magi am in Germany, lovely place, surrounded by vineyards, castle on the hill, mild climate. We've had no snow this winter which is v unusual & will give the vintners something to complain about but I've learned they complain every year. Too much/too little rain sun frost heat cold hail.

Refugee situation is changing things here sadly, even in this little village. FidGirl was shouted at on the train recently because she was speaking English with a friend. Told she was a terrorist and should go back home. She's 13, white, blonde hair, blue eyes to add to the irony.

She did respond don't know where she learned such words

Zombie as her virtual godmother would have been proud

Hope your side effects are a bit better today Zombie. Take it easy and for now don't worry about your preparations for your friend, just take care of yourself for now, thinking of you.

Hope things are easier today Zombie and the aches are less achey. Like Lin said, just take it easy & rest up for now.

I've just applied for another promotion at work. I must be a glutton for punishment. I don't hold out much hope, but the interview experience if I get shortlisted will be good. And it seems that them what applies for anything & everything get on better.

Fingers crossed Ikl that you will get this one !

Evening all.

Today I was:

Up at 0800. Breakfast at 0900. Back to bed at 1030. Up just in time for the rugby. Watched both games. Ate. Back to bed at 1800. Up at 2115. Watched Casualty then flipped over to btb episodes of Criminal Minds. Almost ready to go back to bed.

Aches were much better today. Temperature was also stable. I just needed to sleep to recover.

I have hopes for tomorrow.

Am glad to see you have perked up from yesterday. Maybe its a case of the quicker the effects come the quicker they will go ! Tomorrow hopefully will be even better for you. Sleep well.

Fid - Sounds very romantic! Is the wine eiswine (sp?). My DS lives in the Alsps (France) & there has been far less snow than usual this year.

Fid - sounds gorgeous and you must be very proud of your DD!

Hope nasty side effects have buggered off now Zombie and you can enjoy this lovely sunny day. I think your amazing to cope with all of this awful treatment in the way that you face it head on. Take it easy until you are feeling a lot better.

Afternoon all.

I spent a lazy weekend mostly resting. Today I feel human again. Well, as human as a Zombie can feel.

Today has been good but I am running out of steam now. Two loads of wash are on the line and a third is still in the machine. The car is full for a run to the recycling centre tomorrow. That included wrestling the old microwave into the boot. One of the very nice men at the site can get it out for me. Removing that gave me room to do a bit of rearranging in the kitchen. Now I'm listening to the breadmaker doing its thing for a fresh loaf of sourdough bread.

So glad to hear that you're feeling better Z, the side effects seemed to hit you faster this time but you've recovered in less time too, is that right?

That's sad to hear about your DD's experience Fid, I really worry about DD2 living in Berlin at the moment.

I think your daughter will be much better off in Berlin than where we are BBB

And my pale skinny 13 yr old daughter coped fine It was unexpected as there's no school run here so they'll all on the train.

I had told her not to say things/write online anything her granny would't want to read.

She said "Fuck off you racist bastard".

Then I told her Granny, my mum, and she said, "Well good for her."

Glad you're picking up Z and I hope you've been able to enjoy the sunshine.

fid you've obviously raised your DD well.
DS1 was appalled today. There was a girl at his school telling people "I'm not having brown people at my party". They are 7. DS1 told her to stop being racist and told the teachers. She walked up behind after school asking if she could come to his party. His reply was "I'm not having racists at my party" .
(Both of them don't have a birthday until October, so why they're talking about parties now I don't bloody know!)
