Layering up is indeed the best way to stay warm as the weather turns chilly. Fortunately HBFs also come with cloaks and coats which makes them doubly effective

Parents’ evening went well. Was really just meeting his form teacher who was lovely and said he’d settled in very well and they don’t have any problems with him. We explained about the homework, but the difficulty is they see that his homework’s completed and on time and have no idea what goes on to get him to do it. There was other stuff too but they like him and he’s getting on so that’s good.

Oh lord, I have just been reduced to a gibbering wreck by reading about Remembrance Sunday events (so I'm inflicting the links on you too, and yes, I know one is two years old...)

Have had a little chat with DS2 tonight about homework. We shall see if it makes any difference at all tomorrow evening. Let’s see if me telling DH not to let DS2 on any devices or games when they get in actually gets through. I’ll not hold my breath.

Did quite well on Only Connect. Didn’t do as well on University Challenge as I did last week, so back to normal then.

I would quite like to have been —watching wenches— doing the gardening.

Have been home, helped with homework, went to yoga, and am now eating dinner whilst watching Lego Masters. I would be crap at this programme. Instructions, I need instructions. I save my imagination for other matters.

I'm no use with 'just build something'. I can do things build without instructions (sort of) as long as someone tells me what they want. As you say LetUs - I use my imagination elsewhere

i have work emails to look at. I also want to get to bed at a sensible time.

Evening. DH has been out golfing for the day so I've been trying to get some long overdue jobs done. I've finished the caravan washing and it's all put away.

They don't normally empty our green bins until lunchtime so I thought I could get some more garden rubbish in this morning. They came at 9 o'clock. Bastards.
