Good evening Phalanx!

Today was 90% successful. I overslept so missed MaccyD. I've also delayed re-fueling the car until tomorrow. Otherwise I completed my list. I also had to call into the Chemo Day Centre as I couldn't find my blood form; it only took about 2 minutes to print me off a new one.

I will need to get up early tomorrow. I've had a text to say my new passport will be delivered between 08.00 and 12.00. I will no doubt end up dozing in my chair until they knock on the door.

Zombie is knackered. Grin

Susiesoap7 · 01/06/2016 21:17

FFB I've done nothing too! Hope you sleep well zombie, recharge those batteries 🌸🌸🌸

Susiesoap7 · 01/06/2016 21:23

🍔🍔🍔 🍟🍟🍟 sending you Maccyd to eat in bed 🙋

Mummylin · 01/06/2016 22:46

Sorry you had to miss your favourite brekkie Zombie, but glad the test of the day worked out ok. Have you got a spreadsheet with all your apts and things on ? I don't know how else you would remember everything. I can't remember things from one day to another these days ! Good luck with your chemo session, hope you don't get any side effects , will keep fingers crossed. 🌹

IamtheZombie · 02/06/2016 08:36

I am showered and dressed. My passport was delivered at precisely 08.00 am. Shock

What to do now. Go back to bed? Nope. As I said I'm already showered and dressed. Do some gardening? Nah, I'd just get grubby and need to shower again. Do some housework? Why? It will still be here tomorrow. How about having another cup of coffee and then heading in search of a Double Sausage and Egg McMuffin followed by a leisurely Costa Vanilla Latte? Then I could have a bit of a wander around TK Maxx before heading to the hospital for my chemo. Hmmm. I think I may have the beginning of A PLAN. Grin

Hooray for passport delivery.

Sounds like it could have made your morning. Enjoy your breakfast & happy hunting in TK!

Susiesoap7 · 02/06/2016 09:24

Good luck for today zombie, thinking of you 🌸🌸

FuckingFattyBitch · 02/06/2016 11:39

Enjoy your morning zombie and good luck with the chemo.

IamtheZombie · 02/06/2016 18:03

Mission accomplished. Now I can relax (and catch up on paperwork) for a couple of weeks.

iklboo · 02/06/2016 19:27

Lots of relaxing & taking it easy now, please Zombie. Feel good vibes heading your way. I hope side effects are utterly minimal for you.

I'm off to Legoland next week with two very excitable boys. One of which is DH HmmGrin.

Thankfully we got a deal including a stay in a Hilton with its own spa. Guess where I'll be on one of the afternoons?

FuckingFattyBitch · 02/06/2016 19:36

ikl can you leave DH at home and I'll take his place? Grin
zombie I'm sending feel good vibes your way.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 02/06/2016 20:05

Well done ZFlowers

Leave the paperwork till you've recovered.

Spoil yourself for the next few days Smile

iklboo · 02/06/2016 20:07

Sorry FFB DH has to do the driving. Plus it's his birthday treat so I think he'd be a bit upset if I left him at home!

FuckingFattyBitch · 02/06/2016 20:12

Darn it. It was worth a try Grin

Mummylin · 03/06/2016 10:34

Hope you had a good nights sleep Zombie and that the side effects are minimal today.

IamtheZombie · 03/06/2016 13:29

TDM1 (Kadcyla) Cycle 15, Day 2.

I slept for 12 hours last night. Today the aches, pains and fever arrived right on schedule. In the last hour I've managed to open the window, feed the ZombieCats and make myself a cup of coffee. Considering how I feel, that's actually quite good.

ZombieLad tells me he knows what I can do with my shiny new passport. I wonder what he has in mind? Wink

Mummylin · 03/06/2016 16:09

Oh Zombie. I feel another trip abroad to see Zombielad is on the cards for you ! Start planning ! Seems like you slept well, sorry side effects have kicked in, hopefully will soon pass.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 03/06/2016 19:58

That sounds exciting.

I don't like the sound of fever.

Take it very easy xxxBearxxx

IamtheZombie · 03/06/2016 20:24

I added opening the 'greenhouse', preparing and eating a bowl of porridge, a 3 hour nap, feeding the ZombieCats, making a 2nd cup of coffee and starting dinner to today's list. Tonight's menu is grilled salmon, Jersey Royal potatoes and broccoli.

lin, side effects are inevitable. It's just a matter of how well I can control them. With luck I'll be nearly back to normal tomorrow.

BBB, I always run a fever the day after treatment. It would only become a potential problem if it lasted more than a day. I've spoken with my doctors about it and they agree that it's not worth phoning the helpline (thereby triggering a probable admission to hospital) as it's an established part of my reaction to the chemo.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 03/06/2016 22:04

I just remember that it's 'a bad thing' fx it buggers off tomorrow.

Supper sounds lovely, I could eat mountains of Jersey Royals slathered in butter with lots of flakey salt!

IamtheZombie · 04/06/2016 09:15

Fever is gone. (38.0 when I went to bed, 36.8 when I woke up.) Aches and pains are at least 80% better. A bit of housework and a spot of border clearing (a never ending process!) should either banish them or bring them back on.

Now then, what's for breakfast?

OP posts:
Allalonenow · 04/06/2016 09:25

Glad to hear the fever has dropped Zombie don't get too carried away with the gardening, have plenty of tea breaks.

It's Liege waffles and maple syrup for breakfast here! Brew

iklboo · 04/06/2016 16:37

Happy to hear fever has dropped Zombie. Let's hope all aches & pains are banished.

I've had a lovely day so far. Lost 1/2lb at weigh in despite an incredibly naughty two weeks of eating & drinking. Then a wander round the new artisan market near home buying naice things.

I've just been to DS's rugby club to welcome the France U20s team whom we're hosting for the Future Stars of Rugby World Cup. There may have been wine.

Later we're off to the theatre to watch a Hollywood FX show with free tickets from one of DH's pupils.

Then more wine & gin! Grin

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 04/06/2016 21:01

Oh that's good, so we really are getting a pattern, that's great, we can deal with that.

Has it been so muggy where you are?

Supposed to be 28 degrees by Wednesday!

FFS can't we have a gradual slide.
