And Tampax came in a whitish box with little blue stars/asterisks all over it.
(Can you imagine telling an 80's teeneager that the future was string pantyliners (foul foul word-sorry!)??
She'd have laughed in yer face!

littlemisspiggy · 20/10/2005 15:38

Coloured bands (ribbon or velvet) worn across your forehead!! (What was that about?)

Michael Jackson was still normal (just)

plinketyplonk · 20/10/2005 15:44

rah rah skirts
flat top haircut

minging perms / scrunched hair
shoulder pads
aciiiiid house
batwing jumpers

ScreamEagle · 20/10/2005 15:44

A hideous combination of blue and pink eyeshadow. The creme stuff you put on with your fingertips was the ultimate. Did anyone brush glitter on top of their blusher as well??

Ankle boots with legwarmers sitting on the top of them.

Drainpipes - oh how I loved my black drainpipes! Even better when I had my studded black belt draped coolly over one hip.

Adam & The Ants, Howard Jones, Duran Duran and Spandau Ballet!! Loved them all.

Aero · 20/10/2005 16:24

Atari was the TV game of the moment.
Very very bad perms
Paul Young (life size poster pull-out from Jackie) on my door.
Thompson Twins, Wham, Kadgagoogoo , Howard Jones, Nik Kershaw were all the rage.....
Serious amounts of pink and blue eyeshadow floating around.

macwoozy · 20/10/2005 16:26

My boyfriend always stunk of Old spice, and I wasn't any better with my charlie perfume. I thought I looked the bees knees in my Shakin Stevens t shirt, jean jacket and jeans. That reminds me wasn't there a girls mag called Blue Jeans?
