Layering up is indeed the best way to stay warm as the weather turns chilly. Fortunately HBFs also come with cloaks and coats which makes them doubly effective

Anyhow, I spent a lot of time calling people "Twats" in last night's dream. (I think I was in some sort of inter-team competition and we were being sabotaged by other teams and the organiser.) I was actually very sweary yesterday in general, so it obviously spilled over into my subconscious. Why does that never work for the HBFs?
I shall make the effort to prime wench subconscious for tonight. (Fat chance )

I've been to town and started the dreaded shopping. Fuck me, the bloody Christmas music. I was in a foul mood as soon as I went into the first shop. I don't have a list yet, but will start one tomorrow and will be able to tick some stuff off.

Watched ep 1 of Death and Nightingales last night. Very good, very atmospheric.

I have got the Xmas cards out and written three. Go me! Dh has put fairy lights up round the house while I was at swimming with DS. Speaking of which, had a moment after swimming, in the supermarket with horribly expensive shop and then my card kept throwing up 'error' Fortunately they transferred me to another till and it went through. It happened for me when I thought I had more money on the account than I had. Thankfully I had some cash on me also that I could combine with the card.

And, for once, I didn't have my bank card with me. Still, it worked in the end. I was having visions of having to pay with cash and leave half the shop behind.

Friday hurrah! Am out out tonight at a comedy thing - very excited! It does mean I’m missing DH’s Christmas party though which means no hotel, delicious meal, free drink, and dancing.

In real life I got another mouse in the trap, but the loud gnawing fucker is still on the loose (at 3am this morning in the roof above our bed )

I have taken Stupid Cat to the vet over her chucky-upness. Now we have some expensive cat food and drugs. Hopefully this will stop the multiple spews and there'll be no need for expensive tests.

Totally knackered but can't really relax so I'm on the 🍷 Got up at 5.15 this morning because I was going to Stockholm for a work thing and wanted to have plenty of time and not feel stressed. First one hour drive to the commuter train station and of course the train was cancelled so I had to get a later train. Took the tube and used the wrong exit and was completely lost so I arrived late.
Then on my drive home it was dark and really foggy and lots of traffic so not that pleasant.
Thank fuck it's the weekend
