I meant explain, not sexplain. obv.

Kif · 09/10/2008 14:38

surely if TR is an irrelevant and unintresting guest, then it'd mean that the web chat is awkwardly short/trite and that'd be the end of it?

Dunno why webchats need to be uniformly vintage. We're in a world where 'I have two marrows and a kilo of fishheads, what shall I cook for Dp, who is being unreasonable and am I pregnant I have mucus' is vald conversation.

Is it a CRIME to be lightweight? I like TR's bean chilli recipe.

LittleBella · 09/10/2008 14:40

What is Tana's connection with nestle?

My question is, why does Gordon not change nappies? Is it because he thinks cleaning up shit is women's work? Do you agree with him?

FabioCatello · 09/10/2008 14:45

guest, n.
One who is entertained at the house or table of another.

guest speaker, guest star, guest beer ffs.

Money or no - I do think she is a guest. She's a stranger to these shores (possibly), a noob, an outsider, a visitor. She shows up and we ask questions. What's the problem? What has she done that is so offensive and wrong?

whomovedmychocolate · 09/10/2008 14:48

Okay here's a question: Do all the other kids want to come home to tea with your kids and if so, have you ever given them Gregg's sausage rolls and fruit shoots?

TinySocks · 09/10/2008 14:55

I expect Tana doesn't want to answer questions about her husband, but rather about herself and her work. Correct?

On that basis, I cannot contribute, sorry.

I think you should invite Ruth Kelly, that would be extremely interesting.

MARGOsBeenPlayingWithMyNooNoo · 09/10/2008 15:23

I like your question WhoMoved

Tana - Have any of your children developed fussy eating stages (like only eating orange food) and how did you get through it? (we're currently coping with a rice with everything saga at chez margo)

Also, you bake with your little ones, don't you? Do you have to bite your tongue when they make a mess in the kitchen?(I find it very hard to get enthusiastic about cooking with my children for this very reason and for the lack of a dishwasher too)

And my last question......what's your favourite kitchen utensil and why?

LittleBella · 09/10/2008 15:35

Don't see why she shouldn't come on, lots of people are interested in asking her questions.

If it were just about her work then fair enough, it's just her flogging a book, but mn has always been about everything not just the guest speaker's work.

I predict that she'll be better than Dave I've got nothing to say about the current financial crisis and I'm keeping stumm about what I'm going to do about tax credits Cameron. She'll probably be better than that rather unedifying Tony Parsons too and I bet more MNers buy her book.

JoolsToo · 09/10/2008 16:17

who is SHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE?

The only thing I know about Tana Ramsey is that there she had a very tasty recipe in 'delicious' for a chicken and mango casserole thing a few years back. I've made it loads of times, and it is darn tooting yummy! Freezes really well too, and we love it in our house.

Other than that, sorry, I have no idea what to ask her.

Aitch · 09/10/2008 17:33

is it true what we read in popbitch?

GabrieltheToad · 09/10/2008 17:34

Will anyone ever be nice to a guest ever again.

It's like a competition.

Could you dig up Mother T for a chat? I'm sure they'll be lots on here calling her a slag for wearing a blue head piece

Tillyscoutsmum · 09/10/2008 17:41

I read that GR didn't want to be at the birth of his dc's because he was concerned that it would put him off having sex with you in the future ?

Is it true ?

If so, did you mind ?

Who was your birthing partner/s instead of GR ?

TheDullWitch · 09/10/2008 17:46

Everyone was lovely to Alvin Hall. Because he is a PROPER PERSON.

Aitch · 09/10/2008 19:14

seriously, what was so bad about the TP one? i thought it was fine. he's always very helpful to journos needing quotes, bless him.

and wouldn't it be hilarious if twiglett or nappiesgalore or someone came on and revealed herself as TR all along and told you all to fark orf? i do hope so...

Aitch · 09/10/2008 19:15

and tania byron, tdw.

moondog · 09/10/2008 19:17

Oh FFS. Is there no depths to which you will not stoop MN??
The spouses of a man who prostitiutes himself at every available opportunity who pretends that she cook too????

What can she possibly have to say that will enrich our lives an iota.

I want Desmond Tutu.

Twiglett · 09/10/2008 19:18

did you just call me Tana Ramsey

like I'd marry a a meejah-hoor who hopefully only projects an image of chauvanistic foul-mouthed bullying to make a mint buck

take that back now aitch

Twiglett · 09/10/2008 19:20

I'm sure she's very nice but I know nothing about her I'm afraid

I'm actually Nigella Lawson

cocoleBOO · 09/10/2008 19:49

I've only just realised in the last 5 minutes that she isn't called Tanya.
I have no questions because cookery is booooooring.

Megglevache · 09/10/2008 19:57

I'm pretty sure her full name is Gaetana. I knew an Italian girl at school called this, but I don't know if she is Italian- she does look Italian now I come to think about it.

morningpaper · 09/10/2008 20:00

Her full name is Cayetana Elizabeth Hutcheson

twinsetandpearls · 09/10/2008 20:01

We love your raspberry bomb and chicken in a pot.

Megglevache · 09/10/2008 20:55

Oh, right you are I was going for the most-times-anyone-could-say-Italian-in one-sentence award.
