spoke to my superman this morning, he was about to be pounced upon by physios so wasnt best pleased.

He has had a new IV in, so hoping the central line will be out later. He seems so much better, and is joking about. Cant belive its been a week since our lives changed within moments. He is hoping to be home in about 4-5 weeks, if all carries on well. I cant wait to see him, and give him a hug with no wires and tubes getting in the way. To have him back in our bed, the bed we bought and he slept in for about 3 weeks only.

i am thinking of writing a letter soon to the donor family.

Oh I am so very pleased everything is going so well xxx
It is amazing how different life can become in such a short time.
Please don't answer if you don't want to misdee but I am curious. Does a new heart act in exactly the same way or is it a little weaker because of being transferred? and another really nosey question, can peter be a donor himself?
Anyway enough of my nosiness. So pleased he is pink
Thoughts with you all xxx

Glad to hear things are going so well with Peter.

How's the IV phobia going? Am trying to think of ways to help you cope with it. Will rack my brains.

gibberish · 22/08/2007 18:14

OMG OMG OMG - just back from 2 weeks away with no nearby internet and you have made my day. Was wondering how Peter was doing. SO SO happy for you. Off to catch up on the threads and clean up our basement which flooded while we were away (yuck). And order DS a new trampoline as the one we put up 3 days before we went away was destroyed in a storm. So was feeling miserable. But have a big smile on my face now.

LadyVictoriaOfCake · 22/08/2007 18:35

well no real update on superman, he is stable and progressing well.
