Layering up is indeed the best way to stay warm as the weather turns chilly. Fortunately HBFs also come with cloaks and coats which makes them doubly effective Grin

Evening wenches. Hope you’re feeling okay Helen.

I suspect Strike would be good at rubbing your hip better Apricot. Very strong hands.

Blimey I’m knackered. Work thing, home, DS2 swimming, home, DS1 sportingactivity later, need to get petrol, and the contents of the airing cupboard are all over the bed as DH is building new shelves in there.

And no, it’s not too early for Wine. I’d be having one now if I didn’t have to take DS1 out later.

Drinking pink fizz and watching Poirot, life is good SmileWine

LetUsPrey · 09/11/2018 19:25

That does sound good. Which Poirot is it? I watched One Two Buckle My Shoe last weekend.

The cornish mystery and then The disappearance of Mr Davenheim. Getting a bit sleepy now, may have had too much wine. Sigrid is purring next to me on the couch Smile

LetUsPrey · 09/11/2018 21:06

I shall have to look those two up

Wine and a purring cat sounds better than freezing one’s arse off in a cold sports area on a really uncomfortable chair, even if HBI is present

Evening. Have been all over the shop today - picked up new car, met up with friends, picked up DS from school, ferried to SportingActivity, cooked tea...

What I really want is a HBF hot bath (with a HBF) but I think it would actually be bloody rather painful for the rash, so I'll settle for just the HBF. #hopeful #deluded

New car is, um. different. Somewhat less powerful that DH's car which I've been borrowing for the past two weeks! But nice to drive and stuff. I just need to figure out what/how all the buttons work Confused

LetUsPrey · 09/11/2018 22:00

Oooo new car!

Athos will make everything alright Helen

Lovely Jonnie Peacock is on Would I Lie To You? Looks rather gorgeous

HBI selection tonight:

Get down on the floor, stick one leg out and lean forwards - then swap
Hug in and it’ll feel tight
Drop to your knees and then really drive in
If you want to make it harder, you can move your hands from the middle to the outside

OP posts:
SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 09/11/2018 22:29

Well done that HBI - we need cheering up.
Wine etc.

I'm off to the hayloft to lie down on athos super-soft and not scratchy hay. In fact, maybe we could install a Tavern flotation tank for the duration?

LetUsPrey · 09/11/2018 22:39

Flotation tank sounds an excellent idea Helen

I don’t think antihistamines help with shingles itching, or even calamine lotion

OP posts:
SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 09/11/2018 22:47

NHS advice is it keep the rash dry, and to apply a cold compress such as a damp flannel Confused

Oh well. I'm going to the hayloft, where I shall apply soothing HBFs Grin

FancyFancy · 09/11/2018 22:50

Evening, I might have had some Pimms....not really the weather for it but

Ouch helen - I've had that too. In fact my family seem to like getting it repeatedly, fortunately not severely although my grandmother got shingles in her eye. Twice Sad

Aw, Max the cat sounds gorgeous apricot - glad he has a new family.

Wine cheers ww

And yay for HBI, it wouldn't be Friday without him Grin

LetUsPrey · 09/11/2018 23:15

Watching Graham Norton. Ian McKellen is on. I love him. He’s doing a tour and part of it’s going to be very very near me!

HBFs shall be in attendance to apply anything you like Helen, however hard you need it

Pimms is a year round drink Fancy. I have decreed it so

You know what else it’s not Friday without?

hbfs in grubby, billowy shirts?

LetUsPrey · 10/11/2018 09:47

Morning wenches.

Exactly Fancy. Exactly. Well, the grubby , billowy shirt doesn’t stay around for very long obviously Grin

Usual Saturday shenanigans here. Thrillz.

OP posts:
SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 10/11/2018 11:07

Grubby, billowy shirts are excellent wrapping paper, and due to lack of buttons, vary easy to remove Grin

Saturday lie-in here. Plus exciting paperwork tedium. Oh - the joys.

FancyFancy · 10/11/2018 11:20

I can tell you've thought about it a lot helen Grin

LetUsPrey · 10/11/2018 11:25

Proper wench Helen, or improper. Actually both Grin

Am watching Lord Mayor’s Show which for someone who’s not been to London that many times is quite fun because I’m playing “I’ve been there, I went there”. Also one of the walks I did talked a lot about the various Guilds and Worshipful Companies so it’s quite interesting from that point of view.

Also, does anywench want a PITA 17 year old? No need to offer anything in return.

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 10/11/2018 11:34

On a rather more shallow note, I’m rather enjoying the uniforms

OP posts:
SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 10/11/2018 11:43

Oh Grin That's fun. I think the bandleader in front needs to slow down and let the band catch up though.

LetUsPrey · 10/11/2018 11:46

I just said exactly the same thing out loud Helen Grin

OP posts:
SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 10/11/2018 12:00

Wench hive mind Grin

FancyFancy · 10/11/2018 14:23

I made the most of the brief sunshine and did some gardening, came in just in time before the downpour. The cats were not as lucky - FancyCat was somewhat damp when she came in, she soon sorted that out & promptly shook herself Angry That fur can hold a lot of water.

Now enjoying Brew.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 10/11/2018 14:57

Afternoon. Had fika/lunch for over two hours with a friend, felt good talking about all the stuff that's been going on. Then foodshopping and now I'm relaxing on the couch watching some trashy telly.

Hope all wenches are well.

FancyFancy · 10/11/2018 15:07

That sounds like a lovely day ww Smile

is there any faf mixed in with the trash?
