Pissing it down here. DH took DS2 for his swimming lesson. Told him before that that they weren't going to the supermarket to buy anything. So of course he's walked through the door with a huge tub of sweets and a new DVD FFS. DS1 is being an attitude-filled PITA but that's okay apparently because, according to DH, that's what 15 year olds do. And it's also okay for him to not be dressed and only just have had his breakfast because that's what 15 year olds do. I've pointed out that 15 year olds also get up early and go to their Saturday jobs to earn money. Some study really hard to do their absolute best instead of resting on their laurels and expecting it all to come easy. Hey but guess who's wrong? Forfucksactualsake.

We've got a party tonight (my side). I've no doubt DH will pull his face about having to drive and I'm not really in the mood.

I'm trying to think what DS was like at that age LetUs. I think he had a morning paper round then, but he had an attitude problem. It's not easy with teenagers and raging hormones. Enjoy the party tonight and get sloshed.

Lol at waterborne MrApricot. They had a sailing dinghy once which they sailed on a local reservoir. They became the best in the club at righting it and sailing it dry without getting wet, as they capsized it so often.

He's come home to a plumbing problem. I thought it wasn't right when I saw daylight through the plughole in the bathroom wash basin yesterday and stopped using it. It seems some pipe has come uncoupled and it's flooded under the floor. Fortunately it hasn't come through the ceiling below. He's gone off to get supplies from Wicks.

Can totally commiserate on the teen boy thing, DS is being a bit better this week thankfully but last week I was tearing my hair out over him. I have no idea how my hormones are impacting the situation as I have no clue what's going on with them! I do seem to get disproportionally upset over things at the moment, but hormones have never had that effect on me before, so who knows?

I will never get sick of that Jonnie pic helen, don't worry. Our seats yesterday would've given us a fine rear view of his arse at the start of the race Hope your day out goes well.

Did you manage to stay dry Wicked. Not sure canoeing is for me. Both DC and DH have done it. DS2 will be doing it when he goes on a residential trip from school. I'm trying not to think about it.

Canoeing is wonderful Letus, if you do it on a warm sunny day with no wind. The lake was completely calm, very relaxing and I didn't get wet at all We used a big open canoe, I have kayaking a couple of times eons ago which is awesome but it's not easy getting out of the kayak

Wicked I wouldn't even go out on the pedalo thing last year on holiday with DH and the DC. I'm not great with open water and anything smaller than say a 12 person boat

Bees all good - the new lot were obviously a full on swarm - the first lot just a cast from another hive, so I've given them some food to help them get/keep going.

Twitter tells me that TB is on the radio again next Saturday in the sequel to Marathon Man.

Boo to Venus losing, I wanted her to win. Oh well. The winner seemed very jolly. And hurrah for Men's wheelchair doubles. Mens doubles is quite entertaining (when I remember to look up at the TV)
