Layering up is indeed the best way to stay warm as the weather turns chilly. Fortunately HBFs also come with cloaks and coats which makes them doubly effective Grin

Lazy days and pink fizz and friends visiting and doing fuck all sound amazing

The rat has obviously packed his little case and moved out Helen

I’ve seen the first 20 to 30 minutes of the Branagh Orient Express film Wicked. It’s not amazing in my opinion. Might see if I can get round to watching the rest. First Fantastic Beasts film is fab.

I’ve some cans of cider I didn’t get round to drinking last night so I shall factor those into my evening plans.

Afternoon. The quiz was quite fun last night, we did better than last time. It's terribly competitive. Glad you had a good evening too LetUs.

I've been industrious today with washing, housework and altering a coat I bought in a sale which wasn't really what I wanted but didn't want to send back as it's only for shopping etc.

I've got another gum infection. It's not aching, just painful if I press it and my cheek is swollen. Hopefully I can get rid of it with the salt water treatment as I don't want to go to the dentist have any antibiotics.

If the rat knows what's good for him and saw what happened to the mice he'll have gone Helen, hopefully.

Yay for lazy day and pink fizz Fancy.

Haven't seen either of those films WW.

Chicken curry as usual and Strictly later. Wine

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 01/12/2018 17:51

I watched a scene from it and a guy is doing a sort of Jean Claude Van Damme kickboxing thing and that put me off, I mean it's a Poirot movie we're talking about. Think I'll just rewatch the version with David Suchet instead from my Poirot DVD box Smile

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 01/12/2018 17:52

Oh no about the infection Apes Sad

Enjoy your cider Letus Wine

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 01/12/2018 17:56

Am back from taking DH and Cat-Free-Friend out for a drink or four

Another vote here for the first Fantastic Beasts film. And also for the attached delight on twitter...

I know nothing about Orient Express though. I have a feeling that reviews were a bit meh, but that's as far as my opinion or knowledge goes.

Oh Apricot, another gum infection Sad hope the salt water rinse does the trick. (That was initially typed as slate water. Don’t use slate. It will hurt).

Hurrah for doing better in the quiz though!

Stick with Suchet Wicked. I don’t think it’s worth the price of a DVD.

Fancy would enjoy some parts of Fantastic Beasts 2. Callum Turner looks rather good in tweed.

Grin at that picture.

Evening
Boo to the gum infection apricot, I hope that clear up soon.

I feel like I'm getting a cold. Another one FFS. Am hoping that some pink fizz may help.......

Ooh letus I didn't know he was in that

FancyFancy · 01/12/2018 21:33

Google is dangerous. Every so often I see a pic of Callum Turner & he looks like my Dad in his twenties Shock

LetUsPrey · 01/12/2018 22:00

Get it down your neck Fancy - and have some pink fizz too

That’s not a good thing Fancy, looking like your dad. He does look good in his tweed as Theseus Scamander. Knows how to handle his wand.

OP posts:
FancyFancy · 01/12/2018 22:12

I'm indulging as I type Smile and watching an Only Connect from Catch Up.

It is not a good thing letus, think that's why it wasn't really a problem in War & Peace as the period costume helped. Not so great when in clothes from the middle of the last century. This is a problem that could be solved by him doing away with clothes altogether.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 01/12/2018 22:46

Wench Tips part 10 million:
HBFs should not bother with clothes.

Have had a fun night and am going to bed. FFS at MN though, half the replies weren't there when I posted the last message. Apricot's gum infection can FTFO. And Hmm at kickboxing in Poirot. Wierd.
and eek at Fancy's Dad/Callum Turner similarities.

Right. Hayloft. Night all...

LetUsPrey · 01/12/2018 22:50

That’s a very valid, well thought out suggestion Fancy. I think you should be allowed to put your theory into practice.

I have been trying to watch a Dan Snow programme I recorded tonight but I get a few minutes in and DH comes in, sits down and asks to put something else on. I’ve let him because he had to go to work today really early and then still took DS1 out to buy a computer part. Dan was looking and being amazing though.

Night helen

Glad you all like my idea Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 02/12/2018 08:33

Morning. No inspired deams to report I'm afraid. No loft update either since not everyone is up, and I don't like to go clattering in the loft yet. There was something scuttling about when I went to bed though, so definitely more to catch...

Breakfast calls...

LetUsPrey · 02/12/2018 09:00

Morning wenches.

You need that Gallagher chap from Knight Takes Queen. He was good at dealing with rats.

Am watching ep1 of Mrs Wilson whilst it’s quiet.

OP posts:
SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 02/12/2018 09:30

The Gallacher chap would work... esp if Athos then comes along to see him off to me as well. No traps were sprung overnight

Is not quiet here at all. DS is playing Fortnite. Friend-who-doesn't-do-cats is watching in bemusement, DH is lying in bed with coffee and cat.

FancyFancy · 02/12/2018 11:58

Morning (just)

Very quiet here and less grey than yesterday. I shall get out in the garden later.

LetUsPrey · 02/12/2018 13:05

That’s the plan Helen. Gallagher gets rid of the rat, with Athos in pursuit of him (Gallagher, not the rat). Athos arrives but finds many other distractions.

Hopefully you’ll have HBFs to help you in the beds Fancy.

I’ve got a bit of a headache, not helped by two children sitting behind me at sportingactivity talking constantly. I get they were excited about the game they were playing but sheesh I go for peace and quiet —and to admire HBI when he’s there which he wasn’t today—

OP posts:
FancyFancy · 02/12/2018 13:11

No HBI? Angry

LetUsPrey · 02/12/2018 13:27

I know Angry. Is unacceptable.

At least I’ve the ironing to look forward to though . I’ll be watching Death and Nightingales whilst ironing. Mrs Wilson was excellent.

OP posts:
SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 02/12/2018 16:36

Afternoon. We have been for a family argument day out including mild grouching and whining from DS. Now it is dark. How is is basically Sunday night already? And why do I still have work to do on a project with a deadline for tomorrow?

at HBI being bloody inconsiderate.

How was the garden Fancy? Any HBFs lurking in the shrubbery?

Hope that apricot's gum is better today.

Did you order any DVDsin the end Wicked?

ApricotCrush · 02/12/2018 16:36

Afternoon wenches. I've actually got the Christmas cards out, but haven't done anything with them yet. Hmm

Watched Strictly. As we've said before, all the other dancers are very distracting. Will have to rewatch Faye as I was watching the goats. Grin How do the judges criticise a dance and then give a 10? Confused I want Bruno's jacket.

I've recorded Death and Nightingales but haven't watched it yet.

Mrs. Wilson is good, isn't it? Ep 2 tonight.

ApricotCrush · 02/12/2018 16:38

Oh, cross-post with Helen. Yes, the gum is feeling a bit better thanks. Hope I've dodged the dentist.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 02/12/2018 17:15

No I didn't Helen. I ordered a BB8 alarm clock instead Grin
