Morning all... did the usual Saturday night falling asleep with DS last night. I've decided that since he likes it, and it gets me to bed and a sensible time... what's not to like (apart from not spending the night talking nonsense online)?!

Yes LetUs - the bee suit was out yesterday. Though not when I went to feed them, since they seem very placid and unaggressive (that may come back to bite sting me on the bottom, but so far so ok.)

Stupid Cat is still being very good about her eyedrops and I think her eye is improving.

Not sure what our plans for the the day - Fancy's sound fun. Room service, bath big enough for two, that sort of thing....

There was a woman at the party last night who was saying her little girl goes to bed at a regular early time every night and sleeps right through to about 8am and has done since being a baby. I didn't slap her and I didn't say "just wait".

LetUs - that was ridiculously retrained of you! FFS re. these parents with children who sleep sensible hours. I really can't complain too much, but it would be nice if he slept in sometimes.... and yes to Fancy - DD is well old enough to make her own way home with a friend. It will also help teach them independence and responsibility and that FAF should take priority in all cases

Nice Idea WW but too late. I have processed 3 kg blackcurrants [spinning-eyed-emoticon] Most will go in the freezer, but we have one batch of jam, and one batch ready for ice-cream tonight (to go with the chicken and mushroom pie. DH is wonderful... )

All rainy here - must get round to watching Outlander. Unfortunately DH's weekly SportingActivity has a 4 week+ summer hiatus, so I've lost my quiet night in for watching TV...

After the plumbing emergency, we also have an electrical problem. The burglar alarm has been going off spontaneously for a while now, which can be a bit scary, so while the bathroom floor was up DH thought he'd sort that out too. Fingers crossed although he thinks the problem is with the box rather than the wiring inside, as he explained to me in great detail this morning. I don't know why he thinks I might be interested in lives and neutrals and earths.

I wasn't too keen on the new Dr Who when she was in Broadchurch, and it all seems a bit weird to me, but as i don't watch it, my opinion doesn't really matter.

Washing is in mostly, dishes done, and I am ignoring the fact it's Sunday evening with a large glass of Pimms and the tennis. And the prospect of home-made pizza and last week's Poldark because we've managed to get behind again.

My twitter feed and some FB stuff is full of people ranting about how they're 'done' with Doctor Who because a woman has been cast.
