Q1
I thought it made my hands softer, they are generally very dry so it doesn't circumvent the need for moisturiser. I suspect if one had less dry skin to start with it could. My husband hasn't noticed any difference.

Q2
I thought it was less bubbly than some washing up liquids, but not noticably less than the "normal" Fairy I have in. Overall I think the brand is less bubbly than it used to be and requires more detergent for a wash.

Q3
Only on offer. Otherwise I can't justify the price.

Q4
If asked yes, but I can't think that it would ever spontaneously come up in coversation, and I am not so enamoured that I would think to mention it.

Other comments - I had Aloe Vera and Cucumber, non offensive colour and pleasant non obtrusive smell.

runningmonkey · 08/11/2010 13:05

Q1 Sorry to say it made my hands a lot drier than my usual washing up liquid!

Q2 More bubbles but similar standard of cleaning. Didn't like the smell of the bottle I had to try - Peach and Mandarin which smelt v sickly.

Q3 No, sorry

Q4 No, sorry (again!)

Q1 How did using new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness make your hands feel after using it? What did other household users say about this?

My hands felt a little softer after washing up. Husband noticed no difference at all.

Q2 How did new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness compare to your normal dish washing liquid?

No difference in cleaning power.

Q3 Do you think you would buy new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness again? (The recommended price is £1.50 for 433ml though retailers may well have it on special offer)

Would not buy it unless it was on special offer.

Q4 Would you recommend (or have you already recommended) new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness to your friends?

No, because I don't think it made that much difference to the feel of my hands.

sfxmum · 08/11/2010 13:09

just to add when I first applied, for some daft reason I thought it was a hand washing for delicate clothes which I was happy about tryingBlush
was slightly perplexed when I opened the box but hey I always to my dishes but hand anyway so cheers

Question 1 Dh tells me it makes his hands feel lovely and soft

Question 2 Dh says it compares very well to his usual dish washing product and he usually prefers fairy original.

Question 3 Dh says yes he would buy it again.

Question 4 Dh says he already has recommended it to DD1 and DD2

Can you guess who does the washing up at our houseWink

Filmbuffmum · 08/11/2010 13:19

Q1 How did using new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness make your hands feel after using it? What did other household users say about this?

It did feel soft on the hands, but not significantly better than the product which we were already using.

Q2 How did new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness compare to your normal dish washing liquid?

I found the scent too strong, and thought the dishes felt slightly greasy afterwards. To me the product felt more like a shower gel, and although it produced plently of bubbles and cleaned well, I would not switch.

Q3 Do you think you would buy new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness again? (The recommended price is £1.50 for 433ml though retailers may well have it on special offer)

No

Q4 Would you recommend (or have you already recommended) new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness to your friends?

No

Q1 How did using new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness make your hands feel after using it? What did other household users say about this?

I loved using it and the scent was really nice. I did notice that my hands felt soft after using it. My husband and daughter both thought the scent was nice too and that it was mild on their hands.

Q2 How did new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness compare to your normal dish washing liquid?

Much better.

Yes I would.

I would definitely recommend it.

PfftTheMildySpookyDragon · 08/11/2010 13:26

Q1 How did using new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness make your hands feel after using it? What did other household users say about this?

I was pleasantly surprised by the liquid. I am always naturally sceptical about such claims, but it did make my hands softer. Either that, or it just didn't make my hands as dry as other liquids.
I have quite dry hands and get through a lot of hand cream, but did find that while using the washing up liquid, I didn't need to apply my usual cream as often.

My husband did not notice any difference to his hands.

~
Q2 How did new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness compare to your normal dish washing liquid?

I usually use Fairy Washing Up Liquid (standard green liquid). I found that the Clean & Care was not as effective as my usual Fairy liquid. The bubbles did not last as long, and there were less of them. It was not as good at cleaning dishes as my usual Fairy.

Q3 Do you think you would buy new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness again? (The recommended price is £1.50 for 433ml though retailers may well have it on special offer)

Possibly. I like the fact that it softens my hands, and washing up liquids are usually very drying.

However, I switched to standard Fairy in the first place as I was sick of own brand liquids not cleaning well enough. I would not continue using an own brand if it softened my hands as I want the improved cleaning. I don't want to pay more for Fairy and have it not clean as well as Fairy.

Q4 Would you recommend (or have you already recommended) new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness to your friends?

Yes, for their hands. Not for Fairy cleaning.

Any other comments?

The liquid was rather perfumed, it looked like bubble bath and smelled like bubble bath. The bubbles and the water looked like I had added bubble bath to the water.

I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it was good for my hands, if you could develop normal Fairy liquid with a hand cream, that would be nice!

Questions:
Q1 How did using new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness make your hands feel after using it? What did other household users say about this?
They didn't feel any different from when I use my usual Fairy Washing Up Liquid.

Q2 How did new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness compare to your normal dish washing liquid?
The same.

Q3 Do you think you would buy new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness again? (The recommended price is £1.50 for 433ml though retailers may well have it on special offer)
Only if it were the same price or cheaper due to special offers than the normal Fairy Liquid I use.

Q4 Would you recommend (or have you already recommended) new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness to your friends?
Yes. It had a nice smell and is long lasting, doesn't dry hands etc. BUT does not seem any different from the normal Fairy Liquid other than the smell and look of it.

I recieved the Aloe and Cucumber Fairy, Thank you for choosing me to trial this product :)

Q1 How did using new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness make your hands feel after using it? What did other household users say about this?

I have to say I really wasnt expecting it to make a difference to my hands as they are very dry and I am obsessed with buying new handcreams to use on them especially at this time of year. However I am very pleased to report I have noticed a difference, my hands feel much smoother and before when I used antibacterial fairy inbetween my fingers would always be dry and red after washing up but now they feel soft and its great I am really, really pleased. :)
My Partner liked the product as he kept insisting he would do the washing up, it felt strange arguing who would wash the dishes Grin it made a nice change :)

Q2 How did new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness compare to your normal dish washing liquid?

I normally use antibacterial Fairy and I thought the clean and care cleaned my dishes just as good it just had the added bonus of smelling gorgeous and making my hands softer so I think I may have to change which fairy I get :)

Q3 Do you think you would buy new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness again? (The recommended price is £1.50 for 433ml though retailers may well have it on special offer)

Yes I would, I always buy antibacterial fairy anyway which is about the same price, so the price wouldnt bother me and they are always on offer anyway so I stock up :)

Q4 Would you recommend (or have you already recommended) new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness to your friends?

I am slightly sad to be talking about washing up liquid to my sister but I know she always uses the normal fairy and complains about her hands being dry so I told her I was testing the fairy clean and care and I thought it had made a difference to my hands. She is very intrested in trying it for herself.

Any other comments?

Out of all the fragrances they are in the clean and care range I would have chose the aloe and cucumber one I recieved which I was pleased about and I really liked the smell it left in my kitchen. I am fond of scented candles etc and really like my house to smell nice and have to say I liked the smell it left in my kitchen :) Smells slightly like a bubble bath but I liked that.

DomesticGoddessInTraining · 08/11/2010 13:41

Q1 How did using new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness make your hands feel after using it? What did other household users say about this?

My hands normally feel quite dry and sore after washing up (because of a sensitivity to washing up liquid and other cleaning products) but I can honestly say they weren't as bad when using this product.

Q2 How did new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness compare to your normal dish washing liquid?

I thought the 'bubbles' were longer lasting and noticeably felt 'softer'. In terms of washing 'performance' they're probably comparable.

Q3 Do you think you would buy new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness again? (The recommended price is £1.50 for 433ml though retailers may well have it on special offer)

Yes, I probably would.

Q4 Would you recommend (or have you already recommended) new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness to your friends?

I probably would.

Any other comments?
I had the almond one and I really liked the smell. I also really liked the colour as it blended into the kitchen well Grin

Lizzylou · 08/11/2010 13:43

Q1 How did using new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness make your hands feel after using it? What did other household users say about this?

It made my hands feel soft and they smelled strongly too. DH thought the scent (Silk and Orchid)was too strong for his manly hands Hmm

Q2 How did new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness compare to your normal dish washing liquid?

Richer, left my hands softer and definitely more fragrant, also made the kitchen smell very strongly.

Q3 Do you think you would buy new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness again? (The recommended price is £1.50 for 433ml though retailers may well have it on special offer)

Yes, I think I would, if the offer was good enough!

Q4 Would you recommend (or have you already recommended) new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness to your friends?

I have recommended it to my Mother.

countrybump · 08/11/2010 13:46

Questions:
Q1 How did using new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness make your hands feel after using it? What did other household users say about this? My hands are definitely less dry, and are a bit softer.

Q2 How did new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness compare to your normal dish washing liquid? It was just as good at cleaning the dishes (my usual brand of washing up liquid is Fairy though).

Q3 Do you think you would buy new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness again? (The recommended price is £1.50 for 433ml though retailers may well have it on special offer) Yes, probably.

Q4 Would you recommend (or have you already recommended) new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness to your friends?
I would recommend it.

Any other comments?
I didn't like the fragrance of the one I sampled (cucumber and aloe), so would buy a different fragrance next time.

DollyTwat · 08/11/2010 13:58

Q1 ...It was much kinder than the other Fairy washing up liquids. I can't use Fairy normally as it strips the skin off my hands, but this one didn't. Smelt lovely too

Q2 ... It was as effective, not as bubbly, but smelt much much nicer

Q3 ...Yes I think I would.

Q4 ... Yes would recommend if a friend said washing up liq was irritating her/his skin. I don't talk to my friends about washing up liquid often though Grin

TitsalinaBumSquash · 08/11/2010 14:04

Q1 How did using new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness make your hands feel after using it? What did other household users say about this?

Im the only one in this house that washes up Hmm and i really love this product it has made my hads lovely and soft which is a change from them being dry.

Q2 How did new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness compare to your normal dish washing liquid?

I usually use Fairy and the quality of washing the dishes was the same, its great thats why i choose to spend a little bit more and use it over supermarket own brand.

Q3 Do you think you would buy new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness again? (The recommended price is £1.50 for 433ml though retailers may well have it on special offer)

Yes deffinatley Grin

Q4 Would you recommend (or have you already recommended) new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness to your friends?

I am getting some for my Nan she gets dry, sore hands after washing up so she will be thrilled!

I had the Orchid and silk scented one and it smells really lovely and you only need a tiny bit to make lots of bubbles, it cleans the dishes well and makes my hand soft to, whats not to like? Grin

stressheaderic · 08/11/2010 14:06

Questions:
Q1 How did using new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness make your hands feel after using it? What did other household users say about this?
My hands did not feel much softer but they did feel less rough and less cracked, which I was happy about. My DP used it without knowing about the Olay but did not report any difference
Q2 How did new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness compare to your normal dish washing liquid?
I didn't think it was quite as good with heavy-duty washing up, eg pans and ovenware, but for normal dishes, glasses bowls etc, it was good

Q3 Do you think you would buy new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness again? (The recommended price is £1.50 for 433ml though retailers may well have it on special offer)
I would buy it if it was on any kind of offer, in fact I would probably stock up. Otherwise, I'd continue using normal Fairy

Q4 Would you recommend (or have you already recommended) new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness to your friends?
Not actively, but if someone was complaining about dry hands, I would mention it
Any other comments?
It didn't smell of much, but it did seem to last a little longer. It would prob only buy the Aloe and Cucumber one

Thanks to MNHQ and Fairy for this

solo · 08/11/2010 14:10

Q1 How did using new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness make your hands feel after using it? What did other household users say about this?

I found my finger tips wrinkled up really quickly with this and I felt I needed to apply handcream as I usually do straight after washing up.
Sadly, I'm the only washer upper in this household.

Q2 How did new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness compare to your normal dish washing liquid?

I usually use Fairy lavender.

I found that the soap suds with the new one were very soft and in great supply!
The cleaning power was fab, I found it even better than my usual.

Q3 Do you think you would buy new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness again? (The recommended price is £1.50 for 433ml though retailers may well have it on special offer)

If it was on offer I probably would buy it, but I find £1.50 for a fairly small bottle quite expensive, especially as it wrinkles my fingers!

Q4 Would you recommend (or have you already recommended) new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness to your friends?

If I was asked about it, I'd tell them that I like the cleaning power, but I doubt I'd phone them to tell them to be honest.

Other comments.

Questions really.

  1. My brother is paranoid about rinsing the dishes after washing up insisting that the soap causes cancer Hmm. Is there any reason we need to rinse the soap off after washing?

  2. Why can't I find Fairy lavender in the shops in recent months? It's my favourite scent :)

Thank you! and thank you for letting me try out this new Fairy, I've enjoyed the trial, even if I don't enjoy washing up!

TheGrumpalo · 08/11/2010 14:12

Questions:
Q1 How did using new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness make your hands feel after using it? What did other household users say about this?

Whilst washing dishes I did notice a difference in my hands, there was a silky feel to the bubbles and my skin has felt much less dry than it usually does. The only other person that has used it said they noticed the bubbles didn't last very long but they didn't notice any change in their hands but they did only use it once! I do dishes at least three times a day.

Q2 How did new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness compare to your normal dish washing liquid?

I had the silk and orchid one. I loved the smell, found my dishes were washed well and glasses were saprkling. I always use fairy anyway so was happy with the other types.

Q3 Do you think you would buy new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness again? (The recommended price is £1.50 for 433ml though retailers may well have it on special offer)

I would definitely buy it again. Would like to try the others as I like a change of smell as I do so many dishes. Price would be better if it was a bit cheaper but would buy it if it was on offer.

Q4 Would you recommend (or have you already recommended) new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness to your friends?

Yes I would, haven't yet but will do!

HouseOfBamboo · 08/11/2010 14:13

Q1
I think my hands did feel slightly softer - it was kind of like a fabric-conditioner type feel rather than a moisturiser though.

DH didn't notice any difference I don't think Hmm

Q2 How did new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness compare to your normal dish washing liquid?

I've been using Fairy (original green) recently as it has been on offer (2 for £2) and I do find it lasts longer and works well

Owlingate · 08/11/2010 14:16

The other half does most of the washing up so I'm including his comments here too!

  1. Definitely made my hands feel softer, did not need to put hand cream afterwards as I usually do. DP's hands felt softer too to me.

  2. I don't think you need as much as you would with my usual washing up liquid, definitely more bubbles so more effective. Smells nicer too. I don't usually use fairy though so I don't know how it compares to ordinary fairy..

  3. I would if it was nearer £1.

  4. Yes have recommended to my Mum, my Dad has really dry skin so would be good for him (making the men do the washing up is a family tradition).

Agree that the scent was absolutely lovely btw.

CheeryCherry · 08/11/2010 14:19

Q1 How did using new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness make your hands feel after using it? What did other household users say about this? Yes they did feel softer, and far far less dry. I normally have to use hand cream after washing up, but not so with this product. No-one else washes up in this house!

Q2 How did new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness compare to your normal dish washing liquid? I usually use normal Fairy or Ecover, and this new brand was more bubbly and scented, cleaned the dishes equally well, if not better with stained pans.

Q3 Do you think you would buy new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness again? (The recommended price is £1.50 for 433ml though retailers may well have it on special offer) Yes I probably would, especially in bulk when on offer!

Q4 Would you recommend (or have you already recommended) new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness to your friends? Have spoken to my mum about it, and will recommend to friends .

Thankyou for letting me take part in this survey. Good luck with your promotions!

BollocksToThis · 08/11/2010 14:23

Q1 How did using new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness make your hands feel after using it? What did other household users say about this?
They are definitely a little softer, and feel less dry. DP has trouble with his skin being dry but he won't use it because it's pearlescent and he thinks that's weird in a dishwashing liquid Hmm

Q2 How did new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness compare to your normal dish washing liquid?
Nicer smell! And just as effective. I was surprised how little I needed

Q3 Do you think you would buy new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness again? (The recommended price is £1.50 for 433ml though retailers may well have it on special offer)
Possibly (I am a hardened Morning Fresh user), and definitely if on special offer

Q4 Would you recommend (or have you already recommended) new Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness to your friends?
Yes, I think so - it does smell looooovely

mumblechum · 08/11/2010 14:25
