Yeah moondog so would i if DH still didn't hanker after these days!!! I'm sure he's got that jacket hidden away somewhere - with the creases still in the elbows!

moondog · 20/10/2005 17:59

Dodsey, still trying to part mine from his Starsky style cardigan which he keeps telling me is retrocool.
Hmmmmmm

Gameboy,I was a bit of an anachronism-surrounded by a sea of blue eyeliner and puffballs,I had long straight hair, wore a Native American leather jacket covered in fabulous beading (still have it!)and listened to Led Zepp,Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin.

Was never 'with it' (as MIL bless her says) but hey, never entirely without it either.

spidermama · 20/10/2005 18:36

Ahhhh! Anne French cleansing milk Moondog. I'd forgotton about that. Why, I can almost smell it. (Along with Lady Esquire ).

I resent the crap music of the eighties which was the soundtrack to my teens and which meant I had to do the clubbing and drugs bit all over again in my twneties. Aceeeeeeeed!

Hmmmm. Must return to this thread when kids are in bed. I feel a nostalgia bender coming on.

spidermama · 20/10/2005 18:37

Before I go, remember Moonlighting before anyone had heard of Bruce Willis?

elitemeetupCOD · 20/10/2005 18:42

3PRINCESSES · 20/10/2005 18:42

Moondog, I had one of the Levi denim jackets with the Liberty print lining (always worn with the sleeves rolled back, naturally). Found it in the attic the other day and came over all nostalgic...

(then wondered if it would be worth anything on Ebay)

elitemeetupCOD · 20/10/2005 18:43

phew they do

spidermama · 20/10/2005 18:45

I only bought 'products' when I was too young to know better. (In the eighties)

Nightynight · 20/10/2005 19:03

You remember the wedding of Scott and Charlene.

Mobile 'phones were the size and weight of building bricks and their batteries had to be carried in a suitcase.

Smoking was allowed on the tube.

There were still some city fellers with bowler hats, umbrellas and briefcases.

Laughing in wide eyed wonder when your bf explains the reason Frankies RELAX, was banned on Radio 1.

Then singing it in front of your very ancient 35 year old mum, smirking 'cos she wouldn't possibly understand the dirty undertones of the lyrics....

pacinofan · 20/10/2005 19:48

Limara body spray, wore tonnes of it. My first 'grown-up' perfume was Ma Griffe by Carven.

Pacinfan I remember Sasperellas> Were they the same as Oddballs. I used to wear them out and my mum said they made me look like Max Wall.
I cringe to remember my black and pink back combed hair and these ridiculous tight trousers with long pointy shoes and a daft scarfe round my neck.
OMG she was right. Why are mums always right?
Still. My turn to be right now. Heheheheheh!
