Q1 How did using new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness make your hands feel after using it? What did other household users say about this?

I am the only one that washes up by hand and found they were not so dry.

Q2 How did new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness compare to your normal dish washing liquid?

I find that normally if I have small cuts on my hand then my normal washing up liquid stings, Fairy Clean & Care did not.

Q3 Do you think you would buy new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness again? (The recommended price is £1.50 for 433ml though retailers may well have it on special offer)

Yes I would, I have found the bottle to last longer than my normal washing up liquid.

Q4 Would you recommend (or have you already recommended) new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness to your friends?

Yes have recommended it to my school mum friends and my mother and mother-in-law.

Any other comments?

Although peach & mandarin seemed a strange combination at first, I quickly got used to it. Would happily try some of the other fragrances.

hpsaucy · 08/11/2010 14:31

Q1 I found my hands weren't as dry as they usual. DH did ntoice a difference

Q2 A lot better, the smell was great

Q3 Probably,I do like how my hands feel afterwards.

Q4 Yes.

I am still using the bottle I was sent

minipen · 08/11/2010 14:39

Q1 How did using new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness make your hands feel after using it? What did other household users say about this?

My hands usually get very sore, cracked & bleed in this weather, to date they haven't done that which is very promising for me. My daughter thought the bubbles were softer and liked the smell, no difference reported to her actual hands.

Q2 How did new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness compare to your normal dish washing liquid?
I thought it cleaned well, we usually use fairy, no real difference in cleaning.

Q3 Do you think you would buy new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness again? (The recommended price is £1.50 for 433ml though retailers may well have it on special offer)

I would buy it on special offer to feed my secret supply under the sink (remembers an awful day when we had to go to local shop to get washing up liquid, my hands reacted badly & took ages to heal hence secret stash under sink)

Q4 Would you recommend (or have you already recommended) new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness to your friends?

I have already mentioned it to a few people, a couple of kind friends have commented when they wash their own cups!

NoahAndTheWhale · 08/11/2010 14:40

Q1 How did using new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness make your hands feel after using it? What did other household users say about this?

My hands seemed no different really - no softer but no drier

Q2 How did new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness compare to your normal dish washing liquid?

I found the smell odd for a washing up liquid - maybe I have been too conditioned into thinking it should be a green one like original Fairy or citrus. Dishes cleaned fine.

Q3 Do you think you would buy new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness again? (The recommended price is £1.50 for 433ml though retailers may well have it on special offer)

Definitely wouldn't buy at full price - I only buy any washing up liquid on offer.

Q4 Would you recommend (or have you already recommended) new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness to your friends?

Probably unlikely to spontaneously suggest it, but if someone does ask my opinion on washing up liquid I would mention it

LostArt · 08/11/2010 15:04

Q1 How did using new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness make your hands feel after using it? What did other household users say about this?
It made my hands feel a little softer and I liked my hands not smelling of washing up liquid after doing the washing up. Nobody else in the household noticed the different product or the difference it made to my hands.

Q2 How did new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness compare to your normal dish washing liquid?
It cleaned my dishes as good as any other washing up liquid I have used. I liked that it wasn't bright green or yellow and I loved its smell.

Q3 Do you think you would buy new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness again? (The recommended price is £1.50 for 433ml though retailers may well have it on special offer)
I would buy it again, but only if it was the same prices as my usual liquid.

Q4 Would you recommend (or have you already recommended) new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness to your friends?
If someone asked about washing up liquid, I would mention it - but I wouldn't start a conversation about it.

Questions:
Q1 How did using new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness make your hands feel after using it? What did other household users say about this?
They felt softer i.e. very clean and slidey (when dry i mean, not wet)

Q2 How did new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness compare to your normal dish washing liquid? I usually use classic Fairy and my hands seemed dryer particualrly the pads of my thumbs after using Classic.

Q3 Do you think you would buy new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness again? (The recommended price is £1.50 for 433ml though retailers may well have it on special offer)yes probably

Q4 Would you recommend (or have you already recommended) new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness to your friends?
If it came up in the conversation yes!

Any other comments?
Smell is nice and fairly neutral - aloe vera and cucumber.

chocoholic · 08/11/2010 15:57

Q1 How did using new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness make your hands feel after using it? What did other household users say about this?

My hands felt much softer. I've used it as handwash a few times too as it made them feel so much better! No-one else mentioned a thing.

Q2 How did new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness compare to your normal dish washing liquid?

It produced more bubbles which stayed longer. Everything washed up fine. The bubbles felt softer too.

Q3 Do you think you would buy new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness again? (The recommended price is £1.50 for 433ml though retailers may well have it on special offer)

I would buy it again but in a different scent. I had the cucumber & aloe which was a bit bland - does cucumber really have a smell? Nice colour and liked the pearlescence (sp?) but surely there are other green plants that have a better smell.

Q4 Would you recommend (or have you already recommended) new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness to your friends?

I don't often talk about washing up liquid! I might if someone mentioned they had dry hands or if someone mentioned mine (bottle of fairy rather than my dry hands!). I would only say positive things about it if asked directly by someone.

Any other comments?

I would have preferred the purple one but thank you for letting me try it. Smile

Questions:
Q1 How did using new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness make your hands feel after using it? What did other household users say about this?

I did not notice any difference. DH felt that his hands were softer, maybe I need to wash up more :)

Q2 How did new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness compare to your normal dish washing liquid?

I normally use fairy anyway. The dishes were cleaned just as well. The tester smell was lovely. I still have half a bottle so seem to be going through it at the same rate as the original fairy.

Q3 Do you think you would buy new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness again? (The recommended price is £1.50 for 433ml though retailers may well have it on special offer)

I would. I love nice smells in the kitchen. Peach and mandarin is a lovely combination.

Q4 Would you recommend (or have you already recommended) new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness to your friends?

I have told lots of people about the concept of hand cream in the liquid. I have yet to update them on its use. I would tell them that it is a great product and recommend it.

rica · 08/11/2010 16:50

Q1 How did using new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness make your hands feel after using it? What did other household users say about this?

Softer than after using my normal washing up liquid but not as good as expected. I didn?t felt the Olay bit at all ? still had to use hand cream after the washing up and I hoped that this won?t be necessary every time. My husband didn?t notice any difference.

Q2 How did new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness compare to your normal dish washing liquid?

Not as harsh as supermarkets own brand but very similar to other Fairy washing up liquids.

Q3 Do you think you would buy new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness again? (The recommended price is £1.50 for 433ml though retailers may well have it on special offer)

I think I will buy it if it is on offer but otherwise would choose other Fairy washing up product.

Q4 Would you recommend (or have you already recommended) new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness to your friends?

Yes I think I still would.

biggerfeetsmallerboobs · 08/11/2010 16:57

Q1 How did using new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness make your hands feel after using it? What did other household users say about this?
I would say my hands felt a little softer straight after using it but I still needed hand cream.

Q2 How did new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness compare to your normal dish washing liquid?
It got dishes just as clean. I was a little concerned there might be some residue but couldn't see or feel any after rinsing.

Q3 Do you think you would buy new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness again? (The recommended price is £1.50 for 433ml though retailers may well have it on special offer)
I would buy it on special offer if it was £1 or less, which is what I pay for my usual liquid but not at £1.50 - I don't think the difference it made to my hands was worth paying 50p extra.

Q4 Would you recommend (or have you already recommended) new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness to your friends?
I would mention it if we were discussing dishwashing but not otherwise.

Any other comments?
I really liked the smell (aloe and cucumber).

serenity · 08/11/2010 17:00

My Fairy never arrived, so I can't leave feedback Sad but I'm still posting on here as I feel I should still be eligible for the draw! Wink

McGriffo · 08/11/2010 17:35

Q1 My hands do seem to be smoother and less dry after using it. I don't think I've needed to use hand cream as much after washing up. DP said he hasn't really noticed what his hands have been like but then he doesn't really do any a lot of washing up.

Q2 I normally use Ecover which doesn't lather up as much, so that's the main difference I noticed. Performance was good.

Q3 Probably not but that's because I prefer Ecover for its ecological benefits compared to other washing up liquids.

Q4 I probably wouldn't recommend it.

Any other comments? I tried the green one (Aloe and Cucumber?). I thought the smell was subtle but I still wasn't that impressed with it.

EccentricaGallumbits · 08/11/2010 17:42

Q1 How did using new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness make your hands feel after using it? What did other household users say about this?

I think that my hands were not as dried out as after using regular washing liquid. DH didn't notice a difference.

Q2 How did new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness compare to your normal dish washing liquid?

It isn't as affective as regular fairy for getting really crusted stuff off. The bubbles didn't last as long and I found I was using more of it

Q3 Do you think you would buy new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness again? (The recommended price is £1.50 for 433ml though retailers may well have it on special offer)

Don't think so as DH does the shopping and he didn't like it as much as me - unless it was on offer. If I did the shopping I might because I liked the smell.

Q4 Would you recommend (or have you already recommended) new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness to your friends?

no. sorry. unless someone particularly liked the smell.

Any other comments

I got the Aloe vera and cucumber. I loved the smell on my hands afterwards.

Fillybuster · 08/11/2010 18:19

Q1 How did using new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness make your hands feel after using it? What did other household users say about this?

I'm another one with dry hands, which is usually my excuse for not doing the washing-up (can't abide rubber gloves!). I've noticed a big difference; in particular, my hands aren't bright red at the end. My husband wasn't so impressed but agreed his hands felt a bit softer.

Q2 How did new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness compare to your normal dish washing liquid?

It didn't seem to 'cut' through grease as well as normal Fairy liquid, and it didn't create as many bubbles, but on the whole it seemed to work pretty well. My husband really disliked the colour (cream - we have the Almond one) and felt that it looked dirty and unpromising in the bottle. I think we have used a bit more of it/sinkload than with the normal Fairy but it is still lasting reasonably well.

Q3 Do you think you would buy new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness again? (The recommended price is £1.50 for 433ml though retailers may well have it on special offer)

I would buy it if it was on offer and close in price to normal Fairy but otherwise not.

Q4 Would you recommend (or have you already recommended) new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness to your friends?

Probably if they mentioned it, but it doesn't tend to be something I discuss in detail with my friends!

Any other comments?

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to trial the new product - I wouldn't have bought it before trialling it but would do so now if it was an equivalent price (or close) to my normal purchase.

TheBreastmilksOnMe · 08/11/2010 18:51

I used the Aloe Vera and Cucumber.

Q1 How did using new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness make your hands feel after using it? What did other household users say about this?

  • I only noticed a slight difference in softness immediately after using it. My partner felt the same.

Q2 How did new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness compare to your normal dish washing liquid?

  • I found that I didn't need to use as much as I do with the normal Fairy washing-up liquid as it was very soapy. I wasn't sure about the smell, it wasn't unpleasant but it reminded me of a Lynx deodrant.

Q3 Do you think you would buy new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness again? (The recommended price is £1.50 for 433ml though retailers may well have it on special offer)

  • Yes I would as it is nice to have a change.

Q4 Would you recommend (or have you already recommended) new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness to your friends?

  • It hasn't really come up in conversation but if it did then I would recommend it.
FromGirders · 08/11/2010 18:52

Questions:
Q1 How did using new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness make your hands feel after using it? What did other household users say about this?

  • My hands felt slightly softer immediately after they came out of the basin, but once they were properly dry, they didn't feel any different to normal, to be honest. My hands are still dry and cracked, despite copious quantities of handcream :( DH hasn't noticed any difference.

Q2 How did new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness compare to your normal dish washing liquid?
I'm not keen on the smell really. I like the colour (have the orchid one) it goes with my kitchen, so I want to like it more. It has lots of bubbles and cleans well, as I'd expect fom Fairy. I normally use Ecover, so it almost seemed too bubbly . . .

Q3 Do you think you would buy new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness again? (The recommended price is £1.50 for 433ml though retailers may well have it on special offer)
Not likely to buy it again, unless I could see some environmental credentials.

Q4 Would you recommend (or have you already recommended) new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness to your friends?
No, sorry.

iTigress · 08/11/2010 18:58

Q1 How did using new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness make your hands feel after using it? What did other household users say about this?

I just loved the smell - I had the Silk and Orchid one and it left my hands smelling lovely! Well done Fairy for making a lovely perfume that wasn't weird as a w/up liquid IYSWIM. Not sure tbh if it made my hands softer.

Q2 How did new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness compare to your normal dish washing liquid?

Smelt a million times nicer. I thought it wouldn't clean as well as the usual green one but it was absolutely fine, up to Fairy standards.

Q3 Do you think you would buy new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness again? (The recommended price is £1.50 for 433ml though retailers may well have it on special offer)

Hmm not sure, possibly but
not if DH was looking and tbh he does the washing up usually (I cook) so I wouldn't treat him to it!

Q4 Would you recommend (or have you already recommended) new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness to your friends?

My sister was staying and gave it an approving sniff if that counts?

Overall - I do love the smell, but couldn't see a noticeable difference in hand softness tbh. It's a bit like the fancy Lenor Infusions - just makes the house smell lovely, which did make washing up marginally more appealing.

nelix2000 · 08/11/2010 19:02

Q1 I felt my hands were softer, but no-one else noticed.

Q2 I found it washed as well as fairy that I have used before.

Q3 I would buy it on special offer, definately.

Q4 I would tell family about it.

Q1 How did using new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness make your hands feel after using it? What did other household users say about this?
My hands did feel softer after using it and they also smelled nice! My mother in law used it once and commented that her hands also felt soft after.

Q2 How did new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness compare to your normal dish washing liquid?
I usually use ordinary Fairy and found that they both wash equally well and both have nice aromas. The new Clean and Care made my hands slightly softer immediately after use whereas normal Fairy doesn't.

Q3 Do you think you would buy new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness again? (The recommended price is £1.50 for 433ml though retailers may well have it on special offer)
I think that the price is slightly steep if it is not on special offer. I would consider buying again for the full price and I would definitely buy it again if it was on special offer.

Q4 Would you recommend (or have you already recommended) new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness to your friends?
I would recommend to friends and I have already recommended it to my mother in law - and she tried my bottle too!

Any other comments?
I'm still using the bottle that I was sent. It has a great smell - cucumber and aloe vera.

ChavKidston · 08/11/2010 19:42

I had the almond one.

Q1. It did leave my hands less dry than usual. My kids loved the smell.

Q2. It lasted longer than my usual liquid.

Q3. I would certainly buy it again.

Q4. I have already recommended it to friends!

ChutesTooNarrow · 08/11/2010 19:50

Q1 Maybe my hands are a bit softer, I can not really tell. I think I want them to be softer just because I think they should because of using this product if that makes any sense?

Q2 I don't believe it cleaned as well as Ecover, which I normally use. Both my partner and I really hated the overpowering smell. It was also really foamy which I felt was a little bit unnecessary.

Q3 No

Q4 No, mainly because the smell was so off putting.

Any other comments? Er, well because of this product test meaning DP and I had to discuss washing up we mainly pondered on our mutual loathing of it and bought a dishwasher Blush So massive thanks to Fairy for being the proverbial straw that broke the back of our washing up camel Grin

dahu · 08/11/2010 19:51

Q1 A bit softer, they seemed to look and feel better as they smelt so nice.

Q2 Washing the dishes it did as good a job as normal fairy.

Q3 I would buy it, more so if it was on offer.

Q4 Yes I told people at work about it but focusing more on it as a nice smelling handwash rather than focusing on it's dish washing ability.

SirBoobAlot · 08/11/2010 20:08

Q1 How did using new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness make your hands feel after using it? What did other household users say about this?

I wouldn't say they are softer, exactly, but they certainly are not as dry or cracked as normally. Other users have said the same.

Q2 How did new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness compare to your normal dish washing liquid?

I found it overall nicer to use - the smell didn't seem as "plasticy" as the ones I normally use, my hands do not seem as dry, it lasted a long time. Only downside is that the bubbles don't seem to last very long.

Q3 Do you think you would buy new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness again? (The recommended price is £1.50 for 433ml though retailers may well have it on special offer)

I possibly would. I would be more inclined to if it was on offer, but then again, the length of time the bottle lasts for, its worth it.

Q4 Would you recommend (or have you already recommended) new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness to your friends?

I would, and I have :)
