spoke to my superman this morning, he was about to be pounced upon by physios so wasnt best pleased.

He has had a new IV in, so hoping the central line will be out later. He seems so much better, and is joking about. Cant belive its been a week since our lives changed within moments. He is hoping to be home in about 4-5 weeks, if all carries on well. I cant wait to see him, and give him a hug with no wires and tubes getting in the way. To have him back in our bed, the bed we bought and he slept in for about 3 weeks only.

i am thinking of writing a letter soon to the donor family.

LMAO.

So delighted for you all, Misdee. I live in WGC and was thrilled to see Peter on the front page of the WHTimes today as I did some last-minute panic shopping for dinner; even though I was in a tearing hurry with two screaming monsters trailing in my wake I stopped and grabbed one and read it through, and thought long and hard about how amazing it all is

i did soprt out my kicthen earlier. and a cupboard.

tomorrow i start work in peters old room, soon to be dd1 room once hospital bed has been collected and i tidy up in there.

Hope news still good today misdee.

Just to give you some extra hope/encouragement - my uncle had a heart transplant in Dublin in 1989 and is still going fine. Has since had a hernia op and a kidney transplant too. Gave me a slight heart attack at my wedding when he keeled over at the end of the night but it was just the result of too much Guinness!

Have spent since 6am searching all the treads to find out what went on when I was away. What a rollercoaster. The Telegraph article was fab.

Am kicking myself as bought a newspaper every day while away but (don't tell anyone!) bought the Mail!

Wishing you and Peter and the girls all the very very very very best.

I hope the donor family see some of this or the newspaper articles and draw some small comfort. They have done a wonderful wonderful thing.

The last twice I've been away for any length of time from mn really awful stuff has happened (last summer esp) so really pleased to return to this.
Its the first thing I've seen as it just arrived in the mn post!
Really looking forward to hearing more good progress soon.
