I need to have a sterotactic biopsy on a small suspicious area first and the results from that will determine whether a partial or full mastectomy is required. Treatment should begin within the next couple of weeks.

Ah, the punch and grab biopsy. I remember it well. Mainly for being the last time I had my tit in the mangle. Biopsy itself was relatively painless. There was one OUCH punch but the rest were fine. I hope it goes well for you and that you get your results quickly. The waiting when you're already worried is a real bitch.

I fainted during my last mammogram. Falling backwards into a bin with your boobs out isn't a good look!

Please don't feel ashamed about your fainting, the nurses will all have seen very much worse than that, and it must have been frightening for you.

I'm supposed to be out with friends from work tonight for drinks & a meal. I hope it doesn't rain. Not with the shoes I'm wearing!

Just found out Mum has invasive duct cell breast cancer stage 1. Treatment plan so far is wide local excision with sentinel node biopsy. Then radiotherapy & hormone treatment if all is ok after that.

I had my 'tit in a mangle' biopsy earlier so a bit sore now. I didn't faint though so that's a bonus!

Stage 1 is good. Well, as good as such news ever can be. Sentinel node biopsy is standard "Just to make sure" procedure.

chewing, you probably look like pic 1 now but in a couple of days you'll look like pic 2. Ignore the black dot in the upper left hand corner of the pics. That was one of my radiotherapy tattoos.
