I came home to find out that the the dead apple tree with bird feeders hanging off it and a rose scrambling up it, has broken off leaving a 4' stump and a lots of rose bush trailing over the lawn Not entirely sure where we go from here with that one. Will have to investigate building something for the rose to climb up instead of the tree.

I have been on the stepper again - twice in two days so am feeling suitably pleased with myself.(And y PJ are the right way round tonight) How is MrApricot's knee now, btw? I assume it's better since he was out playing golf in the rain?

He's still doing about 20 minutes on the cross-trainer every night Helen. He's got more dedication than me. The degeneration won't improve but the idea is to build up some muscle to protect it and it seems to be working.
