spoke to my superman this morning, he was about to be pounced upon by physios so wasnt best pleased.

He has had a new IV in, so hoping the central line will be out later. He seems so much better, and is joking about. Cant belive its been a week since our lives changed within moments. He is hoping to be home in about 4-5 weeks, if all carries on well. I cant wait to see him, and give him a hug with no wires and tubes getting in the way. To have him back in our bed, the bed we bought and he slept in for about 3 weeks only.

i am thinking of writing a letter soon to the donor family.

Misdee that is amazing news.It is incredible how life simply goes on.I had mine on a friday and was home the following wednesday as beds were short and I was doing well.On the friday 1 week after the op the window cleaner banged on the window (I was lying on the sofa) and said get up lazy bones I need some water!!!!!I had to laugh as I struggled with the water he had no idea that 1 week earlier I was in an op theatre. It would be amazing to renew your vows they would really have new meaning for you both.It sounds like he is recovering so well it won't be long and he'll be home
