Welcome back ladies.

Anyone up for a spot of competitive baking?

Thought we might kick off with the classic Lemon Drizzle Cake but with a twist. Not only will this test out baking skills, but a fair wodge of points will be awarded for selection and photography of said cake somewhere nice.

I will be inviting the MN Patron of the LDC, MarsLady to be this weeks judge.

So rules are.

Make a LDC. Recipe here

Take cake to somewhere outdoorsy and pleasant on the eye, or historical.

Photograph cake.

Eat cake (optional).

Photograph cake being eaten (optional).

Sorry to hear you have been porrly. As for the excuse re wooden spoon fatigue, the LDC is an all in one shove it in the magimix jobby (hence presence of baking powder).

Maybe a nice trip out and a hunk of LDC would retore some of your powers?

Oh and it's my fault it's in other subjects. Was trying a new exciting topic out. The MNWI is better suited to recipes I have found.

I would like to quickly point out to any lurkers/persons contemplating entering an LDC, that nudity of any form will not be tolerated here. Oh no siree.

perhaps we should come back to the LDC and try a contest involving chocolate? I can definitly do chocolate.. though that really dosent go with the diet I'm supposed to start today so that my mother dosen't think I'm really that fat when we fly out to visit my parents stateside in two weeks and 3 days... god i'm so disorganized..

off in a bit to drive up the road I'm scared of - we'll see if I make it all the way to my intended destination. THe things I do - DH thinks I've totally lost it. He may have a point
