We had LocalTomCat outside DS's bedroom window last week helen - cue much consternation from FancyCat & ScaredyCat. ScaredyCat was growling, sounds fierce but I know for a fact she's only brave behind a pane of glass FancyCat, on the other hand, becomes a hairy ball of fury when she spots another cat anywhere near her territory.

I went to collect my new glasses this morning. When I checked the card I should have gone yesterday. They were very nice about it. And so they should be considering how much they cost.

Urgh at new spendy glasses. I’ve had a reminder to make an appointment at the opticians. I’m less keen now that Dog-A-Like is no longer there. Everything —almost— crossed for successful MOT tomorrow.

Have just remembered I’m supposed to go round to my mum’s tonight. Need to get some photos of younger sister and join in planning of her birthday party. Balls.

Apparently DS got glowing reports at parents evening, and, as discussed, there is no FAF there, so.. It's not the end of the world.

Anyway...

I have just told a customer that I will be starting the small claims court process for an unpaid invoice. Eeek. It may or may not get their attention, but my patience is exhausted. And they've stopped using freelancers anyway, so it's not like I'm losing out of on work.

I got called rude on the phone today because I explained the person the caller wanted to speak to wasn’t in but should be shortly. Rant rant. Offered to take a message (wasn’t anything I could actually deal with myself). Rant rant. Repeated the message offer for the person and also for their department. Rant want to speak to that person now rant. Explained the same thing again. I will confess an edge may have crept into my voice but I was super polite. Said they thought I was very rude. I mentally said whevs but just said “okay then, do you want me to send the message?” Ranted a bit more, called me rude again, asked for my name, carried on ranting, and eventually said bye

I shall now head to the hayloft and claim my reward for being polite and calm in the face of ranting fucktwattery.
