And breathe...
Dr. P. says not to worry about my platelet count. It's almost certainly due to my treatment. She confirmed that they would only suspend treatment if it falls below 100. Even then they'd most probably just delay treatment for 5 - 7 days to give the platelets further time to recover. She also said a haemotologist would only consider a platelet transfusion if the level fell below 15.
Painful coccyx and extremely itchy bum: Dr. P. did an exam. No evidence of haemorrhoids but the area is very irritated and there are a couple of skin tags. I'm instructed to be liberal in the use of E45 lotion / cream but should avoid using any steroid creams in that area and to wear gloves in bed so I don't "rip myself a new one" from scratching in my sleep. I stopped in to a Mobility Superstore and bought a couple of special cushions to relieve pressure on the coccyx when I'm seated.
My liver feels OK. The swollen area is several cm below the liver and is possibly bowel. I have been a bit constipated so going to do several days of Senna to clear out as much as possible and see if that helps.
She's noted the greasy hair but nothing in the treatment should be stimulating any hormone production.
CT Scan results aren't back yet. Dr. P. will send them to me when they are in.
Tumour maker (CA15-3) levels are still in the normal range. This is VERY good news as it indicates my treatment is continuing to work well.
Echo-cardiogram results are excellent.
To say I am much relieved is the understatement of the year.
