Zombie try an concentrate on what the nurse said; that the side effects mean that the treatment is working.

We'll all keep our fingers crossed for positive news after this week's scans.

I have honestly never heard of egg-in-a-cup. It sounds delicious but can I have it with some of Susie's chips please?

chewingawasp · 27/06/2016 06:57

Hope you are feeling a little better today Zombie and that the forthcoming scan results are positive Flowers

HerRoyalFattyness · 27/06/2016 07:29

zombie I was just going to say what BBB did.

Fiderer · 27/06/2016 07:48

Morning Zombie, you'll be still a-slacking in bed I reckon, you old reprobate. Much love, resting & healing thoughts to you.

Mummylin · 27/06/2016 09:11

Here's hoping that you have now perked up a lot by now. Sorry it's been a bugger for you this time. Fingers are crossed here that your scans have good results.

marriednotdead · 27/06/2016 15:44

Wishing you a good afternoon Zombie, hoping the side effects are easing a bit now. Fingers crossed for positive scan results.

Good wishes and positive vibes to everyone else here struggling with the DBF that is cancer Shamrock

48 hours working in Central London was like two different worlds. Friday post brexit was eerily funereal and everyone seemed very tetchy. Saturday saw the Pride parade pass my workplace and a united carnival atmosphere that made the day before seem like a bad dream!

Susiesoap7 · 27/06/2016 17:47

These are strange days marriednotdead! We can only live one day at a time, not much point worrying about the future, what will be will be 🌺🌺

IamtheZombie · 28/06/2016 11:19

Morning Phalanx.

I'm better than I have been for several days but still not quite right.

I'm also in floods of tears. I've just got off the phone with the veterinary surgery and have an appointment at 2.20 this afternoon for GemmaCat. She has quite bad diarrhea, has lost weight and is lethargic. She's 11 yo. She is the sweetest, gentlest cat I have ever known. I know you shouldn't have favourites but she's mine. When I brought her and her sister, TinkerbelleCat, home they were 10 months old. Tinks immediately settled in nicely but Gemma spent about 6 weeks hiding. One morning I came down and was watching the sunrise when I felt a cat rubbing around my ankles. I chatted to "Tinks" for a few minutes before looking down to find it was Gemma who had finally decided to trust me. Please pray for my furbaby.

Oh zombie Sad

Mummylin · 28/06/2016 12:39

Oh Zombie, that is so sad, hoping they can give her something to improve her health.

Susiesoap7 · 28/06/2016 12:49

Glad you are a little better zombie, I do hope the vet can give Gemma something to make her better, will be thinking about you this afternoon, I used to have dogs and it's as bad as having children when they are ill 🌺🌺

Allalonenow · 28/06/2016 14:31

Ah, sorry to hear that your cat is poorly, hope the vet can help her to recover quickly. I remember you posted pictures of your cats once, they were just beautiful.

Glad you are feeling better in yourself, as B3 says, try to focus on the treatment working well, though it must be hard to do that. Thanks Thanks

Wolfiefan · 28/06/2016 14:35

Hoping you are soon home from the vet with better news.

IamtheZombie · 28/06/2016 15:45

My beautiful, sweet Gemma has crossed the rainbow bridge.

She had a very large mass in her abdomen - almost certainly intestinal lymphoma. There was nothing that could be done except to ease her passing.

Run free now my precious. Thank you for the love, friendship and companionship we shared for 10 years. Mummy will always love you.

Sending love and hugs and an angel to take Gemma over the rainbow bridge💐💐💐

Mummylin · 28/06/2016 16:36

So sorry to see this Zombie, it is heartbreaking when a loved pet dies, they are so much part of the family aren't they.

Allalonenow · 28/06/2016 17:29

Sending you (((((hugs))))) Zombie, your lovely Gemma had a wonderful life with you and you must have given her the best cat life ever.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 28/06/2016 17:31

Oh no, Zombie, so very sorry to read this sweetheart.

And so sudden. Better for her that it was quick but an awful shock for you.

Sending massive hugs xxx

Fiderer · 28/06/2016 19:04

Oh Zombie that's rotten. You poor love.

Allalonenow · 28/06/2016 22:22

Just popping back, as I know you often post late evening.
Sending you love and all my kindest thoughts xxxx.

magimedi · 28/06/2016 22:37

So sorry, so sad.

I've lost many cats over the years & each one always hurts so bloody much.

Sending you a big hug: (((xxx)))

Wolfiefan · 28/06/2016 22:39

So sorry for your loss. She's lucky to have had you and to have been so much loved.

Susiesoap7 · 29/06/2016 09:42

Found these words, hope they may bring you a little comfort zombie. I stood by your bed last night,I came to have a peep,I saw that you were crying, you found it hard to sleep. I'm here so close beside you,so near you everyday, believe me when I tell you, I never went away. 🌸🌸

IamtheZombie · 29/06/2016 11:07

Thank you all for your kind words. There is an enormous hole in my heart and my life right now.

Susie those words are beautiful.

Somehow though, life goes on. I'm off to Birmingham in a couple of hours for my MRI at the QE Hospital. Tomorrow I have my echo-cardiogram at the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford and then my CT scan at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. By the end of July all results should be in and I'll have a better idea of where my treatment goes from here.
