spoke to my superman this morning, he was about to be pounced upon by physios so wasnt best pleased.

He has had a new IV in, so hoping the central line will be out later. He seems so much better, and is joking about. Cant belive its been a week since our lives changed within moments. He is hoping to be home in about 4-5 weeks, if all carries on well. I cant wait to see him, and give him a hug with no wires and tubes getting in the way. To have him back in our bed, the bed we bought and he slept in for about 3 weeks only.

i am thinking of writing a letter soon to the donor family.

they have removed the pacers main box, but left the wires in.

not sure yet califrau. the vac pump will be used for a minimum of 3 weeks to help heal the LVAD site.

I have been offline for 3 months and what fantastic news to come back too. I'm sitting here having a little weep. I am so pleased for you all, what courage and strength you have all shown.

I've been on hol, and came back on to see how you all were, and what wonderful news! I'd been wondering about you lots while we were away, and I am so pleased for you.

Misdee, this is such great news. I have just got back today from holiday and came to check on how Peter is doing. I am delighted that he got a heart while I was away and that your long wait is now finally over.

Hope he continues to make a great recovery and is back home where he belongs really soon.

his feeding tube is out, but that is because he kept thropwing it up on sunday. so they have given 24hours to see if he can eat enough to keep going.

yes, where he had all the tubes down during the op and after, his throat is playing up. he can chew fine, just cant swallow. he didnt manage some cod in parsley sauce yesterday and wheatabix as well.

He is looking pink, bet its a huge relief for you all. I take it Peter has seen his new colour, is he amazed by the difference. How is he feeling apart from the sore throat?
