills, but a fair wodge of points will be awarded for selection and photography of said cake somewhere nice.

I will be inviting the MN Patron of the LDC, MarsLady to be this weeks judge.

So rules are.

Make a LDC. Recipe here

Take cake to somewhere outdoorsy and pleasant on the eye, or historical.

Photograph cake.

Eat cake (optional).

Photograph cake being eaten (optional).

Um, well that sounds deeply horrid but may be TMI on a cake thread. I'm sure an anal probe doesn't reveal illegal substance abuse anyway.

MrsFish- Off to visit my parents (there in Idaho) in less than two weeks and don't return till the 12th of nov. so maybe the end of november or in december? If you still want to that is...

Yeah, we should definitely. I'll be busy with new lo the next couple of months anyway, should be in some kind of routine by December

The judges would like to award a late but very special commendation to MrsJohnCusack for most travelled LDC.

although, DH is now badgering me CONSTANTLY wanting to know when I'm going to make another LDC. He's addicted!

considers the possibility of making LDC and taking it on 10 hour flight to seattle then another 5 hour drive across washington state to northern Idaho ...nah would never work I bet customs would confiscate it!

You could always give them a slice!

Anyone up for doing anything the next week or two? I onyl ask becuse I have to make a cheesecake for a dinner and a chocolate birthday cake this week so can definitly do soemthing chocolate cakey or cheesecakey.... as well as get the house spotless and pack for next week..

I suggest you take pictures of them anyway, they can always be a back up for any other comps in the future

mrsfish- is that legal? any news on the baby front? I suppose I really must go get soemthing useful done now really...

friz- yeah i made it but this dial-up is killing me.. i even managed to post on my blog, 9 days till M gets here... sounds like forever. trying to convince my mom to take us out, but i think it will be to the grocery store

Dh is going with that idea we hammered out for the back of the shop hurrah for girl power!
