spoke to my superman this morning, he was about to be pounced upon by physios so wasnt best pleased.

He has had a new IV in, so hoping the central line will be out later. He seems so much better, and is joking about. Cant belive its been a week since our lives changed within moments. He is hoping to be home in about 4-5 weeks, if all carries on well. I cant wait to see him, and give him a hug with no wires and tubes getting in the way. To have him back in our bed, the bed we bought and he slept in for about 3 weeks only.

i am thinking of writing a letter soon to the donor family.

there are some small issues this evening.

the biopsy has shown signs of rejection. grade four, so lowest grade possible, but its still there. hopefully it wont be an issue.

he has also had a small bleed within the heart. they think it may be where they did the biopsy from, but they are keeping an eye with regular echos over the weekend.

everything seems fine. the bleed is small,. doctor today says its nothing to worry about so has said no echo tomorrow. so all good

rejection will be checked again soon i guess with another biopsy, then tweak meds if needed.

I've been away, so thanks for the update. Is he on the HDU now?

Sounds positive that the echo is not needed tomorrow.

not really sure its HDU. in teh transplant unit is a long corridor of rooms, and behind the nurses station is the 'square' of 6 rooms as well. generally these rooms on the square are for patients who need a little extra care (peter was there when he was in end stage heart failure) after operations/transplants/lvad implants.
