spoke to my superman this morning, he was about to be pounced upon by physios so wasnt best pleased.

He has had a new IV in, so hoping the central line will be out later. He seems so much better, and is joking about. Cant belive its been a week since our lives changed within moments. He is hoping to be home in about 4-5 weeks, if all carries on well. I cant wait to see him, and give him a hug with no wires and tubes getting in the way. To have him back in our bed, the bed we bought and he slept in for about 3 weeks only.

i am thinking of writing a letter soon to the donor family.

its just wrong. they didnt fight his case, and he wasnt then chosen as the organs recipitant.

the heart became available, they go through their lists, peter matched then it was a wait to see if it was suitable.

Sounds like they were trying to sensationalise their item. As if it wasn't a strong enough story in the first place

What was their response?

The chosen thing is very misleading to the public as it implies there is a selection process other than suitability.

editor is talking to journos tomorrow about it, and i think they are correcting for next week.

i told him it just spoilt the whole thing, as the point of our mini media frenzy was to highlight how organs were matched, not just through blood types but height/weight especially for hearts.

That's good they are going to re-address it. And that will stimulate more publicity too, hopefully.

I saw this and thought how many inaccuracies can you have in one article! Hope you don't mind me joining in having found the link via your blog. I haven't phoned as I know you are busy but I meant what I said after looking after the girls last week LVOC I will have them anytime you only have to pick up the phone. I would prefer it if DD1 didn't use my at school name but I am kind of getting used to it. I'm glad everything is going so well and look forward to catching up at the school gates in a couple of weeks. In the mean time if you need anything (including shopping fetching) give me a ring.

Yes she does! it was just funny as they were all calling me something different. Have DD2 and 3 been to Drs or are you just wait and seeing? Hope you manage to get to Harefield soon and the girls get better. I guess at least if they get all their illness out of the way now you can be germ free for the return of DH. right you may know actually, as dd1 was very vague,. she needs a pencil case, but what do they actually need in it. thhe rate she was going she wanted to have a whole stationary store in hers!

dd's have the same bug that my sisters kids had last week, so its a case of waiting and seeing. and going through calpol/neurofen likes its going out of fashion. I have a timing list on my fridge as i was getting confused over what i had given them each.

oh and my mobile is broken, just getting old one sorted, so cant retrieve numbers or send texts just yet

It is me Sparkly but they weren't at my house. I just delivered lunch and brought DD with me to play. It was a fun afternoon and it was great to see the girls so happy after having had such a streesful time especially in the last few weeks.

i think that was the last lot of sunshine we have had as well

the girls are so looking forward to going back to school and this time they will have happy news for everyone. dd1 says she is going to see Mrs J and tell her herself.

LVOC now should I spoil DD1's shopping spree?
All they really need is a pencil case with pencil, eraser, sharpener and ruler as far as I know. We were supposed to get a letter telling us what they needed but it never got printed for some reason. Do you want me to phone with my number (I don't want to wake girls)
