Hope tomorrow goes well and yis get some answers on weds.
You have been busy today! Busier than me anyway! 😀

FattyNinjaOwl · 16/05/2016 17:08

Busier than me too! It really is lucky you got the letter today. I've had that happen before.

Mummylin · 16/05/2016 17:36

Busier than me too !! You seem to have far more energy than most of us Zombie! I don't know how you do it all. Good about a back up gardener, but it s a blow when you get used to one postie, and you can have a little chat .We had the same one for years, then they changed all the routes and these days we seem to have several different ones, at different times of the day as well Good luck with your apts tomorrow and we'd, hoping all will be well for you.
What is cat grass ?

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 16/05/2016 18:42

I have to confess Z no I didn't notice your 'twins bump'! I tend to focus on faces, so I only noticed your lovely earrings.

If you asked me what anyone was wearing that day, I couldn't tell you Grin

Good luck with appts. this week and yes, what is cat grass?

Susiesoap7 · 16/05/2016 18:57

You are one busy lady zombie! You put us to shame, we will all be routing for you the next couple of days and sending healing vibes your way xx 🌸🌸

Today:

MaccyD breakfast - tick
Echo-cardiogram - tick
Homebase (including new strimmer) - tick
Tesco - Deferred as I'm knackered.

Why am I knackered? Well at least partly because the bedroom smoke alarm's battery appears to be on its last legs and the bloomin' thing started chirping at 03.45. Thankfully it shut up after about 15 minutes.

I had an "interesting" drive to Telford. A couple of miles from home I came up behind a white Hyundai. It was one of those annoying drivers who think their half of the road is straight down the middle and who drives 15 - 20 miles below the speed limit. I followed this car for about 14 miles until we came to a T-junction. I was turning right and the car in front of me was as well. Hyundai began its turn. I quickly checked left and right. How long does that take? A few seconds maybe? When I began my turn, I realised that the Hyundai had disappeared. There was no where it could have turned off. It just wasn't there any longer. I admit it. I was spooked.

Echo-cardiogram went well. I asked the technician for an eyeball estimate of my LVEF and she said it looked OK. I'll probably find out for sure tomorrow when I see my oncologist.

Glad all was okay zombie, maybe the car was guiding you to stay calm , drive slowly, all will be well. 🌸🌸

marriednotdead · 17/05/2016 22:35

I didn't notice any bump either Zombie, you hid it well!

That car sounds spooky, I'm not particularly woo but I wouldn't dismiss Susie's theory...

Just popping by to wish you all the best for tomorrow's appointment, positive answers to be had I hope Shamrock

Have been greatly entertained by iklboo's sparrow chase and such gorgeous small people- FNO you look about 15 years old!

Here's my DGS who's 2.5, he was quite pleased about sort of being able to get into the box Grin

Ach, bloody smoke alarms, you need a long stick to poke it with.

Hmm, your nn sounds a little bit Japanese Susie are you sure you weren't driving the Hyundai?

In a parallel time slice obvs. Grin

Tip: next time, if you make it a red one, Zombie will follow you down the rabbit hole Wink

Allalonenow · 18/05/2016 01:32

That car must have been a glitch in the space/time continuum.

Hope all goes well tomorrow (well later today really).

My smoke alarms sound like intermittent screeching ravens when the batteries run down, totally frightening at night.

FattyNinjaOwl · 18/05/2016 08:01

Aww married look at that grin Grin
My smoke alarms are awful when the battery runs out. I can't stand the noise. Last time the battery ran down I still had my dog and he properly kicked off!

Susiesoap7 · 18/05/2016 09:57

Bbb might have been me driving the car, I do seem to forget things more these days lol. 😛 Wishing you good luck for today zombie will be thinking about you 🌸🌸

And breathe...

Dr. P. says not to worry about my platelet count. It's almost certainly due to my treatment. She confirmed that they would only suspend treatment if it falls below 100. Even then they'd most probably just delay treatment for 5 - 7 days to give the platelets further time to recover. She also said a haemotologist would only consider a platelet transfusion if the level fell below 15.

Painful coccyx and extremely itchy bum: Dr. P. did an exam. No evidence of haemorrhoids but the area is very irritated and there are a couple of skin tags. I'm instructed to be liberal in the use of E45 lotion / cream but should avoid using any steroid creams in that area and to wear gloves in bed so I don't "rip myself a new one" from scratching in my sleep. I stopped in to a Mobility Superstore and bought a couple of special cushions to relieve pressure on the coccyx when I'm seated.

My liver feels OK. The swollen area is several cm below the liver and is possibly bowel. I have been a bit constipated so going to do several days of Senna to clear out as much as possible and see if that helps.

She's noted the greasy hair but nothing in the treatment should be stimulating any hormone production.

CT Scan results aren't back yet. Dr. P. will send them to me when they are in.

Tumour maker (CA15-3) levels are still in the normal range. This is VERY good news as it indicates my treatment is continuing to work well.

Echo-cardiogram results are excellent.

To say I am much relieved is the understatement of the year.

Very glad to hear all that Z Flowers
Well....except the bum related stuff.
That's a bummer
sorry I couldn't resist!!
Smile

iklboo · 18/05/2016 19:38

That's great news Zombie - apart from your nether bother. You must be so relieved.

Susiesoap7 · 18/05/2016 20:18

Wonderful news zombie! Been thinking about you wondering how you got on. Have you tried putting sea salt in the bath for nether regions it's very soothing. 🌸🌸

Susiesoap7 · 18/05/2016 20:24

I'm just assuming you have a bath, if not oilatum bath formula is good for itchy skin and you can dilute it in the sink to bathe yourself with.i use it because I have itchy excema in different parts of the bod.🌸🌸

Mummylin · 18/05/2016 20:46

Excellent news Zombie, so glad you have nothing else to worry about. What a tremendous relief that must be. Hope itchy bum soon feels relieved !

Wolfiefan · 18/05/2016 20:48

Really pleased to hear the good news.
Soak in the bath for the other bits?!

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 18/05/2016 23:21

Good news Zombie

What about Sudocrem for the nethers?

Sleep well love xxx

Allalonenow · 18/05/2016 23:39

Glad it was all so positive for you today Zombie, that will ease your mind now.

What about Baby Bottom Butter to soothe your derrière? Waitrose and Ocado sell it, and I'm sure M&S and the like will have something similar.
Baggy PJs might be more comfortable than gloves too!

Did you get your smoke alarm sorted out? Hope you have a calm day tomorrow.

iklboo · 19/05/2016 19:50

It's official. I am utterly shit at being romantic & sexy. After a crappy week at work DH & I decided, sod it, let's have a nice bottle of red tonight. He's working till 8:30. So I've just sent him a message:

'Hey babe. I'll be in bed with wind when you get home'.
